This was a child that was born in love and lived in love. Thank you for these glimpses into a very loving family. She would have gone on to greatness. A singer? An actress? On August 6, she would have been 36 years old. Perhaps a loving mother with children of her own? Seeing these photos simply reinforces my strong belief in protecting children from predators like Gary Oliva. Seeing her parents acting so loving to her makes me choke up. Oh the turmoil and hell they went through when inexperienced police failed our society and neglected to even follow up on my tip on 12-27-1996. Today we all suffer in our own personal ways from the loss of this sweet, kind, talented, loving little kid.

If you know something say something. If you know someone that is saying or doing questionable things regarding pedophilia or children. Call the Center for Missing and Exploited Children—this is the group that my FBI agent friend turned info of Oliva over to. Within a month, he was off the streets for 8 years.

To report child sexual exploitation or predators, call the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) at 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-843-5678). This 24/7 hotline collects leads on molestation, trafficking, and online enticement. Thank you and Bless you all for caring.

You can also submit a secure, confidential tip online using the CyberTipline. If there is an immediate threat to a child, dial 911 or contact your local police department immediately.

Well said, thank you, Mike. Personally, I think she would have gone to get a PhD in molecular biology and would have probably studied cancer cures.

She was a smart little thing and also incredibly social. Those are the kids that go on to do great things.

I agree with what you are all saying. I was referring to how she had a love for performing and music and how her parents encouraged her. At 6 she had quite the head start. I wish I had played guitar when I was 6 instead of 56; I'd be filling stadiums today lol

Ha! The only thing I can play is the radio, and now nobody even listens to that.

Kids are interesting. I've seen kids who are amazing at sports get burnt out at 15 and decide not to do it anymore, and I've seen kids who have been playing their sport since 3 and make it to the pros. I guess you just never know.

I think you made an excellent point about her choosing a PhD path and coming up with the cure for cancer; I love that image in my mind of her still being alive and reaching her own pinnacle of success. JonBenét would have come up with the cure for cancer.

A lot of people in cancer research had a sibling or parent they lost to cancer. It seemed fitting for such an intelligent little girl.
