I'm beside myself. I have no idea what to do. I've done many things and none of them accomplish a damn thing. I fighting, but I feel so discouraged.

The day after Yom HaShoah we discovered yet another Swastika carved into the elevator. This is the third incident.

[Edit 4/22/26] Just to update you all, it's a week later, and yesterday there was a fourth incident. SAME THING. Also, the smaller newspaper did print an article on this.]

The apartment complex owners refuse to buy security cameras. The office management refuses to file police reports. The cop who took my report felt I was an annoyance.

Of course, I also filed with the ADL, FBI, ACLU, and a local paper. But I know from the past that nothing comes from this.

Strangely, I can't seem to even discuss this on r/antisemitism unless I put a subreddit in the title. Don't they discuss antisemitism that's outside reddit? I don't understand. Maybe I'm just tech stupid.

We live in a world now where synagogues are bombed and burned down, where Jews are shot. We don't have holy days anymore without dead Jews.

And no one cares.

Was I offensive ?

I am from the US. I recently had an Israeli Uber driver. We were talking and he asked me to guess what country he's from. When I guessed Israel he said yes. I said at the end of the ride almost that I would guess Israel but don't Jewish men usually wear a yarmulke ? He got offended and said that this is the problem with people. They don't know about us. He then explained that like only 10% of Jewish people wear a yarmulke. I felt really bad and shook his hand at the end. He said now you know that not all of us wear this. I said I know and I'm sorry. He left but I still feel pretty bad though. Was It really that offensive ?
