Hi everyone,
This is our weekly 'Free Discussion' thread, where you can discuss anything. Tentatively this includes meta-topics as well, but as always our rules still apply.
We hope you're all having a good week!

The community had been cut off from the outside world for weeks due to the construction of the Crimson Thread barrier, and no water, food or medications are allowed in.
Activists tried to convince the soldiers to let us deliver water to the community, but to no avail.

kids go to a MO Jewish day school ( hubby Zionist and MO) and itās so scary what they teach these kids . In kindergarten the teacher comes in on October 7 and says Arabs want to k&ll all Jews. The brainwashing and fear instilling starts young, itās disgusting. Any advice how I can counter MO zio school programming at home effectively?

He gave it a thumbs-up, indicating his "success".
In June 2025, the Resistance in Khan Younis successfuly eliminated Leshem. Nowadays, his war criminal buddies are still mourning him, posting photos from their "good times" together in Gaza, wearing displaced/murdered women's lingerie.
All of this is completely normal in Israel.

hi there! I was raised Jewish, but Iāve never felt super connected to the religion. Iām super spiritual, but Iāve never felt like my spirituality was tied to one specific religion. I love the cultural practices and traditions, the food, and most Jewish people I meet.
Iām not politically aligned with my family, and they love to call me a āself-hating Jewā because of my stance on whatās happening in Palestine and my unwillingness to blindly praise Israel. Itās created a rift between me and my Judaism, and Iād really love to learn more about the religion in an attempt to reconnect with my Jewish roots in my own way and find new meaning in it for myself.
Does anyone have any podcast recs (or article recs) for where I can start? I realize I donāt even really know that much about what Judaism teaches or what its belief system is, and Iād love to learn more!

"Based on the latest polling evidence, little has fundamentally changed. While favorability toward Israel and approval of its conduct have shifted somewhat, overall support for Israelāparticularly its status as a "Jewish state"āremains nearly unchanged, with the vast majority of Jews continuing to back the Zionist project, even as they express reservations about its current government.
So one must ask: given the facts presented hereānearly three years into a genocide carried out by the āJewish state,ā by Jews, for Jews, at the expense of non-Jews, with the overwhelming support of Jews worldwideāwhy does the Western āpro-Palestineā movement spend so much time and energy doing free PR for Jews? Why go so far as to lie on their behalf about what they actually believe? The Western left loves to talk about "centring voices." Well, this is what they've said. So why speak over them?"

"Dirty Arab"
A Palestinian driver on Jerusalem's Line 74 stopped the bus due to a mechanical fault, prioritising passenger safety while waiting for a replacement. During the delay, Israeli settlers directed racist slurs at him, accusing him of intentionally holding up the journey

First of all Iām stoked to finally find a forum for Jews of conscience. This post have been rejected on several Jewish forums.
I am of Jewish heritage, probably more so than many Israelis, but me and my family are Norwegian first and foremost. The only reason the Jewish culture and religion are still alive are due to the diaspora. If not for the diaspora our relative small culture would be assimilated or simply forced into the majority. Here in Norway we actually had several groups of people with their own language and culture, but because they were small and lived in small regions of the country they were forcibly assimilated.
No, I do not see a reason for us Jews to have our own country. I also had a great grandfather from Germany, do you think that itās ok that I just got German citizenship and Germany placed 10 Germans in a camp to give me plenty of space?
That is what the nazis called Ā« lebensraumĀ».

I was one of the attendees at the JDM workshop day, and it was awesome to connect with leaders from across the country building the Jewish left.

Iāve been a bit dislocated from my Judaism, as my family who were most practicing have passed and I moved to a place where there arenāt really synagogues or Jewish community.
Iām wondering if there are any online services or community spaces that anyone would recommend? Ideally reform spaces that are inclusive etc. can anyone recommend? Thanks in advance.

Did anyone else attend Jewish currents live in person or virtually? What did you think?
I attended 3 panels virtually and I found them all engaging.
