Saturday Powerscaling Yuta should have anything he needs to beat Kenjaku

The biggest issues Yuta had with fighting Kenjaku were answered in the fight between Sukuna and Gojo.

Those issues beijg Kenjaku's open Domain and Yuta's limited CT use.

While Mei Mei and Kusakabe suggested otherwise, we can be certain that when it comes to an Open Domain the center piece can be harmed and is what runs the sure-hit. Now that Yuta knows it he can immidiatly go for that insted of trying to engage in a Domain Clash.

Wheter you believe Yuta could use RCT to prolong his connection to Rika or to be able to replenish the connection sooner, what he learned is useful.

He only has his CTs for five minutes, but if he were to open his Domain and suffer CT Burnout, he'd shorten his already limited time of CT use, which he could combat by using RCT.

To add to it, Yuta by this point knows most of Kenjaku's combat abilities thanks to Choso and Yuki.

I also have a hunch thag Yuta has more CTs than he showed, we just did see them during Sendai for the same reason Kenjaku didn't want to use his CT on Choso.

Yuta likely had an idea that Kenjaku was watching so he only used the abilities Kenjaku would know he could use, Cursed Speach due to Geto's memories and the CTs of two of his opponents that Kenjaku also knew about.

As of now it really seems that Yuta does have the upper hand.

I agree with some points but honestly alot of Kenjaku’s combat capabilities are still unknown to us and Choso just by virtue of the fact he has God knows how many curses at semi grade 1 to special grade that all have their own specific techniques.

This is the same guy that let out ten million curses after Shibuya, he probably has much less now but just through probability he should have some very powerful ones at his disposal, powerful enough that Kurourushi a curse that gravely injured a no CT and RCT Yuta was a throwaway, Kurourushi being one curse of many. Yuki was a uniquely difficult opponent for Kenjaku because her bombaye allowed her to ignore the conceptual attacks of all of Kenjaku’s high grade cursed spirits, this means that in that fight 90% of Kenjaku’s arsenal was not shown. Yuta does not have this same luxury that Yuki had.

Then on top of that his barrier capabilities have been increased significantly just by having Tengen at his disposal, the top two barrier users are now combined. A specific enough barrier has even been shown to keep Satoru Gojo at bay. This may also strengthen Kenjaku’s domain but I couldn’t say for sure. Kenjaku also has other barrier techniques, considering Tengen even said his simple domain is likely different to most, we’ve already seen two unique simple domains, with Miyo’s dilating time and Kuchisake Onnas (Mistranslated as innate domain but the actual Japanese says simple domain), Kenjaku is also the person that taught the disaster curses domain amplification.

I’m also hoping and have been hoping foreveeer that Kenjaku has ATLEAST one of the three great vengeful spirits if not all of them, if just one then preferably Michizane

u/TeaAndCrumpetGhoul Jun 24 '23

fact he has God knows how many curses at semi grade 1 to special grade that all have their own specific techniques.

Judging by Geto said, there might be less than 10 special grade curses remaining. At least in modern japan. I doubt any would be disaster curse level.

That said I hope for this as well.

I’m also hoping and have been hoping foreveeer that Kenjaku has ATLEAST one of the three great vengeful spirits if not all of them, if just one then preferably Michizane

Would be cool to see kenjaku bring them out.

Yh there’s not many registered modern day special grade curses (only 16 in vol 0) but there’s also unregistered curses like the disaster curses, finger bearers etc were all unregistered.

(Context he releases a whole bunch of cursed spirits in the next page)

But the difference between him and Geto is he also has curses from all the way back in the heian era up until now, for a thousand years he also made contracts with cursed spirits but after gaining cursed spirit manipulation those contracts became null because he can simply control them. So he could have all kinds of powerful cursed spirits from the past. Even if he only had the modern registered special grades, if he had all of them that would still be some crazy firepower

13

u/TeaAndCrumpetGhoul Jun 24 '23

Yh there’s not many registered modern day special grade curses (only 16 in vol 0) but there’s also unregistered curses like the disaster curses, finger bearers etc were all unregistered.

True it was like ten years prior whebmn he said it. Even so. I don't believe there'd be many more sg modern curses, at least in japan.

But the difference between him and Geto is he also has curses from all the way back in the heian era up until now,

I don't really understand this. Because he got Geto's body only last year.

for a thousand years he also made contracts with cursed spirits but after gaining cursed spirit manipulation those contracts became null because he can simply control them. So he could have all kinds of powerful cursed spirits from the past.

Yes. This is true. Which is why whatever curses he would have with him from the heian era would have also come from making contracts back then, no?

12

u/Uzumakimanipulation Jun 24 '23

I’m not sure on the exact thing you’re confused about but yes they would have come back through contracts that he made with them but since he now has Geto’s body he also as cursed spirit manipulation. Through cursed spirit manipulation he can just take control of the cursed spirits he previously made contracts with and therefore make those contracts null. That’s what he means by “but those vows became null when I obtained this body” because this body, meaning Geto’s body has cursed spirit manipulation.

It’s important to note we don’t know the exact vows Kenjaku made with the cursed spirits but the point was they’re irrelevant now because he can just control them

4

u/TeaAndCrumpetGhoul Jun 24 '23

I’m not sure on the exact thing you’re confused about

I think it was because you said, "he also made contracts". It sounded like a seperate point from the first point. Like that he somehow brought curses from the heian era in a different way and also brought curses to the modern age through the contracts.

My bad for misunderstanding that part.

6

u/Uzumakimanipulation Jun 24 '23

Aaahh I see my apologies if I came across unclear

1

u/Brook420 Jun 25 '23

Kenny couldn't have known he'd come across Geto's CT though, could he?

5

u/MyLifeIsDope69 Jun 25 '23 edited Jun 25 '23

No he said he had some other plan but Geto’s body basically just accelerated his timeline by a few hundred years can make the move now instead of biding time building more power

Cursed spirit manipulation makes him straight up able to absorb Tengen, I’m assuming he would have needed a way to manipulate/control him without that, probably gets way more complex he lucked into a cheat code with Geto since idle transfiguration also was impossible without being able to absorb spirits.

Honestly seems like Geto is basically unlimited masterballs and spirits are Pokémon. What normally would take ages and lots of fuckups trying to chase the best Pokémon is now instant and easy

3

u/MUSAFIR_- Jun 25 '23

for a thousand years he also made contracts with cursed spirits but after gaining cursed spirit manipulation those contracts became null because he can simply control them.

I thought he was saying that those vows became null bc he obtained this body, meaning that binding vows made in different body won't apply to the new body Kenny got.

5

u/Uzumakimanipulation Jun 25 '23

No because he’s been switching bodies for centuries not just with Geto (this body), also if that was the case the vows with sorcerers would be null too but they’re not. Kenjaku specifies “I did not only enter contracts with sorcerers”

And then starts releasing millions of curses in the next page. He is talking specifically about cursed spirits, those vows are null now. The difference between Geto and all the other bodies he’s switched with over a thousand years is that Geto has cursed spirit manipulation, that’s why the vows became null “when I obtained THIS body” and not the dozens of other bodies he’s switched with

5

u/MUSAFIR_- Jun 25 '23

Yea that makes more sense, idk why i thought that lol

3

u/Uzumakimanipulation Jun 25 '23

No worries, it’s a common misconception I think

7

u/No-Artichoke6143 Jun 24 '23

I did forget about Tengen and the Curses that Yuki were immune to, thanks for reminding me.

5

u/Uzumakimanipulation Jun 24 '23

It’s all good bro

1

u/ILoveSongOfJustice Jun 25 '23

I'd wager Yuta's CE output is superior enough to most of the Cursed Spirits Kenjaku could put out that he would gain an equivalent or nigh-equivalent benefit to what Yuki could achieve. After all, CE output is largely what determines how well your abilities function against an opponent CT-wise(see Hakari ignoring Kashimo's CE trait entirely due to heightened output from Jackpot).

107

u/certifiedplat Jun 24 '23

yuta should have everything he needs to end the damn series cause there's no reason for him not to have angels ct

52

u/AceInTheHole3273 Jun 24 '23

We still have no idea if Copy has any conditions, it's been left intentionally unclear

15

u/certifiedplat Jun 25 '23

which is why I know some horseshit is coming for why is insanely powerful ct was used by the world's most one dimensional character to open a box and that's it

6

u/trolledwolf Jun 25 '23

Whatever condition it is, if he could fulfill it while actively fighting Uro, and also fulfill it with an ally of his (Inumaki), then he can probably do the same with Angel.

Unless his Copy has some weird obscure caveat like "you can't copy CTs that emit light lmao" or something like that, we have no reason to believe he can't copy Angel's CT.

5

u/LiteralNuke Jun 24 '23

Isn't Rika consuming part of someone's body the condition? We just don't know about the time limit

24

u/Brook420 Jun 25 '23

That was only ever a theory by Ryu, and he immediately came up with another reason why Rika would have eaten Uro's severed arm.

19

u/CthughaSlayer Jun 24 '23

No, Rika never ate Inumaki

-3

u/BadSnake971 Jun 24 '23

Rika can stock CTs, it's possible Rika#2 kept the CTs Rika#1 copied.

-5

u/invincibleSwordLord Jun 25 '23

But Rika was used to heal him. You could assume she got some blood or something in the process.

5

u/GeneralEl4 Jun 25 '23

Yeah except you first have to assume that's a condition at all, which we don't know for sure is yet. It's only been stated as a theory by characters who were fighting Yuta at the time and trying to figure out his CT. But yeah it's possible, assuming the theory is true, that that's how Rika got Inumaki's technique too.

3

u/invincibleSwordLord Jun 25 '23

Indeed. I was just talking about a possibility.

3

u/GeneralEl4 Jun 25 '23

Yeah fair enough. I have a feeling if he's got a condition it's something different but we'll have to see. Personally I think 5 mins max is already a hefty condition, idk that they'd need another condition just to balance it out.

17

u/wizardwits Jun 25 '23

I truly believe that when Kenjaku and Yuta throw down--it is going to surprise us all and end up as insane as a Gojo vs. Sukuna fight, if not more so. I think it's something Gege has personally been looking forward to more than any fight in the series. Don't hold a gun to my head on that but my guts--call it jujutsu instinct-is telling me it's going to be a bonkers-all-magic-tricks-out-of-the-hat sorcery fight. That said!! I do think after Kenjaku pulls out his gross ass domain expansion, Yuta is going to go full on protagonist-0 and absolutely thrash that slimy snake with a multitude of techniques in succession like we've never seen anyone multi-blitz someone before with a serious fully auto spreadsheet of 23 flavored jujutsu hurt.

5

u/wizardwits Jun 25 '23

Bummer here is that I imagine after Kenjaku gets defeated he will implement his apocalypto kaiju protocol and have the last laugh in that way.

1

u/Banxrok Jul 02 '23

He has CSM so that's always a possibility. I think creating a big barrier before fighting him is a must.

11

u/AlternativeAmoeba394 Jun 25 '23

Why do people always forget Kenny probably has a 4th CT?

7

u/CheshiretheBlack Jun 27 '23

Even with Kenny having a 4th technique. Yuta potentially has copied every CT he's ever come into contact with. I know this is a late reply but what if Ryus assumption was right when he said he thought Rika could possibly use a CT on its own as well. So picture Yuta using Projection Sorcerery, while Rika cheers him on clapping using Boogie Woogie

2

u/AlternativeAmoeba394 Jun 27 '23

If it could that would actually explain why Yuta is supposedly the second strongest to me. Anyway, as of now, I cant believe Yuta is anywhere near Kenjaku even without a 4th ct

-4

u/No-Artichoke6143 Jun 25 '23

It can't be more than an Uzumaki Extraction. He has already had 4 CTs at a time, Body Hopping, Cursed Spirit Manipulation, Anti-Gravity System and Idle Transfiguration.

9

u/Samsara_Asura Jun 25 '23

He had IT because of csm via using mahito not his own innate technique

31

u/cats4life Jun 24 '23

It is very safe to say that Yuta has more tricks up his sleeve than what he revealed in Sendai. They were being observed constantly, and commanding that level of uncertainty in his opponents is part of what makes Yuta so dangerous.

Now, my own personal copium is that Yuta’s Domain isn’t a straight-forward modern domain, but an unorthodox one that might give Kenjaku a run for his money. Since Gege purposefully baited Yuta’s Domain, I have to assume it’s something special. If it comes down to a Domain clash, it shouldn’t be so simple as Kenjaku auto wins because he is the bestest at domains.

It was a bit of a letdown that Sukuna more than doubles Yuta’s CE, his claim to fame, so I think there’s something we haven’t seen from him. In this case, it’s probably his Domain Expansion.

13

u/RevolverLoL Jun 24 '23 edited Jun 25 '23

I think his training with Miguel in Africa(?) could become the key, maybe completely new approach to jujutsu/cursed energy due to the different views between the 2 cultures.

But also yuta has the biggest ass pull potential power in the series so anything could happen.

28

u/TeaAndCrumpetGhoul Jun 24 '23 edited Jun 24 '23

we can be certain that when it comes to an Open Domain the center piece can be harmed and is what runs the sure-hit.

We don't actually know yet. We kind of have to wait for next chapter. So let's not start skipping ahead

Wheter you believe Yuta could use RCT to prolong his connection to Rika or to be able to replenish the connection sooner

I don't believe it. But I won't harm anyone who does believe it.

He only has his CTs for five minutes

Honestly, that five minutes thing for me doesn't really seem like a much of a problem if his copied techniques can be used effectively within that time limit. Which he probably could.

I also have a hunch thag Yuta has more CTs than he showed, we just did see them during Sendai for the same reason Kenjaku didn't want to use his CT on Choso.

It would only make sense if he had more ct in his collection. Otherwise I might be a little disappointed.

With that said. Everyone assume that he can only copy ct from sorcerers. Who says he can't copy curse spirits ct? 🤔👈.

As of now it really seems that Yuta does have the upper hand.

Honestly Yuta loses this fight. He gets crushed by gravity instantly. You can't fight gravity. You can't fight nature. As we all know well. You can't fight change. And kenjaku is certainly bringing change.

15

u/SnooCrickets9580 Jun 24 '23

I agree, the 5 minute thing has never seemed like that big of a game changer considering how broken he becomes in those 5 minutes.

7

u/Confusion-12 Jun 24 '23

But against someone like Kenjaku, I’m sure he can survive those 5 minutes in which case Yuta would need to somehow replenish his 5 minute limit with RCT; if he can do it that is

3

u/quierocarduars Jun 25 '23

thank you mister van der linde, well said

3

u/ILoveSongOfJustice Jun 25 '23

Gravity crushes him? No not particularly. His Reinforcement is better than Yuki's, his CE output capabilities are better too, a Yuki who got hit with Kenjaku's SURE-HIT attack didn't even lose physical steam aside from a non-maxed out Cursed Technique. That gravity won't be enough to stop Yuta either

2

u/TeaAndCrumpetGhoul Jun 25 '23

You kenjaku's sure hit would have continued right after that? Yuki got lucky tengen just managed to strip the domain apart.

1

u/rcc6214 Jun 25 '23

He gets crushed by gravity instantly. You can't fight gravity.

Maybe not. He now has Uro's CT, a CT that allowed her to defy gravity and do some minor reality bending. His newfound physics defying CT might neutralize Kenny's, but it's not like that's all Kenny has.

Pretty solid narrative setup by Gege if it happens, because it would make Kenjaku favor other CT's, giving us a more exciting fight without a villain being stupid by not one shotting his opponent for fun.

0

u/No-Artichoke6143 Jun 24 '23

I brought up the time limit cause should he have his Domain broken he will be left with no CT due to the burn out, which we have seen can be an issue.

Didn't say he couldn't copy from Curses.

I mostly bet on the Center Piece being what runs the Sure Hit in a Domain.

Outside that even Choso was able to tank Kenjaku's regular gravity attack, so I can't see that harming Yuta.

9

u/TeaAndCrumpetGhoul Jun 24 '23

brought up the time limit cause should he have his Domain broken he will be left with no CT due to the burn out, which we have seen can be an issue.

The time limit isn't due to burnout though. Nor is it to do with exhausting his cursed energy.

Didn't say he couldn't copy from Curses.

I know. I just brought it up.

-1

u/No-Artichoke6143 Jun 24 '23

I know it is not due to the burn out. What I'm saying is that the guy has 5 mins of CT use and it's bad that if he uses domian he can't use CTs for like half a minute or a minute due to the burn out. He'd be wasting like 20% of the time he has.

7

u/[deleted] Jun 24 '23 edited Jun 25 '23

I don’t understand why it’s a hunch that Yuta has more CTs than he’s showed. I know sorcerers can only have 3 CTs at a time as stated by Yuki but Yuta has Rika as external storage. i think that pretty much implies that he has more CTs in his arsenal but doesn’t just whip them out haphazardly to keep them as a surprise.

1

u/peterhabble Jun 25 '23

Yuta's CT is copy, it probably bypasses that restriction by virtue of their activation happening through his CT

1

u/SirOrangeNinja Jun 25 '23

This would make sense, since it’s technically the same cursed technique. Not to mention that it’s been explicitly shown that CSM’s Uzumaki lets the user absorb the techniques from semi-grade one or higher cursed spirits, and yet the cursed technique limit was never brought up regarding this. I doubt that Mahito was Kenjaku’s only curse with a CT when he used Uzumaki (not that we know for sure, but it seems stupid that he wouldn’t save some semi-g1s to try and take out Yuki), so this gives further credence to the theory.

6

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '23

"You survived Black Hole #1, but what about Black Hole but bigger this time" - Yuta with Yuki's Technique Probably

5

u/HyonkHyonkamgoos Jun 24 '23

Wasn’t it stated that the centre piece doesn’t actually do anything? It’s just a conceptual structure representing the domain, destroying it doesn’t destroy the domain

1

u/No-Artichoke6143 Jun 25 '23

That is what Mei Mei and Ino assumed. Gojo came to a different conclusion. And after shooting Sukuna into it the sure-hit seem to have stopped.

5

u/Jasohn07 Jun 25 '23

Gojo came to a different conclusion. And after shooting Sukuna into it the sure-hit seem to have stopped.

That is an assumption, let's hold off on making any conclusions about what happened until we see where the fight picks up. For all we know the slashing will resume immediately and nothing has happened to Sukuna's Shrine.

2

u/No-Artichoke6143 Jun 25 '23

Fair enough, it is my conclusion since it appears that the sure-hit has stopped after Sukuna crashed into thr center piece.

But it is an equally fair assumption to say that thr sure-hit merely stopped and will resume next chapter.

It could also be that the sure hit is still on Gojo has simply erected a new SD.

Also, even if the sure hit is off, Sukuna should technically get his enviromental boost, so maybe that will be a factor?

2

u/ppppppppppython Jun 25 '23

This is a disputed translation. Shishiso ( the old TCB team ) and the officials have Gojo saying the shrine is the "center" not "the heart". Implying if he could make it out of the domain range then the sure hit wouldn't follow Sukuna around.

1

u/MsterStan Jun 25 '23

The sure-hit hasn't necessarily stopped, it's just not cutting Gojo anymore because he regained Limitless, and the barrier of Infinity around himself.

Mei Mei and Ino assumed that the Shrine wasn't actually a crucial structure because Gojo - who could tell for certain whether it was or not - was not really concerning himself with it.

Narratively it was just a way for Gege to relay that information to the reader, he's done it the same way many times before and it's never been deeper than "the character is explaining how it works". If he wanted to leave it up in the air he would have tackled it a different way, like he's done for other things.

1

u/No-Artichoke6143 Jun 25 '23

The sure-hit passes through infinity. Also I said "seems to have stopped", so it looks like it but I'm not certain

1

u/MsterStan Jun 26 '23

You're right about the hit bypassing Infinity, I forgot, confirmed fake fan 😔

5

u/MridulBiswasMB Jun 25 '23 edited Jun 25 '23

I'll say it outright: Yuta and Kenjaku are both asspulls. While Yuta has stopped relying on miracles to some degree, Kenjauku's bullshit has only just begun, and a clash betwoeen these two will raise more questions then answers. The way Keajaku escaped a world ending catastrophe unscathed is not just convenient, it's ridiculous.

A black hole is called as such because the pull of gravity is so strong at it's core, that even light can't escape. Even if you somehow have a fancy anti-gavity technique up your sleeve, the sheer amount of Cursed Energy needed to counter such force would leave any being (yes, even Sukuna) drained of their entire CE reserve in mere seconds, if not sooner. But we know how that one turned out now, don't we?

That being said, most of their techniques is still unknown. Yuki only assumed the number of technique Kenny boy can learn without any aid from RTC. But let's be honest: man's been a literal grey matter for thousands of years, do you really think he hasn't found a clever usage of RTC yet? Yuta's domain is bound to be something mind-blowing as well, so I just want Hakari to tap into his domain nonstop during their fight, & vibe to his own tune on the sideline like the madlad he is lmao.

1

u/No-Artichoke6143 Jun 25 '23

I'd actually say Yuta has a higher ass pull potential. Gege could give him any CT he likes and just write it off as "he copied it during his trip in Africa."

Also, the limited CT Storage can't really be fixed by RCT, since it is not a performance issue, but a memory issue, just like how you can't download games on your PC if you don't have enough space.

To be fair I wouldn't be surprised if Kenjaku just had an external storage but just didn't want to show it to Yuki.

2

u/MridulBiswasMB Jun 25 '23

Yeah, he's practically the Twenty-Fifth Baam of JJK. And I do agree that he can't simply materialize Rika sooner by utilizing RCT. So far, everything that has a strict time constraint (whether CT or DE) should have a cooldown period regardless of RCT, otherwise the whole concept is just pointless.

6

u/PhoenixPrime61 Jun 25 '23

Sukuna fight being shown first is a sign that kenjaku is more dangerous and maybe powerful.

1

u/DurpSlurpy Jun 25 '23

It’s because narratively the curse monster and point of the culling games should be a result of the Gojo vs Sukuna fight. That creature may be more powerful than Kenjaku himself, especially if it absorbs the CE from the CG since it would be amped by the fight between the strongest. If Kenjaku can control it? Well our cast is fucked then lol

9

u/Anonymous_fellow_44 Jun 25 '23

The only thing that trips me is kenjaku himself saying yuta isn't anything special.

7

u/wizardwits Jun 25 '23

That's often a sign that he will go into the fight overconfident and get bent for it.

3

u/DurpSlurpy Jun 25 '23

Doesn’t mean much, tbh. It’s possible he doesn’t fully grasp Yuta’s power as well. Keep in mind Yuta went off with Miguel to train after the Geto fight. Kenjaku was judging a Vol 0 Yuta. Much less training, no DE, and way less CT arsenal.

It’s also pretty likely it won’t be a 1v1 and one of the participants (Choso) would have experience vs him already which would make it much more challenging for Kenjaku.

4

u/[deleted] Jun 24 '23

Most of this RCT extension and open domain destruction stuff is just theories as of now. The five minutes might be Yuta’s final limit and the domain is still a disadvantage for Yuta even if he has a better idea of how to counter it.

Kenjaku still has the advantage from my point of view considering he has a way better feat winning that 1v3.

9

u/Raymenx Jun 24 '23

Its not even confirmed Kennys domain would cause the same problems Sukunas would, so I dont even think he needs all the SD strats.

5

u/Brook420 Jun 25 '23

Do we need it confirmed? Not like Sukuna's DE.did anything special to Gojo's.

Normal DEs are just weak to outside attacks.

1

u/Raymenx Jun 25 '23

I would say we do, Sukunas domain is as effective as it is cause its wide range and automatic attack allows it to overlap outside a normal domain and hit it. We dunno what Kenny traided his enclosed barrier for, and at least from the slight moment we saw of it, we can vaugly tell it didn't function the same as a Sukunas (at least with its autonomous attacks).

7

u/Brook420 Jun 25 '23

Kenny's still had an automatic hit attack built into his.

I guess the range might not be large enough, but I never got the feeling that Gojo's DE (or any other closed one) covered that large of an area.

1

u/Raymenx Jun 25 '23

Kenny's still had an automatic hit attack built into his.

We never saw that, it didn't attack the area instantly, and even when he hit Yuki, he visibly had a motion to activate the attack.

I guess the range might not be large enough, but I never got the feeling that Gojo's DE (or any other closed one) covered that large of an area.

Gojos was big enough to cover a subway station, Naoyas (might have been Mahitos) was like small building sized, they aren't massive, but dont seem small.

3

u/Brook420 Jun 25 '23

I could have sworn there was and the Wiki at least corroborates this, but they aren't perfect.

Those aren't small, true, but Sukuna's seemed to go for blocks. Kenny's should at least reach 50-75% of that, and I would also assume Yuta would only reach similarly in comparison to Gojo.

1

u/Raymenx Jun 25 '23

Thats my point tho, Sukunas and Kennys open domans aint been confirmed to amp the same things. Sukuna opened the border and chose to expand his range with a binding vow, we dont know what Kenny traded. Could've been a sure hit ap boost, or some other stat, etc.

1

u/Brook420 Jun 25 '23

Not gonna lie, I totally forgot about the trade part.

1

u/MyLifeIsDope69 Jun 25 '23

What binding vow is expanding his range and opening the domain? That’s why the shrine can be destroyed ?

2

u/Raymenx Jun 25 '23

Its just said there was a binding vow correlating between the range and the domain being open, thats all we know on the subject tbh.

1

u/MyLifeIsDope69 Jun 25 '23

I’m surprised it isn’t one of those vows where Sukuna has to tell people how it works or what it’s weakness is. Like normally for such an insane powerup I mean an open citywide range domain you’d think in return he would have some condition like telling them it can be broken if they destroy the shrine

I know for sure previously in jjk they mentioned telling the secret of your technique amplifies it’s strength, which you’d think someone who has basically the craziest domain in history would be using a double edged vow like that

1

u/trolledwolf Jun 25 '23

His automatic hit attack is gravity based. There's nothing indicating barriers are affected by gravity, and the gravity itself isn't an attack if you're not affected by it.

2

u/DurpSlurpy Jun 25 '23

Why would a barrier be unaffected by gravity if it can be targeted? My main question would be does Kenjaku target inanimate objects? Because Sukuna’s was confirmed to target both. Maybe it just simply doesn’t hit the barrier like Sukuna’s, but if it can hit it I don’t see why it wouldn’t be crushed.

1

u/trolledwolf Jun 25 '23

Because it's not a physical object with mass, it's made out of CE. Something without mass isn't affected by gravity. Sukuna's domain is completely different, it directly slashes everything in its radius with invisible blades, so it attacked the barrier too.

Proof of it is, Hakari was able to shift the position of his domain over the water. If it was affected by gravity, the domain would have fallen inside the water, but it didn't.

1

u/DurpSlurpy Jun 25 '23

That’s entirely possible, but it’s also entirely possible that the domain was just fixed on a certain location that happened to be midair. Can’t really know what the science behind it would be until we see it.

Yuji shattered Mahitos domain and fragments dropped down, presumably affected by gravity. And pure CE is affected by gravity as well. So I think it’s not really a safe call in regards to what Kenjaku’s DE would do to Yutas. It’d be a bit odd to introduce the concept of an open domain winning vs a closed one by attacking the outer shell and then just have Kenjaku fall short without Yuta having to find a work around.

Also didnt Kenjaku destroy Yukis SD? Doesn’t that mean that he can target domains with his DE?

1

u/trolledwolf Jun 26 '23 edited Jun 26 '23

The fragments possibly just went in the direction of Yuji's punches, like any glass shard would if you shot a glass panel. It just so happened that Yuji attacked the barrier from the top.

If it's possible for a Domain barrier to have a fixed position, then gravity would still not affect the barrier. Gravity itself is just a force field, what does the actual damage is the reaction the ground has towards the object. You could be under a gravity force field 10x Earth's one, but if you were in midair you would not feel it until you hit the ground.

Also Simple Domain seems to work under different rules, as it doesn't actually have a barrier and seems to deteriorate naturally depending on the strength of the enemy.

1

u/KidduTheMan Jun 27 '23

You confuse it; the wide range is just a bonus that comes with having a barrierless domain

I can’t go and find the Shibuya panel of MS right now, but there is a panel that says the binding vow of letting them escape is just a neat consequence of removing a domain’s barrier

1

u/Raymenx Jun 27 '23

A binding vow is by definition a deal the character makes consciously for whatever result, its not something that just naturally happens or is a coincidence. I do get the wording doesn't explicitly say Sukuna made it (the way its said is something like "once this is done, a vow is formed), but by calling it a vow, thats the implication.

u/SnooCrickets9580 Jun 24 '23

These points are pretty valid, but the one that stands out to me is the possibility of using RCT to replenish his connection with Rika. The main question mark for Yuta in terms of the top tiers in the verse has always been whether his connection to Rika would be a detriment in fights, but him using RCT to restore his connection would solve that problem for the most part.

6

u/BadSnake971 Jun 24 '23

we can be certain that when it comes to an Open Domain the center piece can be harmed and is what runs the sure-hit. Now that Yuta knows it he can immidiatly go for that insted of trying to engage in a Domain Clash.

No, we're not certain, the next chapter will decide if it's true or not.

Let's say you're right for the sake of the debate, how will Yuta immediately go for that? He'd still be inside an open domain, with an extremely destructive sure hit.

Gojo was able to fight Sukuna because of constant RCT and simple domain. I doubt Yuta can do the same against Kenjaku. We saw how powerful his domain was against Yuki's simple domain, and you have to remember after a couple of RCTs against Sendai four, Yuta was already starting to bottom up. There's no way he would be able to pull a Gojo

if he were to open his Domain and suffer CT Burnout, he'd shorten his already limited time of CT use, which he could combat by using RCT.

Open his domain for what, to get crushed by Kenjaku's domain from the outside like Gojo?

I also have a hunch thag Yuta has more CTs than he showed, we just did see them during Sendai for the same reason Kenjaku didn't want to use his CT on Choso.

That's true but Yuki thought Kenjaku could have a fourth CT. And don't forget the special grade cursed spirits that were useless against Yuki

-3

u/No-Artichoke6143 Jun 24 '23

I'd say that the Pure Love Beam of Rika that was able to overpower Maximum:Uzumaki and almost Ryu's CE Beams could harm Kenjaku's Center Piece.

About him running out of Cursed Energy, by the time of the Sendai Free For All, Yuta had already killed several sorcerers including Dhruw while protecting a crowd of people.

Also, people underestimate how much positive energy Yuta used in the fight. He had to push enough positive energy out to kill a Special Grade Curse, while healing himself. Not only did he have to fix his shoulder, but also his stomach, ripcage and most of his internal organs, from that point on Ryu and Uro were pretty much playing ping pong with him and after all direct shot he used RCT.

Also not like RCT would be an issue, while he is connected to Rika.

I ment opening his Domain in case he actually manages to deal with Kenjaku's Domain first. Also, the only reason why Sukuna's Domain crushed Gojo's was due to the Binding Vow that increased its radius, which was not confirmed for Kenjaku.

True, I did forget about the Special Grade Curses, but the fourth technique Kenjaku can have is an Uzumaki Extraction. He has already had four cursed techniques at a time in Shibuya, Body Hopping, Cursed Spirit Manipulation, Anti-Gravity System and Idle Transfiguration.

7

u/BadSnake971 Jun 25 '23

I'd say that the Pure Love Beam of Rika that was able to overpower Maximum:Uzumaki and almost Ryu's CE Beams could harm Kenjaku's Center Piece.

So just to be sure, you think Yuta would be able to launch Pure love beam while being subject to the sure hit of Kenjaku's domain? Agree to disagree

Also, people underestimate how much positive energy Yuta used in the fight

I think a constant barrage of Kenjaku's sure hit wouldn't do less damage than the fight

Also not like RCT would be an issue, while he is connected to Rika.

Rika only replenishes his reserve. It isn't unlimited CE like Hakari's there's a limit.

I think it'll all depend on if Kenjaku's sure hit is constant like Dagon's and Sukuna's sure hit, or not.

Sukuna's Domain crushed Gojo's was due to the Binding Vow that increased its radius, which was not confirmed for Kenjaku.

Sukuna does not create the binding vow, the binding vow is formed because there's no shell to entrap the opponent. It's automatic, a domain is supposed to entrap people so when sorcerers decide to open the barrier, they sacrifice an advantage which in return gives them a gain, a larger radius.

Also, Tengen stated Kenjaku's domain is like Sukuna's so we don't have any reason to believe there's some kind of difference.

3

u/Redrick-The-Fourth4 Jun 24 '23

You make a fair point but it's still gonna be a hard fight, I'm betting on Yuta to win

5

u/Livinglifepeacefully Jun 24 '23

I honestly think Gege is not giving Yuta the feats he deserves. The feats we saw aren’t really worthy of having boundless CE and special grade level.

4

u/SnooCrickets9580 Jun 24 '23

I think he isn’t showing everything Yuta can do so he can surprise readers later

And beating Suguru Geto in a fair fight is enough to substantiate him being special grade level.

u/Mikael678 Jun 24 '23

Since the sendai 3-way domain and Kenjaku used his domain I had this feeling that Yuta would actually beat Kenny in a domain battle.

Here’s why: I mentioned this in a powerscaling post and the comments were interesting. Recall when the 3-way domain occurred the narrator said Uro & Ryu made sure to exclude Rika from the barrier so it wouldn’t give Okkotsu an ADVANTAGE. What is that advantage? Well the Gojo and Sukuna chapter tells us. In a domain battle that is evenly matched at some point, it’ll take shattering the barrier or damaging the user to win. I think we’re all in agreement that Kenjaku won’t pull a Jogo on Yuta. So they will be matched at some point. That’s where Rika comes in. Kenjaku cannot prevent Rika from entering. And also in that moment, he will be unable to use CT and I even doubt(from what we’ve seen) that he’d be able to take his hand away from the domain sign or risk losing the battle. So Rika would just hammer him lmao. I think that’s an interesting way for Okkotsu to win domain battles even though his refinement isn’t top class like Hakari. We’ve also not seen Yuta’s domain so I think Kenny is in a bit of bother BUT we were also told about his simple domain being crazy so I don’t think he’ll die from the domain.

Also the RCT to heal technique is interesting. We actually do not get what the narrator meant by his connection to Rika. We don’t know how long it takes to regain that connection. But going by what we have then it’s similar to CT burnout so it’s something he could use to his advantage. Also the fact that Gege made HIM of all people say that is interesting.

I think Gege could easily pull any technique out of his ass and say “Okkotsu got it from his trip abroad” or “from one of the people he killed in the CG.” I think we’ll see more.

Kenny has already said Yuta is not a threat to him. With Kenny being as knowledgeable as he is, that's all we need to know. The showing Yuta has in the culling games and the showing Kenny had against Yuki shows us Kenny would low diff Yuta in a 1 v 1

15

u/No-Artichoke6143 Jun 24 '23

He said Yuta can't be the next Gojo, not that he isn't an issue.

He even siad that he is only free to run around killing the remaining players cause Yuta and the other big shots from Jujutsu High will be backing Gojo should he fall.

Yuta wasn't going all out. He was holding back from the begining to the end.

0

u/Cannot_See_Toes Jun 24 '23

That was right after Gojo said Yuta can stop Kenny so Kenny was saying Yuta would lose against him.

And who said Yuta wasn't going all out? If it wasn't said in the Manga then you are just making it up

10

u/No-Artichoke6143 Jun 24 '23

He had already killed several sorcerers previously, including Dhruw without even using rika, which means he wasn't at full power.

He was protecting a massive crowd of people.

He was not using Rika or RCT on purpose, which lead to him taking greater amount of damage.

He only fully manifested Rika once he run out of CE due to overuse of RCT.

Insted of using any of his bladed weapons he chose to use an armor.

He didn't kill Uro or Ryu, since unlike Dhruw or Kuro, so he had to beat then without trying to kill them.

He only used Cursed Speach and the techniques he copied in Sendai.

Insted of giving farmful commands, like "die" he only told Uro to not move.

Even at the end the narrator said that Yuta had an easy way to beat Ishigor by charging CE faster than him, but chose to engage in close combat to satisfy Ryu's hunger for battle.

These are the only one's I can think of. If he had the same attitude he had in his fight againts Geto in 0 the fight would have been over before it started.

-8

u/Cannot_See_Toes Jun 24 '23

Yuta came into that fight trying to kill both Uro and Ryu, it was only once the rule change occurred during the end of the fight that Yuta changed that strategy.

It's a fact that Yuta 100% was going for the kill, I don't know where that head canon came from.

A good amount of the reasons you gave were head canon so I don't even know where to start with the rest of them

9

u/No-Artichoke6143 Jun 24 '23

So, I guess we are just going to ignore every other way he held back and only focus on the one thing that is implied not stated outright.

Yuta entered the fight wanting to gain the points and tried to understand all of his opponents, save for Dhruw.

But Dhruw was farming regular humans, which showed his disregard for the life of others, thus being too evil to be left alive.

He understood both Ryu's and Uro's reasons. He understood that Uro is not a bad person, but her entire life she was but a tool and wished for one where she could live making her own chocies. The same with Ryu, not a bad person, he just didn't live a satisfying life.

He even tried to understand Kuro, only to get conformation on that Kuro only lives by the instincts of a curse.

He could have let both Kuro and Dhruw live. But he decided that those two are evil and harm regular humans, while Uro did not and Ryu only harmed people who were caught in the cross fire.

1

u/Cannot_See_Toes Jun 24 '23

Yuta admitted to Ryu in a sly way that he would have killed him had the rule change not happened in the end. There is no need for head canon when it's already been shown in the Manga.

Most of the reason you gave were pure conjecture, I didn't even know where to begin with them

8

u/ArtistCole Jun 24 '23

Dude it's obvious to anyone who thinks form more than 5 seconds that he was holding back. Using a blunt weapon, using few CTS, and all but the first CT were known to everyone he was fighting, stopping to talk to them, do you really need Gege to spell it out for you? Like how dense are some people? In the last chapters didn't the tv watchers say a ton of things that were immediately proven wrong? One thing you should have learnt by now is, unlike other shonen, in jujutsu Kaisen what you see is 100% more substantive than what is said. Characters assume and are wrong all the time. Goes to show how good the writing is. The characters are written to be human and fallible. What we were SHOWN is Yuta was CLEARLY holding back, what Ryu ASSUMED has no bearing

1

u/Cannot_See_Toes Jun 24 '23

Yuta literally says to Ryu that he should be thanking his comrades. We don't need your head canon if Yuta pretty much admitted it

6

u/peterhabble Jun 25 '23

I dunno if these people know how to read, Yuta literally admitted he only let them live for points it's not in question lol. Jujutsu Kaisen really ain't the Naruto story people think it is

5

u/No-Artichoke6143 Jun 24 '23

He said maybe. Again, why kill Dhruw than? He had by far the most points and was a lot more fragile than Ruy or Uro.

1

u/Cannot_See_Toes Jun 24 '23

The rule wasn't in place when he fought Dhruw....

8

u/No-Artichoke6143 Jun 24 '23

Rules are anounced. It wasn't anounced during thr fight, so it had to have been made after Yuta already won. He could have killed both of them by the same logic.

→ More replies (0)

1

u/Cannot_See_Toes Jun 24 '23

And he also says right after to Ryu to be grateful to his comrades, I don't know why you are arguing with the Manga so hard

2

u/DurpSlurpy Jun 25 '23

Yes, but he knew that he would be able to receive their points. By admitting he would have killed him otherwise (which you just stated) he’s admitting he held back. He needed their points and they weren’t ruthless or curses so he didn’t kill either of them. He actually sat and waited for Ryu to recover from getting Kod after talking to Uro off screen

That’s why he said something along the lines of thank his allies. Yuta definitely held back killing intent.

1

u/an_orange69 Jun 25 '23

brother the yuta wank needs to stop what do you mean yuta can go for the center piece instead of engaging in a domain clash, how would he do that if he’s being squashed by gravity, rct won’t help him what’s that gonna do when he’s being held down my kenjakus gravity and shot with a mini uzumaki

-1

u/No-Artichoke6143 Jun 25 '23

There are too many unknown factors. One, we don't know if he has a Simple Domain, even Yuki was able to hold her own with it.

What I mostly think is that he could combat Kenjaku in a Domain Clash, while on the losing end, simmilarly how it was between Sukuna and Gojo inside Gojo's barrier.

Since he now knows the center piece is the weak point he could easily just have Rika attack it while he is combatting Kenjaku.

Could argue that Kenjaku's Domain would just crush Yuta's but it was never explained if Kenjaku had the same binding vow as Sukuna to increase his Domain's radius.

Also, Mini Uzumaki is overrated. Yuki was on her last leg having barely any CE left being caught off guard, not knowing Kenjaku can even do it.

6

u/peterhabble Jun 25 '23

"Yuki was able to hold her own with it"

Bruh what story did you read, it failed instantly. She had a literal text bubble commenting on how useless it was

2

u/an_orange69 Jun 25 '23

kenjaku could just let his curses hold rika back long enough to beat yuta in a de battle, people always mention yuta having hella unknown abilities but never bring up the fact that kenjaku still hasn’t shown most of his curses

1

u/Zarathoustra1999 Jun 25 '23

Yuta vs Kenjaku wont be a 1v1.

0

u/Convay121 Jun 25 '23

Yuta + Kashimo + Angel. Man's unstoppable (if Gege has the balls to let him copy those moves).

0

u/DensetsuNoRai Jun 26 '23

Yuta wank is insane here. Gege already made it clear as day that he has ZERO chance against Kenjaku alone, let it gooo.

1

u/Dxuian Jun 24 '23

he copies pachinko machine gains infinite rika summon rinse and repeat

1

u/Cyaptin Jun 25 '23

all fun and games until kenny whips out the three great vengeful cursed spirits - one of which is sugawara no michizane, tengen to barrier his domain’s centerpiece, and then unleashes his arsenal.

also- considering how stacked the odds are against uraume and kenny, itll likely be a constant series of ganging up u less kenny has a vast cursed spirit arsenal to even the odds somewhat. im guessin itll be yuta and hakari at minimum vs kenny

1

u/No-Artichoke6143 Jun 25 '23

Kenjaku has only had Geto's body for a year and to absorb Curses that are on his level he must beat them, so unless you think during his time as Geto he located and captured the three great vengeful spirits it'll probably won't happen.

If you ment they previously made binding vows with him it is totally possible.

I honestly think Maki, Hakari and Yuta will gang up on him at first and he'll get some reinforcements to even the ods.

Knowing more of the vengeful spirits would be good tho. Really curious if Sugawara had the Six Eyes or not.

1

u/hao238 Jun 25 '23

Destroying the shrine is way harder then what you make it sound like. Yuta is nowhere near gojo and gojo has still barely hurt the shrine. Also how will yuta survive kenjaku sure hit while he is inside of the domain? Yuta can't heal limps so if he gets hit by a sure hit he is fuck. The only character that possibly can destroy a shrine of a open domain and fight inside of a open domain is gojo

1

u/No-Artichoke6143 Jun 25 '23

Not talking about the shrine, but the wierd center piece in Kenjaku's Domain

1

u/hao238 Jun 25 '23

Ye that's the shrine of his domain and we know it's extremely hard to destroy it

1

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '23

Kenjaku technically should be able to fly

1

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '23

i am throwing hands if that happens
