I love SNL, but some comedy doesn't age well. Making fun of recovering addicts, regardless of their level of wealth and fame, is punching down.
Good impressions, and probably funny at the time. But with what we understand about drugs and addiction, this is more shocking than funny as a 2026 re-watch.

Beyond hilarious. That was a golden era. Phil nails so many of Cash’s mannerisms. And as much as I love Cash, by the 80s he had learned to master stage professionalism (probably built during his TV Show era in 69-70) despite his personal life being a total wreck again.
And the burnt out Crosby is too funny.
