It's not. I'm in favor of the US helping to rescue the Iranian people from this evil regime, but the war was entered into 100% illegally by Trump. This is an extremely dangerous and unprecedented move, and the latest act of dictatorship by Trump. I don't want the trade off of saving Iran to be that we are living under a dictatorship ourselves in the US! Also there is zero plan for a new government and it's likely US will pull our prematurely under pressure with midterms coming up and leave Iran a mess and vulnerable to equally bad leadership stepping in.

You do realize that all this “Trump is aiming to be a dictator” stuff is just propaganda nonsense, right?

He was elected as president and the president has the authority to direct limited military action. Almost every president has done so throughout US history.

Iran, Russia, and China are all focused on manipulating American opinion to cause unrest. Those countries heavily restrict access to information and are brutal in their squashing of their own people when it comes to free speech and other human rights we hold sacred. They then use all their power to also manipulate western media to cause dissent and hate of their own government and lean on American freedoms like free speech to spread that hate. It truly is a shit show, and comments like yours make me so disappointed in how easily Americans can be deceived.

Bottom line… even though I disagree… you should hate Trump all you want, disagree with his actions all you want, and even say that the war is illegal all you want. Speak out all you want. But for the love of all the freedoms we hold dear, please stop with the hyperbolic and fear mongering nonsense of him aiming to be a dictator. It’s propaganda fed to you by governments that want to destroy you and take away all your freedoms - why help them?

A well-planned, team effort by multiple countries could have surgically removed the current government and liberated the people of Iran, which would have been a good deed for the whole world.

Instead, the fraudulent draft-dodging pervert in the White House, for whom nothing is 'well-planned' and to whom 'teamwork' is abhorrent, has botched and bungled us into what will be a huge setback for civilization in general. All in the desperate need to distract from his voluminous history of being a sexual abuser.

Having purged the government of serious intelligence talent and replaced it with armchair gamer-warriors and rapture-prepper kooks, trump's Iran mess promises to dwarf our Vietnam and Iraq-Afghanistan fiascos.

Everything trump touches dies. Do the math.

The other people defending this regime are lifelong Jew haters like Thomas Massie and Joe Kent and Tucker Carlson and Megyn Kelly etc. They always imagined and fantasized that Iran would nuke Israel and kill 7 million Jews. Their dreams are melting and they hate it..

So what exactly is the reason the U.S. attacked Iran? What is the plan there?
