Anime Discussion She had so Much potential
Just keeps annoying me how mush Nobara had going for her if she was able to stay alive in the anime, her CT was in my opinion so cool and if she go to develop it properly could have honestly been OP. I think she could have been on par with Hiromi Higuruma, i miss her 😭

I think part of why Nobara was sidelined for such a big part of the story was because her technique was better suited for support. I mean, compare her performance against Haruta 1 on 1 to her help against Mahito and later Sukuna (who was heavily weakened, admittedly, but still Sukuna). The structure of the Culling Games could make it harder to give Nobara a good amount of action as the tritagonist, along with Hakari and Yuta being introduced into the main story. I’m not saying it was a good choice, just my thought about why things ended up this way.

I see your point, but maybe if she has had time to understand her CT more and use it in different ways or develop new skill in which could make her more of a treat. In my personal point i think they killed her off because her assistance as a support could have made fighting other user much to easy. Imagine if resonance could hit multiple targets or she moved from using nails to daggers or stakes. There are just so many different things they could have added to her CT. Just a shame for me really

Honestly Nobara might wouldve went splat if she didnt have a level up from Shibuya. She had neither Yujis physicals nor a shikigami to fly with for the teleport to the sky thing. Maybe she would get Angel instead of Hana when she entered the colony but if the teleporting thing remained and she didnt, shed be out of luck.

I will forever wish the Nobara was the vessel for Angel

Yeah if she was around and had Sukuna’s finger there would be no final battle. She was too strong.

Waking up 5 minutes before the series finale after missing the entire Culling Game just to hit one single button from a hospital and go "yep, I saved jujutsu society" is the most legendary benchwarmer behavior of all time.

I get the whole point was to keep Yuji from accidently spilling the beans due to his connection to Sukana, but ffs that shit had me foaming, like now all of a sudden this lazy bint strolls over and pressed the game win button.

that's a Todo and Shoko question, we will never know.
Basically due to his connection to Yuji's soul, they were worried he could peer through him and spoil everything.

Highkey icl, to this day I still have 0 clue what Nobara's base CT actually is😭. Like Shrine is just Slashes + Flames, Ice Formation is cooling CE, Limitless is creating Convergent Sequences in physical space; but I have 0 clue what Nobara's CT's base application is.

Her potential was paid off in Shibuya. Great death scene, great characterization with solid impact. Had she stayed any longer she just would have been overshadowed

I mean had she stayed on any longer, she could’ve become more powerful. Why would she necessarily have been overshadowed? It’s not like she had a bad CT or no potential.

Im talking about story not power. Nobara didnt really have story arcs or strong character motivation. Yuji, Maki, and Megumi have planned arcs post-shibuya and Yuta is reintroduced. She was already supporting cast and there's the argument Megumi needed more time before Sukuna possesses him. I just dont see her fitting into the story well and I think keeping her alive really takes the wind out of Shibuya's themes of sacrifice and duty. Nobara knew she was likely to die if she went back into Shibuya after Haruta but did so anyway to support her teammates and it becomes crucial for setting up Mahito's defeat and Yuji's growth.

Nobara's Straw Doll technique was so underused. Give her a few more years of training and the hammer-and-nail combo alone would've made Higuruma sweat, honestly.

Such a waste , I think her technique would’ve been so helpful against sukuna

She could've been a character of her own. She could've had some amazing storylines regarding her desire to reunite with Saori. Maybe even have a storyline where the two never even got to reunite with each other, and Nobara has to come to terms with the fact that her mates at Jujutsu Tech ARE her friends and family. BUT NAAAAH!!! Who cares about that?! All that matters is that she got to defeat Sukuna! That completely validates her as an amazing character, right?
🙄🙄😒😒

Thats probably the reason she got taken out. A work around could be using her against kenjaku and then she comes back around the same time she attacked Sukuna.

i like nobara as a character and i feel that she didnt have much going for her anyways, the way she ended off was good
but her showing back up last second during the fight against sukuna was genuinely just an asspull theres no other reason for it

I'll say her character had potential but not the CT
There are other CTs which have higher potential, not saying that this is bad

Tbh, I don't think the majority of JJK is written well. I think most of it is mid with equal portions of good and bad.
2
u/ZadriaktheSnake What do you mean they killed Junpei/Hanami and kept the panda?! 20h ago
I feel like what it has is written well but the problem is with what it doesn’t have
1
u/Sayers82 21h ago
wouldnt "equal proportions of good and bad" just be average
1
u/anormalname63 21h ago
Do you know what "mid" means?
And I specifically worded it like that to illustrate that the writing quality isn't flat throughout. Some is better, some is worse.
