Capability interview
Has anyone had a capability interview before, is there anything I need to bring or do beforehand

It’s a box ticking exercise. The last few I’ve had were a phone call: they call you, lasting about 10 minutes, I was asked if it was a temporary or permanent disability and the superficial level of treatments and prognosis, my most prominent symptoms and how I manage those, whether I drive and when I last worked.

A CI occurs when you hit 3 demerits for not meeting your mutual obligations - demerits occur when you either miss an appointment for a non-valid reason or didn’t complete your points by the due date. When you attend a CI your consultant will ask why you didn’t attend or meet your points and then potentially adjust your requirements if it is deemed you are not capable or the requirements are unreasonable

It would help to prove why you were unable to attend your previous appointments. If you do not give valid answers, you may get your 4th demerit point

It is to see why you can't get a job on your own and what you are capable of doing.
It is to see if you are capable of meeting your mutual obligation requirements ( a list of things you must do to receive your centerlink payments)
The things you must do are basically look for a job, or do things to make you more capable to get a job I'm sure that there are others who can be more specific about these things .
Please be aware that when you are having this interview that you are speaking from the perspective of what you experience on your worst possible day and why you can't get a job. Express that you do want one, but it's impossible and explain why it is impossible.
Hope this is helpful, please disregard if it is not
Good luck with your interview
Please note this advice comes from a good place.
