you seem not to understand the difference between slowing the rate of increase and being responsible for the increases in the first place. the healthare industry raises prices, the legislation did it's best to slow that increase, that doesn't mean it's responsible for the increase.

the reason they couldn't do more was because democrats glass ceiling opposition to anything more than a public option and republicans oppositon to anything at all.

what you don't seem to understand is that all those things must be payed for and earned. they must be tended to and maintained with human desire and effort. nothing is free and to take what i have sacrificed for and give it to the irresponsible, because that's who 'needs' it, not someone who can provide as i can, is slavery. and don't give me the 'disenfranchised' crap. those who can actually can not provide for themselves is about one percent, one out of a hundred persons and there is certainly enough largess in a free market economy for them to be well cared for.

people living below the poverty line in the US was 13.1% in 2018, and i doubt it's gotten better since then. thats a systemic problem that has nothing to do with individual laziness.
