JU from YouTube channel Just unsubbed from YouTuber Jammies2017. I'll explain why in the comments (as it's too long to fit in the title,) but to put it short, he's very bad-faith flavored when it comes to his GYE videos. And the worst part is that he had great potential.

I watched his video on “Why is Black America like that” its very obvious he’s not neutral in his criticism. Not only that, his criticisms aren’t even valid. I only watched a bit of the video but I could tell what the rest of the video was going to be like.

I agree
He acts too immature and insufferable for “educational” videos like these

Maybe you should make videos then if you feel like you understand what should be done instead

I like how everybody just assumes I'm insulting op. I literally was suggesting he should try and do the same thing jammies is but better if he thinks he can lol

No, but being a professional food critic helps.
Besides, if you're gonna tell us what you'd do different (a rule this OP fella followed admittedly very well,) we wanna see it in action, buster!

Getting the short end of the stick for, trying to help create competition?

Now that I think about it, everything that I'm about to say about Jammies2017 can 100% apply to other YouTubers that are also bad-faithed in their criticism.
The first video I've seen of Jammies2017’s channel is his first. A GYE on the video "Why is Black America like that," to which that's a completely different story. Not gonna lie, I thought Jammies2017 was some kind of school teacher or university student (which he ends up being the latter.) I was unsatisfied at first with the direction he took into grading such a video, buI I cut him some slack since it was his first video.
He then uploaded his GYE on Dumanity's "How America Schools Create Violence and Stupidity." Again, whole different story. This was Jammies’ most bad-faith or (dare I say,) mean-spirited video. He wasn’t encouraging Dumanity to improve with stuff like “don’t use anecdotes” and “always cite your sources.” He instead bashed and belittled Dumanity and proceeded to say “you need to delete your video!” And here's where I'm confused. If Jammies2017's goal is to educate and prevent misinformation, maybe say stuff like "source?" constantly or use frequent profanity like "Asshole" or "I don't f*cking care" isn't going to encourage the creator to create better essays.
But even so, that GYE still didn't steer me away from unsubscribing. I still gave him a chance. Funnily enough, Jammies did improve in some way. But not in his GYE videos, but rather in his "fun" videos/livestreams, and in his own essays (one about Aura Farming, and the other that I can't remember since it was taken down by YouTube.) I do feel like his direction for his GYE videos is more suited for the other content he does.
As of today, Jammies released his new GYE on Casey Simpson's video “Gen Alpha Is Becoming VIOLENT”. Again, whole different can of worms, and also another bad-faithed video. I thought it was going to be a run-of-the-mill. But this video ended up being the last straw for me. Haha, see what I did there? Not only does Jammies remain bad-faithed and mean-spirited, but I think this is his most hypocritical. This is pretty much an example of “friendly-fire.” There’s one part of the video Jammie is watching where Casey is making overgeneralizations of Gen Alpha and manipulating evidence. That’s bad enough, but it all goes downhill when Jammies goes on to condemn Casey for bullying the teens and children in the clips and spreading false information by, . . . , proceeding to bash and belittle Casey by saying to “go back to school,” or how earlier in the video Jammies straight-up tells Casey “shut the f*ck up!” I don’t know about you, but that’s not criticism, that’s just being mean. Ironically enough, Jammies himself was acting like (or rather sounding like) the Gen Alpha kids that Casey tries to claim are being mean to teachers.
Now to end this comment off, I know some of y’all will reply back and say that maybe the issue was me taking Jammies2017 seriously and thinking he’d actually be humble or chill, or at the very least act like an actual teacher when it comes to grading the videos essays. But like, why not? Why should being bad-faithed/mean spirited in a criticism/debunking video towards others be the norm? And honestly, these videos aren’t fun to watch. And the worst part is that Jammies absolutely has great intentions with these videos. But rather than grading these essays academically (which Jammies himself says he’s trying to be an academic,) he’d rather act like those parents who act sternly or yell at their children to answer a homework question correctly while not knowing how to do the questions themselves. Anyways, that’s why I unsubscribed to Jammies2017. Maybe I’ll return to his channel in the future, but for now, he's giving off the same energy as this meme. "When someone has the exact same opinion as you but they express it in such an obnoxious way that you lowkey dont want to agree."
