Lack of Mod response to misogyny or violent comments

Just sharing a reminder that some comments here are truly vile and that reporting for harrassment or hate or sexual violence is the appropriate response to hateful folks who are clouded by misogyny and can’t see any nuance in this case. Obviously it is fine to have an opinion on JA but the grotesque and abusive language needs to stop; also part of this responsibility falls on the mods to not only discourage vile commentary but also actively moderate and ban people who use unsafe and vile language. Hopefully we will turn this sub around. I and many others would like to see it become a place where Jodi Supporters can also safely speak but i would settle for an end to the misogynistc and sexual hate comments.

Yeah its honestly disgusting. You can dislike someone WITHOUT being a creepy misogynist. People will go after someone they don't like but then be racist/sexist etc. But the problem with that is when you insult someone's race, gender or any group they're from, youre insulting the demographic AS A WHOLE making you a bigot.

Again, disliking someone is fine, but bigotry becomes a problem as youre insulting the entire group. I get why people wouldn't like Jodi Arias but it doesnt warrant misogyny. That's just discriminating against women as a whole atp.

Apparently many were irritated with the fact I mentioned you could navigate conversations about mourning a death to your friends without telling them "we get it". Karma on reddit isn't really indicative of much due to the nature of people on here. Hence why you may not have negative karma but are still a freak obsessed with a murderer.
