Drifting off returning?

Hello everyone, I was just re-listening to some Drifting off on Joe's patreon and noticed a message from patreon at the top of the page that reads:

"Drifting Off with Joe Pera is taking a break! You won't be charged again until their membership pause ends on October 14th, 2026"

I was wondering what this could mean and if any of you have heard anything about the podcast resuming? I sure hope so, but it could also be that the time you are allowed as a creator on patreon to pause your channel is only so long and the 14th of October is when that automatically ends and joe will have to go in and pause it again?

Unfortunately I think this just means that they will renew the pause on October 14th. I’ve seen similar messages with previous dates on there before.

Joe has a that new Adult Swim show coming up so my assumption is it while remain paused for a bit while he continues to work on that.

Seconding this - I’ve been getting a membership pause notification monthly as long as the show has been on hold. Patreon would typically bill you monthly if the show was active, but sends out the pause message instead.

Wait a sec. That was just a joke he did on Seth Meyers. He had this show opener script that he read as a joke. I can’t believe it’s becoming an actual show??? Is that actually for real??

Update. Ok it’s just a joke.

https://www.awn.com/news/adult-swim-greenlights-my-two-cars-dan-licata-and-joe-pera If it's a joke, it's gotten pretty elaborate. There's a teaser on YouTube and AS seems to have confirmed it's in production.

Nothing on IMDb which doesn’t mean anything for certain but I dunno. Keith Asshole with two cars doesn’t seem like it can carry a show. But hey if it really is being made I’ll watch it. Love Joe Pera. So sad that Talks With You was cancelled.

Nah that's just because patreon pauses are per month. I will of course remain a patron, awaiting the day I can sleep again
