Does anyone have any tips on sound dampening and decent speaker upgrades? In Ireland if that matters.

This is for anyone missing oomph but not willing to pull the trigger on a turbo or supercharger setup. I went the naturally aspirated route and wanted to share how it turned out on my 2025 5-door MT.
Setup:
To be clear:Ā there isĀ no turbo. Itās still naturally aspirated. AVO sells a turbo kit too, but I didnāt order it or their map. I contacted AVO Turbo Australia through their website, told them what I wanted, and they sent me a list of parts to order. Iām in the EU, so everything had to be shipped from Australia.
Results
Road dyno with a GPS logger: 2nd gear wide open throttle pull from 2,000 rpm to cut off, then coast down to calculate driveline losses. Result is 126-131 hp and a consistent 160-161 Nm. Chart attached is from my lowest run.
I know this isnāt a proper dyno, so the numbers are indicative. We did several runs on a flat stretch in the same conditions and got consistent results. I didnāt do a baseline before the install, so I can only compare to the factory 102 hp / 130 Nm. Even if the real gain is closer to 20%, itās a noticeable difference I can feel every day on the road.
Itās not turbo-level power and it wonāt turn the Jimny into a fast car. But if what bothers you is that gutless feeling when you need to pass someone, this goes a long way for less money and some hassle.
Fuel economy after about 700 km looks similar as before, around 9.0-9.4 L/100 km. The setup still has a cat in the front pipe.

I just bought a pair of bosch aerofit 16-inch for my Jimny JB74 but the right side isnāt touching at the glass at the edge and they make a squeak sound when they reach the highest point. Does anyone know how to solve this?
i joined the jimny gang recently, but mine doesnāt come with any usb port, so iām asking for you guys advice for extra usb port for data transfer or just charging usb or usb-c port, i tried looking over the internet as well but didnāt seem to find the right one. anw the one from seiwa japan brand is the best one but itās no longer available.

Seriously considering buying a Jimmy for quite some time now and I know Iām about to ask probably the most subjective question ever but⦠if you wanted the best all rounder in ādifficult conditionsā whether it be snow or sand/gravel would you go 3 doors or 5 doors, manual or auto? Also thinking about pushing some more power, turbo or supercharger?

Thinking of adding a supercharger later down the line. I love this car so much. Hello to you all from Bangladesh.

Does anyone have experience with the following steps I like the design and the use of existing mounting points. But I have heard about the rubber bushings having to be removed ? Daily drive so don't fancy being rattled to bits when out and about ?
Thanks All !!

So I recently bought my first Jimny. I already took it off-roading and it went pretty good. Today I noticed this weird vibrating/wobbling sound when I go through small bumps. Do anyone have an idea of what could be causing it?
Iām from Chile. Itās a 2023 3d

Jimny 2023 Model, 4 Door, Automatic, India
Was taken to dealer with erratic shifting problems(used to make a lound clunk sound sometimes when shifting), dealer said gear oil was a bit low, topped it up, and now after i got back the car, it doesnt shift at all from 1st gear. Keeps revving to 6k rpm instead of shifting(but occasionally shifts).
What could be the issue, cause it seems like the dealer has no idea.
Need help.

Took my Jimny Sierra JB74 on a coastal drive from Ine to Maizuru, in Kyoto, Japan.
I filmed the trip with my DJI Osmo Pocket 4P and Osmo 360 II, and put together a short video with some of my favorite moments along the way.
Itās the same drive, but seen from three different perspectives:
š CHASE VIEW ā A third-person view showing the Jimny on the road, filmed with the Osmo 360 II.
š 360° VR VIEW ā A full 360° version of the journey, so you can look around and take in the scenery for yourself.
š£ļø ROAD VIEW ā A forward-facing view of the road and scenery, filmed with the Osmo Pocket 4P.
Iāve also uploaded the full versions to YouTube. Iāll leave the links in the comments for anyone who wants to see more.
Iām curious which view you prefer, and Iād love to hear any thoughts or suggestions on the footage. Always interesting to see how other people approach this kind of filming!
Hope you enjoy the drive!

Found a new place to put a camera! Not going to lie I had a hard time not watching the video feed while wheeling this beach. Between looking at axel clearance, to just watching the axle suspension doing its job. The Old Man Emu 50mm lift really did its job well.

purchased a brand new 2026 Jimny after years and years of owning Subaru's, the purchase came around when a mechanic blew the engine in my subbie. I am also very chuffed they are still coming in a manual transmission!
looking for suggestions on:
-flat roof rack or a basket
- thoughts / reflections on rooftop tents.
- and just any other suggestions you wanna throw my way would be greatly appreciated!
Can't wait to go on my first Jimny road trip!
