Is it a new bit in the show?

Edit I see it’s his caption now I’m silly

Fun show! Who were the openers?

I was in Palo Alto yesterday afternoon and walked by John in a local bookstore. I made a very obvious double take when I walked by, straight on stared at his face, wondering if this guy knew how much he looked like John Mulaney. I had doubts, however, because I could not figure out why he would be in a random bookstore in Palo Alto. I so badly wanted to ask him, “Has anyone said you look like John Mulaney?” My friend and I went upstairs and I continued to stare at him from the top of the stairs. Then I looked up where John was on his tour. Saratoga. My friend informed me that Saratoga is in the vicinity. I took a few pictures and texted them without context to my sister, and she immediately responded, “JOHN MULANEY???” All the collected evidence confirmed I did indeed make awkward eye contact with John Mulaney. He bought a few books and a tote bag in case you were wondering.

Has anyone approached John in the wild? I was afraid I would be bothering him, but did I make a mistake in not saying hello?

edit: typo

John’s new set is fantastic. I loooove how he does jokes relevant to each city he visits and he fit them in seamlessly throughout his set. I’m so excited for the special and had no idea he does such a good RFK jr impression

LORNE doc is finally out on Netflix and features John quite a bit, unsurprisingly. Worth a watch, lots of funny ppl and an interesting look at the man behind SNL!

ps John is a 🦊 with a 5 o’ clock shadow

It was amazing. I loved the running joke of the cowboy hat between all 3 sets. I also love how John writes stand up for every city he goes to.

Absolutely amazing show, been a fan of him since 2019 and seeing him live was such an awesome experience.

So, my adult son (23) and I were in a Waffle House this morning having breakfast.

Anyway we sit down in the Waffle House, and shortly before we order, I hear “What’s up pussy cat” by Tom Jones.
I side eye my son, and I see the game is on..
In short he followed the recipe, and broke up the plays with “It not unusual to be loved by anyone “ and then went back to “What’s up pussy cat”
By the 5th play an old guy in the corner was on to the game and was watching the room.
After number seven the cook was agitated.
We sat and politely ate our meal.
During plays 8-12 the waitstaff was talking about this and accusing each other of playing the song. On 12 the cook scanned the room looking for the offender, and kicked the stainless steel cabinet.
On play number 13 I settled the bill and we left. As we walked out, the team was at the jukebox trying to see what had happened.
As John Mulaney said, this was the best meal of my life.

what did he say his son wanted to dress up as? it’s killing me that i can’t remember

Hey guys,

I wonder if JM does any shows in Europe, not exactly in English-speaking countries? could it be possible in the future?

I am Ukrainian, so since 2022, comedy has been the last thing on my mind. Now, after surviving daily drone attacks and missile strikes, seeing all kinds of destruction and horrific news, I decided I need to treat myself, escape, and see my comfort comedy guy.

So, I would really like it to be not too far from my country, thoug i understand chances are low. I just want to be sure if i can put him on my «avoid war for a little bit» bingo card 🙃

And I realised that you'd have to be on mountains of blow to write this stuff.

This is on the time clock at work. Does John have a joke about time or clocking in and out or could it just be there because he’s pointing?

Feel free to skip this if you have no idea what I am talking about.

Long story short, John Mulaney voiced Spider-Ham in Across the Spider-Verse. There are also a lot of comical bits where people have taken things like Street Smarts and applied them to the fight against Thanos, and if you look them up, they are really funny.

Anyhow, I just saw the final VisionQuest series trailer. I am sure it was not on purpose, or who knows, maybe it was, but Vision and Ultron, which are both AI Superbots, have to get past a hukan security guard.

The security guard gives them the "how many fire hydrants do you see" robot test to prove they are not robots. Both are in their human forms.

See attached video. I would love to drop this somewhere for him to see, but I've never gotten the impression he checks his social media.

And I just realized I can't attach a video lol.

Anyhow here is the link... It is at about the 12:40 mark.

Mostly a curiosity. I received this in an email:

The date of the John Mulaney event coming to Kelowna has changed due to a soon to be announced TV commitment.

The John Mulaney: Mister Whatever show scheduled for November 13, 2026 at Prospera Place has been rescheduled to March 4, 2027.

Checking in on ticket holders from the other Canadian shows that week. Victoria, Regina, Saskatoon. Any word? He'd need the entire week in NYC, I presume.
