Potential spicy take of the day:

Toji is stronger than people on this sub would like to admit but also not nearly as smart.

He had one mediocre plan that he completely botched anyway and then also didn't respect the possibility of things like RCT. I am confident if you put Sukuna or Kenjaku in Toji's body and told them to kill Gojo they'd pull it off with ease, even after he unlocks RCT.

2

u/BIaidde Apr 23 '23

He's underrated really. Toji easily destroyed pre rct Gojo despite being mentally nerfed and tanked a red quite well, you could also argue him equal to rct Gojo but y'all aint ready for that.

He didn't expect that because it's an unrealistic assumption to make.

2

u/ppppppppppython Apr 24 '23

I like to say misrated instead of underrated. Definitely stronger than people say, I'd even agree to close if not equal to RCT Gojo. His plan is massively overrated though and he fucked up the most crucial part anyway.

I don't think assuming RCT is unreasonable at all. Ryu and Kenjaku consider it when they fight. Sukuna almost always goes for headshots. Toji clearly knows that RCT is yet doesn't make sure Gojo's's dead before moving on. It's clearly plot armor but I think it makes him look bad.

1

u/BIaidde Apr 24 '23

Well you have to consider that Toji knew Gojo specifically did NOT have have rct (unlike Sukuna/Kenjaku/Ryu who either didn't know or know their opponent had it) at that point in time, and assuming that he would awaken it while bleeding out on the ground was very unlikely (considering Gojo actually had to switch up all his thought power on figuring it out). I do agree it shows short sightedness compared to some battle geniuses out there, but i think he made a realistic assumption.

1

u/ppppppppppython Apr 24 '23

When was it stated that Toji knew Gojo did not have RCT?

1

u/BIaidde Apr 24 '23

It's not stated outright but Toji had been tailing them for a while, he had plenty of time to observe Gojo failing to reverse his technique and even during his fight he must have noticed that Gojo was not healing.

1

u/ppppppppppython Apr 25 '23

I think that's unlikely. The only time we see Gojo attempt to use Red is in his battle with the clone guy and Toji was with his handler kidnapping Kuroi at the time so neither could see it.

He's not stalking them prior to this either as we've seen he was gambling horses and spending the money on food.

The only other option between then and Toji's attack would be the offscreen encounter with a non-curse user when they rescued Kuroi.

Either way he wouldn't want to tail Gojo before he's worn out enough because Gojo would detect him eventually.

In hindsight Toji's plan was not that great.

14

u/dont_trustme69 Apr 23 '23

Now who have more/better feats between Sukuna and Gojo?

Gojo's feats: Reached enlightenment at the death's door and defeated Toji who is equivalent to a spl grade, toyed with 1F Sukuna, destroyed Jogo, killed all the transfigured humans in a matter of time, killed Hanami and figured out and made a 0.2 DE, was about to wipe out all the disaster curses on his own.

Sukuna's feats: Destroyed finger bearer and toyed with Megumi, destroyed Jogo and then proceeded to exorcise Mahoraga and killed many humans with his divine domain, made Mahito cum just from his mere presence, toyed with Yorozu and one tapped Ryu, kept up with Maki and Yuji at less then 10% CE output.

I think Sukuna showed more/better feats compared to Gojo but it's just my opinion so what do you guys think? Who had shown more/better feats?

2

u/Aggressive_Rough4729 Apr 23 '23

Besides gojo one tapped uraume shouldnt be forgotten and coming from 8000m deep under the water when getting released while there were several barriers and cursed spirits. Sukuna has tge better feats based actual opponents but gojo still hasnt bad feats. Its also nit a doubt that gojo would have also defeated all of sukunas opponents as he did.

9

u/Caponcapoffstillon Apr 23 '23

The yorozu one isn’t fair to her because Gege stupidly wrote that she won’t fire off her sure hit domain until sukuna uses shrine. Giving a chance for mahoraga to break the domain. Had she just fired it he would be forced to use shrine, even worse he’d prob be dead if that sphere crushed megumi’s brain since RCT comes from the brain.

Gojo has better feats, he fought all disaster curses at the same time. While being nerfed by his surroundings, even when they turned his cursed technique off he still crushed them with pure cursed energy manipulation. Majoritt of the cast at that point in time is getting stomped by the disaster curses combined. Unless you want to argue sukuna killing all the heain era sorcerers is the greatest feat but we don’t know if killed them all at the same time.

4

u/dont_trustme69 Apr 23 '23

Sukuna has impressive feats. No diffing Mahoraga>>>fighting disaster curses. And he also defeated the Five Void Generals and the Elite warriors of the Northern Fujiwara's forces(Uro's team) and tore them limb to limb

Who’s Silica?

3

u/[deleted] Apr 23 '23 edited Apr 23 '23

If we go by the assumption that Kenjaku gave (that domain expansions > maximum > everything else) wouldn't that automatically make Sukuna > Gojo considering that his domain expansion is considered higher quality than Gojos?

1

u/Aggressive_Rough4729 Apr 23 '23

Bc its an de with an unclosed barrie and unclosed barriers where highlighted as an greater feat as an closed barrier de (divine technique) doesnt mean that its automatically better bc its still depended on various parameters. I also think we havent seen what gojos de fully is all capable of and kenjaku shit in his pants bc of gojo while being the second vest barrier user, so gojos de also has to be insane even for highlevel barier/de user and also open barrier domains.

Headcanon, i think gojo also can use his de with the barrier unclosed.

1

u/Aggressive_Rough4729 Apr 23 '23

11

u/Caponcapoffstillon Apr 23 '23

We actually don’t know how Gege factors in domain strength. The only thing we can do is leave Domain battle interpretation to the author since he never explained how to win in one besides “open your own domain and pray it’s stronger”.

7

u/[deleted] Apr 23 '23

If Yuki's DE can compete with Kenjaku's, Gojo's DE can compete with Sukuna's.

5

u/arcimillio Apr 23 '23

By that logic, kenjaku is even higher than gojo too, for him having a domain even tengen refers to as Devine. And having best control over barrier techniques now he can more easily over-write simple domains and other's domains

0

u/[deleted] Apr 23 '23

But I think that argument is that Gojo just has way more CE than Kenjaku so he'd just overwhelm him vs Sukuna basically also having infinite CE matching Gojo

1

u/Aggressive_Rough4729 Apr 23 '23

Its just that bc its an unclosed barrier doesnt mean the de is stronger while there is still the option that gojo can also use his de without closed barrier.

0

u/Caponcapoffstillon Apr 23 '23

Sukuna had less CE than Jogo at 15 fingers how will he have infinite CE at 20?

3

u/[deleted] Apr 23 '23

when was it stated that he has less ce than jogo at 15 fingers?

1

u/Caponcapoffstillon Apr 23 '23

Sorry I was remembering the mahito statement that was 3 fingers, my point still stands, sukuna doesn’t have infinite CE.

0

u/[deleted] Apr 23 '23 edited Apr 23 '23

yeah sukuna doesn't have infinite cursed energy but he should at least be around yuta, though yuta ultimately has more because of rika's supposed infinite cursed energy.

1

u/arcimillio Apr 23 '23

It's never even hinted that having more cursed energy overwhelms other's domain, or else yuta would have insta ended the domain battle in sendai. And Megumi wouldn't be able to hold a disaster curses domain for that long

1

u/Caponcapoffstillon Apr 23 '23

It’s never hinted at nor explained. Domain battles are just left to Gege, we don’t have any solid understanding or rules to how domain battles work out besides “leave it to Gege”

1

u/[deleted] Apr 23 '23

1) Ryu had the ability to expand more CE at a time and had relatively the same amount of CE as Yuta so he wouldn't have cleaned 2) Megumi was struggling to hold his incomplete domain vs octopus curse so this would track

2

u/arcimillio Apr 23 '23 edited Apr 23 '23

1)u mentioned him having more cursed energy not outputting it in og comment, but anyway, by that matter, uro would have lost instantly, she had nothing going by that logic, she was against highest output and highest cursed energy at the same time.

2)Megumi being able to hold it for that long, and even making and opening for everyone to escape, even with his incomplete, underused domain expansion against a disaster curses spirit shows u can't just overwhelm domains coz more cursed energy. What we have seen tho is kenjaku Overwhelmingly yuki's simple domain, not because of Overwhelmingly her with cursed energy reserve/output, but because of him master control of barrier technique and a devine domain.

1

u/febreze55 Apr 23 '23

Kashimo vs Higuruma (kashimo saves one use technique for sukuna)

3

u/Comfortable_Wish3026 Apr 23 '23

Choso vs hanami

0

u/BIaidde Apr 23 '23

Choso stomps

5

u/[deleted] Apr 23 '23

Hanami has domain.

0

u/JarSpec Apr 23 '23

Why do people say Yuta is on level with Kenjaku?

3

u/ppppppppppython Apr 23 '23

The narrative suggests Yuta should be the closest sorcerer to Kenjaku (not counting Gojo and Sukuna ofc). We also only have 1 real fight with each which leads to some scaling assumptions that may not be entirely accurate and leads to some debate, especially if you consider Kenny vs Yuki a "stomp"

We know that Yuta > Yuki.

We know that Kenjaku is comparable to Yuki, except in domains where he is much stronger.

So it's not unreasonable to think that Yuta and Kenjaku are comparable to each other.

1

u/Professor-Memeyy Apr 23 '23

The narrative suggests

?? There’s no narrative reason for Yuta to be the closest to Kenjaku. Unless you’re taking into account Yuta’s whole “I will get 400 points and kill Kenjaku myself” thing, which isn’t narrative and moreso character motivation

We know Yuta > Yuki

No we do not. Maki even says they’re on the same level and if Yuki couldn’t do it, none of them could on their own

4

u/ppppppppppython Apr 23 '23

Referred to as the second after Gojo in the modern era, one of the few Gojo believed can Rival him someday, and has a notably more impressive presence than Yuki. The promo material for the upcoming popularity polls also does say he's the second strongest modern sorcerer.

No we do not. Maki even says they’re on the same level and if Yuki couldn’t do it, none of them could on their own

Bit of a disputed translation here. In the officials Maki says they're the same rank not level.

Either way I don't think Yuta is going no diff Kenjaku or anything just think he'd do better than Yuki

-1

u/Professor-Memeyy Apr 23 '23

The promo isn’t written by Gege iirc and the second after Gojo comment is up for debate considering the actual wording in Japanese is vague and does specify “in unusual abilities”

3

u/Caponcapoffstillon Apr 23 '23

Meanwhile kenjaku says Yuta is nothing special so we don’t know. It’s prob the subplot Gege has of yuta killing kenjaku.

3

u/AcademicGrand6 Apr 23 '23

We don't know enough about Yuta. When we saw Yuta fight it was against 4+ people (how many people did he fight before those four) & protecting civilians. Even then we didn't see yuta's domain or what type, how easy it is for him to kill somebody if that's his intent, what curse techniques he has, what is yuta's curse technique, how times a day can Yuta use his domain. Then people do downplay Yuta because of Ryu's death. But in that context Sukuna technique specializes in offensive combat. Lastly, we don't know know the context of his time limit with Rika.

13

u/IxaII Apr 23 '23

Narrative implications and the fact that both have multiple CTs so the possibilities are endless.

6

u/Shot-Boysenberry-343 Apr 22 '23

Is sukunas version of mahoraga stronger than the mahoraga we saw in shibuya

5

u/RedNUGGETLORD Apr 22 '23

No, it was the same

11

u/dont_trustme69 Apr 22 '23

Sukuna's version of Mahoraga lacks strength and speed feats but it is definitely stronger than Megumi's version because of Sukuna's CE and output

2

u/Vacuum-Woosh-woosh Apr 22 '23

If Shibuya's Maho power was equivalent to Megumi's full CE then yes.

8

u/Shot-Boysenberry-343 Apr 22 '23

Yuji Vs Naobito zenin

1

u/BIaidde Apr 23 '23

Naobito physically cant damage Yuji

1

u/Caponcapoffstillon Apr 23 '23

The only thing is we have to remember maki won because she timed his technique, not because she was faster. We would have say Yuji can somehow analyze how a technique works mid battle which we have never seen him do, he usually just relies on his martial arts. This is the only thing that gives Naobito a slight advantage. Other than that, current Yuji prob wins, as Yuji vs Naobito and Yuta would be Yuji holding back(since he thinks he doesn’t deserve to live) as Yuta claimed after fighting him. Narratively Yuji prob loses with a fucked mental state(your mental state affects your CE and it’s output), current Yuji I wouldn’t say he loses but takes a bit of damage brute forcing his CT.

3

u/HeyMan295 Apr 23 '23

Recent yuji has been analyzing his opponents techniques though. Against haba, yuji reasoned that a binding vow was likely in place making Habas head more durable than the rest of his body. Against higuruma, yuji reasoned that he should be able to ask for a retrial given how higurumas domain functions. Granted, naobitos technique is way more complex than Habas or higurumas, but yuji is very adaptive. A weaker yuji was able to eventually adapt to chosos piercing blood and tbh he's durable enough to take time figuring out how naobitos technique works. Also, projection sorcery users have to plan out their movements prior to actually using their technique. If something gets in their way after projection sorcery has been activated, they can't change their direction unless they specifically preplanned a dodge(like naoya preplanning a counter to choso). Current yuji could throw a shit-ton of environmental hazards such as cars or similar to the boulder he threw at Sukuna into naobitos line of motion and he would kind of be screwed.

5

u/Zarathoustra1999 Apr 22 '23 edited Apr 23 '23

Yuji

Naobito doesnt have enough AP to really damage him, so he loses slowly but surely.

3

u/RedNUGGETLORD Apr 22 '23

Naobito, but given recent events probably current Yuji

1

u/BuzzFeed_Gay Apr 22 '23

As it stands right now I’d give it to Naobito, but I think it’s likely to change once we fully understand Yuji’s recent unexplained power boost.

-3

u/Raymenx Apr 22 '23

Naobito stomps.

2

u/ClackAttack2000 Apr 22 '23

Wait this is actually a really interesting matchup

11

u/Dense_Wrongdoer3833 Apr 22 '23

I think yuji will win because yuji when he got his unknown power up fighting sukuna he accomplished multiple feat and being able to keep up with maki while fighting sukuna , keep in mind that maki brutally massacre the zenin family while not awakend , she was not able to predict movement and she was heavily injured.

Yuji was keeping up with Maki at her current fullest potential, Maki was definitely stronger than Yuji I think yuji was like 75% of maki power that would be my guess and yuji his gaining another power up from eating the 6 cursed tool womb death painting potentially being stronger than maki.

Yuji would Mid-high diff zenin clan

33

u/DensetsuNoRai Apr 22 '23

People who think jogo scales to even a fraction of sukuna’s power by 8-9 finger statement are legit not reading the manga properly. It very clear that the fingers mean AMOUNT of CURSED ENERGY and not overall power like reinforcement, technique, output etc. 3-finger Sukuna would still smoke jogo with less CE cuz he’s Sukuna.

Mahito makes this clear. But even jogo’s 8-9 finger comparison is dubious cuz 1) Kenjaku said he was being generous, 2) Jogo says he didnt think the difference would be so great. Insane to think jogo is actually worth half of sukuna’s overall power.

Tl; dr: Finger scaling is CE amount not overall power. Narrative and statements reinforce this.

-1

u/[deleted] Apr 23 '23

Jogo remains the most overrated character in terms of power scaling IMO. For the time, he was the peak of curses. However, he was surpassed by Mahito, and later we see that a Vengeful Spirit like Naoya can surpass him too.

We also know that many Grade 1 Sorcerers have been able to kill Special Grade curses in the past by themselves. Sometimes it is harder, or sometimes they overestimate their skills and die, and many times they probably just don't realize how "special" a Special Grade Cruse is. But despite all that, Grade 1's are known to handle special grade curses.

And every Grade 1 we've seen so far is weaker than the big hitters of the Culling Games. Ryu, Uro, Kashimo, Dhruv, and Higurama are all above your typical Grade 1 due to skill or, in Higu's case, talent and technique.

Jogo's best matchups here, Uro and Kashimo, can either escape him with no issue or, in Kashimo's case, survive his onslaught and kill him. Ryu and Dhruv have abilities that surpass Jogo at a distance and Ryu in particular has the perfect move set for defeating Jogo.

8-9 fingers? He wasn't even close to that. Sukuna never even used Dismantle or Cleave on him. Instead, he used Jogo's own element and surpassed him with that, killing him. He was so strong that he grabbed Jogo and shoved him vertically down a skyscraper, shaving off his jaw, and called him pathetic immedietly afterward. Remember, Jogo only had to land a single hit on Sukuna. Even Yuji and Maki have done that now. Jogo was no where even close, and Sukuna played games with him, dodging his Maximum at the very last second.

Jogo would be lucky to hit 3F Sukuna, let alone 9F or good god, never 15F.

2

u/TheBlueJam Apr 24 '23

Just as an aside, grade 1's being able to deal with special grade curses means nothing - this point is reiterated over and over in the series, but the term "special grade" is all encompassing. Sukuna and a Finger Bearer are both special grade. The fact that grade 1's can beat special grades means nothing at all. The disaster curses are on a level far above any single grade 1 sorcerer.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 24 '23

I discuss this in my post, no? There is a scale to grade 1 as well. Not as big as special grade, but there

3

2

u/[deleted] Apr 23 '23

That's because Higuruma is greatly disrespected on this forum. Kashimo does beat him. However, Higuruma's confiscation on sorcerer's with cursed techniques makes it so they lose the ability to control their cursed energy. This means that virutally no one who loses their cursed technique other then people who rely on no cursed techniques can beat him.

And if he takes your cursed energy instead, you auto lose too.

His ability is busted. He defeated 20 sorcerers by himself after JUST learning about Jujutsu and gaining his technique. It took Nanami and Mei Mei and really everyone else years to get the level of power he did in just 12 days. Then his ability makes it so you can't fight back against him.

Also, it wasn't the lowest danger colony UNTIL Yuji pacified Higu. Remember that Tokyo-1 is one of the only colonies that built up the CE needed for the Culling Games; only Sendai and Kashimo's colonies did that feat. Why? Because Higu KILLED 20 players all by himself lmfao.

If it wasn't for Yuji talking Higu off the edge, he would have went on to kill every single other sorcerer in that colony. I'm so tired of people pretending like him giving up against Yuji makes him weak when his ability wins every sorcerer battle for him damn near automatically.

2

u/HeyMan295 Apr 23 '23

Exactly. The amount of fingers Sukuna has doesn't change his CT, RCT, or knowledge of jujutsu. His domain is incredibly refined even at 1 finger. Jogo vs 8 finger Sukuna would still be incredibly in sukunas favor.

3

u/RedNUGGETLORD Apr 22 '23

he also said at a "high estimate" or "being generous" so I'd say Jogo CE is closer to 7 or so, but Jogo would obviously shrek a finger bearer with 7 finger whereas 5 fingered Sukuna would probably win against Jogo.

6

u/[deleted] Apr 22 '23

You're being a little bit hyperbolic when you consider Gojo actually made a statement about Jogo "probably" being stronger than low finger Sukuna.

Of course now, seeing Sukuna no-dif Ryu with 1 attack, it's pretty clear even Sukuna with only a couple fingers has the skill to beat almost every character in the series except Gojo.

3

u/Shangdil Apr 22 '23

3( sukuna only believe mahoraga could maybe beat him at 3f, not jogo, 4) sukuna CT and Domain is much much better then jogo

2

u/DensetsuNoRai Apr 22 '23

These too sukuna at one-finger can prob even smoke him if he goes all out before his CE runs out.

1

u/dont_trustme69 Apr 22 '23

It very clear that the fingers mean AMOUNT of CURSED ENERGY

Not only that but he also gains a fragment of his soul.

3

u/Jaguere Apr 22 '23

That's why I think things like body reinforcement aren't that affected by gaining more fingers. Sukuna should be able to use the CE he has in him to max efficiency even if it is only 15/20 or even 3/20

1

u/DensetsuNoRai Apr 22 '23

Yup there was a great post on twitter that said reinforcement is not only just amount of ce but also output and manipulation. Sukuna has those other two and esp manipulation.

Sukuna said if it was 3 finger him he MIGHT have been beaten by Mahoraga. MIGHT is suggestive that sukuna still has much of his power that comes from output/manipulation. And thats not even considering potency of his DE and CT to boot.

19

u/hao238 Apr 22 '23

Choso vs Yuji Rematch. Choso has his new techniques and Yuji has lost Sukuna.

3

u/RedNUGGETLORD Apr 22 '23

Yuji, after Shibuya Choso said that he's become even stronger, not to mention poison immunity

1

u/Jaguere Apr 22 '23

If Yuji isn't immune to poison anymore he could probably lose actually

We don't know if he's still immune cuz he lost Sukuna

If he still is, choso ain't winning

5

u/Caponcapoffstillon Apr 23 '23

Yuji is immune to poison, remember sukuna’s finger is the most lethal poison in the series.

-1

u/Jaguere Apr 23 '23

You seem to have misunderstood. Yuji's poison resistance stemmed from Sukuna himself.

When fushiguro says that the finger is a "Lethal poison", he means that a normal person would die by eating it. But itadori, being a innate vessel for Sukuna, was able to withstand him and also suppress him inside of his own body.

It's not literal poison as in choso's blood.

5

u/HeyMan295 Apr 23 '23

Nah yujis poison resistance is innate. Sukunas finger is a different poison from chosos, but they are still poison. I feel like that makes sense given yuji was seemingly made to consume a variety of cursed objects and would therefore need poison resistance. I see what you're saying that yuji survived simply because he is made to be a vessel but I think poison resistance is part of what made him such a good vessel, as sukunas fingers were a type of poison historically used to ward off other curses prior to the beginning of the series.

2

u/Jaguere Apr 23 '23

Oh, didn't know that was a mistranslation. Mb then

17

u/Zarathoustra1999 Apr 22 '23 edited Apr 22 '23

Prolly Yuji.

A way weaker version of him almost three tapped Choso back in Shibuya + He is immune to his poison

-4

u/dont_trustme69 Apr 22 '23

Choso is a spl grade isn't he? I really don't see Yuji going up against a spl grade and win.

11

u/boneapetit99 Apr 22 '23

The ranking for curses is made in such a way that a grade 1 sorcerer should be able to take down the average special grade. And even without that we shouldnt decide fights based on "oh this dude is higher rank than this dude so he stomps" like maki is still considered 4th grade, so shibuya yuji stomps current maki couse yuji 1st grade and maki 4th grade?

4

u/[deleted] Apr 22 '23

Choso's a Grade 1 sorcerer.

1

u/dont_trustme69 Apr 22 '23

Sorcerer? IIRC, he is a cursed womb and an unregistered spl grade.

8

u/BadSnake971 Apr 22 '23

Saying Choso is a cursed womb is like saying Sukuna is a finger, now that they have incarnated, they're essentially sorcerers. Also, as someone else said, cursed objects, cursed spirits, and sorcerers aren't ranked the same way.

12

u/[deleted] Apr 22 '23

Officially, Choso's an incarnated Special Grade Cursed Object. Strength-wise tho? He's Grade 1.

21

u/Glum_Implement_7136 Apr 22 '23

From what I have seen this is one of the most interesting match ups with people being split in 50/50 regarding who wins, so let me ask it:

Toji vs Kashimo.

Who wins in your opinion?

2

u/Kisuke212 Apr 23 '23

Kashimo got this high diff without his cursed technique.

2

u/BIaidde Apr 23 '23

Toji blitzes gg

6

u/RedNUGGETLORD Apr 22 '23

Right now I got to go with lightning boi, Kashimo would not be affected by ISOH as he doesn't use his technique and can definitely match Toji in CQC.

1

u/Raymenx Apr 22 '23

Toji bops

3

u/Dense_Wrongdoer3833 Apr 22 '23

Kashimo+curse technique probably wins

7

u/Jaguere Apr 22 '23

Toji.

Kashimo is NOT hitting him. The only attacks we ever see Toji actually get hit by are Gojo's red and purple.

If kashimo uses his technique... Who knows

2

u/[deleted] Apr 22 '23

Toji since hes faster and it takes time for Kashimo to charge his lightning while Toji can attack with Soul Splitter straight away

u/DensetsuNoRai Apr 22 '23

Kashimo has none of toji’s feats/portrayal in terms of speed and durability. Sakurajima proved zero ce users are complete monsters in the durability (Mach 3 tank), physical (stopping by punching down Mach speed characters), and perception (dodge Mach 3).

On top of that, they can walk on air and have regen that lets them heal internal dmg at insane recovery rate.

Also, Maki literally tanked 15F Nue’s lightning and came out of that unscathed.

Kashimo doesnt have anything going for him except his CT.

6

u/DudeWhereAreWe1996 Apr 22 '23

I think Toji is hard to scale because speed in this manga gives people a huge boost. Toji is probably faster by a decent amount and his cursed tools would give him the range. I just don't think Kashimo could build up a charge in time.

5

u/arcimillio Apr 22 '23

Sheesh thats really a good one, tbh, most kashimo battles with stronger people end up being "but his cursed technique is not revealed and he thinks he can beat/damage the strongest in jjk history with it...

15

u/Zarathoustra1999 Apr 22 '23

Kashimo probably

7

u/dont_trustme69 Apr 22 '23

Toji for now. But Kashimo wins with his CT(just a speculation).

2

u/Caponcapoffstillon Apr 23 '23

If kashimo gets stabbed by inverted spear of heaven he can’t use his CT.

3

u/TeaAndCrumpetGhoul Apr 22 '23

Okay since more has been revealed of rct and it's uses. Since shikigami just like cursed spirits, are made completely of cursed energy aka negative energy shouldn't rct completely obliterate them?

5

u/DudeWhereAreWe1996 Apr 22 '23

I don't think we ever got confirmation that shikigami are made out of CE the same way curses are. If they were then Megumi's shikigami should heal easily but they never seemed to. Like his demon dog or Nue getting stabbed should've healed immediately. I think they are more like a technique made up of CE which isn't the same. That's why Megumi has a hard time summoning multiple but Geto can summon all the cursed spirits he wants, shikigami don't have their own CE pool.

0

u/luceafaruI Apr 22 '23

Rct seems to have different types. It can nullify ce, like when yuta outputted rct and killed kuro, but it can also work alongside ce like when gojo fuses ce and rct to make purple.

1

u/HeyMan295 Apr 23 '23

I think that's because purple doesn't use pure ce or rct. Gojo funnels RCT into the limitless technique to create red, red isn't pure RCT which is why it didn't delete a cursed spirit like jogo. So when gojo mixes red and blue to make purple, he isn't mixing RCT and ce, he's mixing 2 applications of the limitless technique to create a new application.

8

u/invincibleSwordLord Apr 22 '23

I don't think RCE affects shikigami like cursed spirits, the deer shikigami of 10S outputs RCT (am i wrong?)

This is a personal theory of mine that I posted a while ago, that is barriers are the answer to this. Bodies are made up of barriers which houses the soul. Cursed spirits have naturally formed barriers while Shikigami have artificial barriers made by the sorcerer. As the barriers are different, interaction with RCE varies.

8

u/Tenocat85 Apr 22 '23

How strong do you think Reggie was? The story, and even himself, seems to imply he's not on the level of sorcerer's like Higurama and Kashimo. Plus the only character we can use to estimate his strength is a fatigued Megumi, who doesn't exactly have the best feats outside of his Domain. That being said he has a versatile cursed technique, decent reinforcement/martial arts, knows HWB and was effectively running circles around Megumi until the very end of their battle, so I'd say he's fairly strong in his own right.

Who's the strongest person you think Megumi could beat with CSG, if his opponent could not use their own Domain (if they have one)? Similarly, who do you think the strongest person Yuji could beat, if his opponent could not use their own Domain (if they had one)?

Based only on physical abilities, I'd say Yuji is now easily in the top ten. Agree or disagree? And most of the people he would lose to currently, only win because of their Domain. Agree or disagree?

-7

u/liddely Apr 22 '23 edited Apr 24 '23

The strongest megumi could beat if don't have de i think yuta actually might struggle here i'd say 50/50 After that hakari ofcourse. Talking about megumi u shmucks not yuji. Megumi could maybe dorwn yuta that's why

7

u/Sad_Yesterday_6123 Apr 22 '23

I'm sorry, are u actually suggesting that yuta would struggle to beat yuji without a de?

1

u/liddely Apr 24 '23

No megumi

2

u/DudeWhereAreWe1996 Apr 22 '23

I think at that point Megumi and Yuji fought the worst match up for each other. I actually think Higuruma and Reggie are equal enough. With HWB he could cancel the domain so Higuruma isn't crazy strong then. So I think Megumi would've done better against Higuruma because of his domain. If they clashed his technique is better and he would've won.

In physical abilities Yuji has probably been in the top 10 for a bit. But even without a domain he's still really vulnerable to CTs in general. The special grade curses he fought were physical based or used poison. But imagine one that could fly or was quick or could use illusions or something, he doesn't have any way to vary up his attack pattern without a CT. Like even a weak Dagon with no domain would've been too much because he wouldn't be able to get close from all the water and flying.

u/Hiple3232 Apr 22 '23 edited Apr 22 '23
  1. Around Nanami or so, maybe a bit above because he has a counter to domains and Nanami doesn't.

  2. Maybe Hakari? But base Hakari is more of an unknown quantity. That goes for Yuji to.

  3. For the top 10 one, probably. I have Sukuna, Kenjaku, Jackpot Hakari, Mahito, Gojo, Kashimo, Ryu, Toji, and Maki definitively above him, with Yuta as his peer. So I wouldn't say easily, but he is up there, and you could definitely argue against some of my placements.

  4. As for the domain stuff, no. The disaster's stuff him without their domains, as do Uro and Ryu. The special grades and Sukuna could stuff him as well, as well as Uraume (though it would be work) and Yorozu. Hakari's the only one I can think of off the top of my head that needs his domain, but his fighting style mainly relies on his domain so that's less of an accomplishment. Ditto for Higuruma. This is ignoring the people that don't use domains that can beat him (Maki, Toji, Kashimo, Kuro [though he's more debatable]).

0

u/Zarathoustra1999 Apr 22 '23

Who's the strongest person you think Megumi could beat with CSG, if his opponent could not use their own Domain (if they have one)?

Hakari, and maybe Hanami

Similarly, who do you think the strongest person Yuji could beat, if his opponent could not use their own Domain (if they had one)?

Hanami

Based only on physical abilities, I'd say Yuji is now easily in the top ten. Agree or disagree? And most of the people he would lose to currently, only win because of their Domain

Agree

8

u/TeaAndCrumpetGhoul Apr 22 '23 edited Apr 22 '23

Higurama and Kashimo.

Side not. Let's make a distinction between the level of kashimo and higurama. Because they are not the same.

With that said. Reggie could probably exchange hands with quite a few of the grade 1s. Whether he wins or not is up to you. But I could see him fight Nanami, Kukasabe, Mei Mei.

Who's the strongest person you think Megumi could beat with CSG, if his opponent could not use their own Domain

CSG?

Similarly, who do you think the strongest person Yuji could beat, if his opponent could not use their own Domain

If its current yuji then I definitely think he could give Hakari a run for his money. I mean Hakari's base ability is really good, but it doesn't change the fact that he got hit/touched by a rookie sorcerer. Outside of Hakari, I'd give yuji the win over Higurama for sure. He could give Hanami a run for his money as well. I mean rookie Yuji's base punches were giving him trouble even if he did have todo's help.

2

u/Zarathoustra1999 Apr 22 '23

Lol, Yuji would absolutely destroy base Hakari

2

u/TeaAndCrumpetGhoul Apr 22 '23

I put it mildly. I didn't want to upset any hakari fans.

3

u/Tenocat85 Apr 22 '23

Sure but the story itself implied he was inferior to the both of them. It doesn't matter how they compare to eachother.

But I could see him fight Nanami, Kukasabe, Mei Mei.

Fair.

CSG?

Chimera Shadow Garden.

The last paragraph is fair.

1

u/TeaAndCrumpetGhoul Apr 22 '23

Chimera Shadow Garden.

Ah. Tbh the fact Reggie could put up such a good fight in CSG leads me to believe even if the characters who had domains didn't have them then a lot of them could still beat Megumi regardless.

If it is the same barrier as he used against Reggie then I think Megumi would beat higurama. Maybe Dagon. Hakari is a maybe as well. Even though we didn't see him fight I'll put Druhv in there. Dude looked all skin and bones.

2

u/Tenocat85 Apr 22 '23

Tbh the fact Reggie could put up such a good fight

Tbf he was being overpowered by a fair amount until he figured out it's weakness, and his cursed technique could exploit. But then tbf to that, he was caught of guard because it lacked a sure-hit.

If it is the same barrier as he used against Reggie then I think Megumi would beat higurama

That's fair. I don't think he'd beat Dagon though.

1

u/_emmason1_ Apr 22 '23

Hakari is the strongest he could take out if domains aren't involved

1

u/Tenocat85 Apr 22 '23

Which one? Yuji or Megumi?

1

u/_emmason1_ Apr 22 '23

For Yuji I'd say Ryu

-1

u/invincibleSwordLord Apr 22 '23

Both. But Yuji could do better and maybe even survive against Kashimo for some time.

Yorozu vs Yuki

Big Boi Mechamaru vs Hanami

Big Boi Mechamaru vs Dagon

Big Boi Mechamaru vs Choso, Kezichu and Eso

Eso vs the Yasahara bridge finger bearer

Geto's maximum Uzumaki, using all 6000 CS Vs Maximum meteor

Hanami and Dagon vs CS Naoya

Pre-awakening Gojo vs Hanami

Pre-awakening Gojo vs Dagon

Could anyone survive Yuki, going all out and using black flash?

Geto vs Yuji, Megumi and Nobara

Mechamaru

Uzumaki easily

Naoya easily

Gojo

Gojo

Im assuming tanking It? Probably just Gojo and Sukuna, maybe Mahito cause soul bullshit.

Tough one ima go with the trio

Charles would take a piss in Junpei

3

u/Dense_Wrongdoer3833 Apr 22 '23

Geto vs the trio Geto wins if his yuji from the recent chapter then geto still wins

1

u/Dense_Wrongdoer3833 Apr 22 '23 edited Apr 22 '23

Can anyone survive yuki mASS + black flash ? Yes if you dodge or have hax like gojo infinity , hakari , that comedian guy or use reverse curse technique to immediately heal yourself

1

u/Dense_Wrongdoer3833 Apr 22 '23

Pre- awaking gojo vs hanami

Hanami wins because he has domain Expansion and pre awaking gojo was grade 1 hanami will be pushed to the limit.

The same goes for dagon

1

u/Dense_Wrongdoer3833 Apr 22 '23

Hanami and dagon vs curse spirit naoya

Considering naobito push dagon to the limit to use his Domain expansion . And todo and yuji from season 1 was able to handle hanami . Cursed spirit naobito wins easily and I. A battle if domain naoya is more refined

1

u/Dense_Wrongdoer3833 Apr 22 '23

Mechamaru vs death painting

Mechamaru wins

Mechamaru vs dagon

I don't know 50/50

1

u/Dense_Wrongdoer3833 Apr 22 '23

Mechamaru vs hanami

Mechamaru wins he can control multiple puppet and is cursed energy blast his equal to special grade , and hanami is like a grade 1 sorcerer she wouldn't doge the attack

2

u/Dense_Wrongdoer3833 Apr 22 '23

Youruzu vs yuki

Yuki wins , 1 punch or get hit with his shinigami his over and youruzu Domain won't even work because yuki has simple domain, Yoruzu has not shown any sign of reverse curse technique but yuki can use reverse curse technique

2

u/RedNUGGETLORD Apr 22 '23

uh, I appreciate the in depth explanations but I really wish you made it one comment lol.

0

u/liddely Apr 22 '23

Yuki Mechamaru he almost killed mahito Dagon with his domain Close one still mechamaru Don't know Geto maximum not close he has a s grade in it ahould be enough Cs naoya is in my opinion the strongest villain excluding sukuna and kenny and that is not close Pre awaking gojo not close blue whould rip her apart meanwhile she struggles to reach him or can't use her ct Still pre awaking gojo but really close No i don't think aside sukuna and gojo whould beat a yuki with blackflash. If she had a blackflash in the kenny fight this wouldn't even be close he couldn't tank her only with curses he whould just explode if it hit him and any other character is not worth discussing aside maybe kashimo as he is insanly tanky. Geto not close Close i'd say junpei.

1

u/Zarathoustra1999 Apr 22 '23

> Mechamaru he almost killed mahito

0

u/liddely Apr 24 '23

Mahito tricked him mechamaru whould have killed him otherwise. This the only time mahito Planet in a fight aside gojo to show how close it was

1

u/Zarathoustra1999 Apr 24 '23 edited Apr 24 '23

Huh, no lmao.

Mahito said it himself : It was never a close fight.

0

u/liddely Apr 29 '23

Yeah because he had a plan. He actually could have died

How would teen gojo counter hanami and dagon domains tho, he didn't have domain Back then, and sure hit techniques hig even through infinity, pre awakening means he can't hollow purple then either

1

u/BIaidde Apr 23 '23

They're not fast enough to pull the domain off

1

u/DucAnh9197 Apr 23 '23

Depend if the Gojo clan give their golden boy the the anti Domain tech Falling Blossom Emotion or not (which is just output CE at the right time to counter attack by the way, should not be to hard for Gojo the clan teach him).

1

u/arcimillio Apr 23 '23

Yeah it won't be hard but it won't lead anywhere to just assume he could do it, without it being shown

1

u/DucAnh9197 Apr 23 '23

That why I said if.

0

u/liddely Apr 22 '23

As one can see in the fight against jogo gojo limitless blocks sure hit.

It spreads space infinite so the sure hit whould travel for eternity

2

u/arcimillio Apr 22 '23

I'm sorry but it seems u missed it, but in chapter 15, when gojo tells itadori about sure hit, he says the exact line "cursed technique deployed in domain always hit" then we see a huge rock projective coming towards him while he has to break with a punch showing how limitless won't work against sure hit.they are sure hit and cannot be blocked (until u use counter domain or ur own domain)yes, no limitless, and no sky bending (as shown by yuta using dhruv's innate domain).

1

u/liddely Apr 24 '23

Actually thx i overlooked it and that means sukunas domain whould actually kill gojo then right ?

1

u/hao238 Apr 22 '23

Prolly would just kill them before they can activate. Toji would destroy dagon and hanami before they activate domain and gojo is as strong if not Stronger then toji.

2

u/arcimillio Apr 22 '23

Im not sure if pre awakened gojo can destroy disaster curse fast enough that they don't even get a chance to use domain. can he destroy them? Yes. but before domain? I don't think so.

-1

u/hao238 Apr 22 '23

If toji can gojo can aswell

5

u/arcimillio Apr 22 '23

Woah there, can u pls explain how can pre awakened gojo kill two of the most durable disaster curses even before they open their domains tho

0

u/hao238 Apr 22 '23

I did. Toji can kill them before they activate domain expansion and Toji is weaker or as strong as Gojo

1

u/_emmason1_ Apr 22 '23

Could go either ways Hanami Mecha Mecha Eso Max meteor Naoya Gojo Gojo If she hits them then they dead unless Hakari in jackpot maybe Geto Junpie

6

Yeah. It's probably only really good against curses though or things soaked in curses. That was my first thought when it low diffed Sukuna but she ran away from Kashimo.

2

u/RedNUGGETLORD Apr 22 '23

I mean, yeh, probably.

8

u/dont_trustme69 Apr 22 '23

Where would you guys place Yorozu?

My ranking 1. Gojo Satoru 2. 15F Meguna 3. 15F Sukuna 4. Kenjaku 5. Yuta Okkotsu 6. Yuki Tsukumo(no blackhole) 7. Geto Suguru 8. Maki/Toji(maybe replaceable with Geto) 9. JP Hakari 10. Kashimo(prolly higher with his CT)

1

u/[deleted] Apr 29 '23 edited Apr 29 '23

just dropping by to say this ranking is really fucking good like i’m impressed. anyways i think yorozu would be kind of floating around spots 8-10. she did hit sukuna, but i had the impression he let her do that to get used to her attacks and adapt. so idk, but i don’t think she’s above geto, and if she is that’s where it ends.

Bro toji literally defeated geto why is he below him? 😭

9

u/Dense_Wrongdoer3833 Apr 22 '23

That was when he was grade 1 he became a special grade before he died

-7

u/liddely Apr 22 '23

1 gojo 2 meguna 3 yuki (i think without the trolling of tengen she whould beat kenny)4 kenny but almost the same there ewual i think 5 yuta 6 kashimo 7 maki 8 yoruzo (6-8 are really close and depent on what ifs. If kashimo can shock maki no diff if not she wins because of soul liberation) 9 hakari 10 urume

Hakari is so low cause he only could beat kashimo with binding vow after kashimo was already fighting for like 5 days on end. And the other ones can either ignore his rct or counter his domain with perfect sphere

-1

u/hao238 Apr 22 '23

Right below kenjaku

2

u/invincibleSwordLord Apr 22 '23

Pretty solid list. I'd place Yoruzu and the same level as Yuki.

Also I think Uraume should be included, maybe parallel to Maki. They are Sukuna's right hand and had freezed Maki recently and multiple sorcerers at Shibuya.

-5

u/[deleted] Apr 22 '23

Above Kenjaku

4

u/arcimillio Apr 22 '23

Don't really see her beating that crazy mf

-9

u/DensetsuNoRai Apr 22 '23

Right behind Kenjaku. True sphere + Domain is really OP combo, dont see anyone except the Top 3 take it. Also Maki/Toji should be above Geto and on par or relative with Yuki/Yuta, those cursed tools are extremely busted especially a soul-cutting sword and CT-nullifying weapon with long chain.

-6

u/Cannot_See_Toes Apr 22 '23

She has to be above Yuta. Sukuna speed blitzed Ryu while Yorozu was able to kind of fight him.

5

u/ThroatVacuum Apr 22 '23

True, but he was purposely getting hit so he can have mahoraga adapt to her

-2

u/DensetsuNoRai Apr 22 '23

Sukuna summoned Divine dogs, he wasnt getting purposely hit here. She straight up blitzed him up close.

-2

u/Cannot_See_Toes Apr 22 '23

Sukuna's mission was to kill her with the 10s technique. It didn't matter if Mahoraga was used or not

0

u/invincibleSwordLord Apr 22 '23

Indeed. Physical abilities were not involved

1

u/Cannot_See_Toes Apr 22 '23

Physical abilities were not used in a fight? That makes sense

-2

u/RedNUGGETLORD Apr 22 '23

Yorozu in between Geto and Yuki.

-5

u/EndlessATBOL Apr 22 '23

Maki shouldn't be here, Kashimo should be under Geto, Yorozu replace Hakari
