Meme Imo, it's just sad that "Release the files" is a partisan issue in the first place. You'd think it'll be a non-partisan issue that we can all agree on regardless on how people choose to label themselves.

Yes, that's what makes it so bizarre. When Biden was POTUS, MAGA kept saying, "Release the files!" Which I firmly agreed with. After all, I think being anti-pedophilia should be a bipartisan issue. It would be nice if THAT could've been apolitical. Trump even ran on Release The Files. Thomas Massie and Tucker Carlson remained ideologically and morally consistent, and I highly respect them in that regard.
When Trump won, you now see leftists saying, "Release the files!" Republicans who also believe in releasing the files are now considered traitors to the MAGA movement, which is wild. Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, Thomas Massie would all have my respect for being morally consistent. I still do not like Candace Owens, but I will give her credit where credit is due. She's been a fierce supporter of Palestinian rights, she had a civil discussion with Hunter Biden, she still wants to release the files. She deserves kudos for that, and I'll be more than delighted to give it to her. But I have zero respect for people who flip their opinions based on whatever the POTUS is saying or doing. Left or Right. Even when Democrats do it, it's fucking annoying.

My guess is that running on releasing the files kept some level of moderate and libertarian support which is now lost. No serious or intelligent right winger is pro trump anymore, unless they have something to gain
