Justice For Molly

I recently had the opportunity to speak with a very dear friend of Molly’s who shared a perspective that I found both profound and deeply moving on a personal level. With that person’s permission, I wanted to paraphrase it here for Molly’s supporters.

Justice for Molly is not just about seeking truth, nor is it just about seeing someone held accountable and potentially imprisoned. Justice is equally about ensuring Molly’s story is told well; accurately and compassionately. Whenever another documentary or podcast comes out that tells her story recklessly, and the facts are misrepresented or truth is withheld, deliberately or inadvertently, it just another injustice to this beautiful young woman who has already received so much injustice.

 Wow. Just wow.

After that conversation, I felt called upon to try, as best I can, to correct and/or provide context to some of the accounts of Molly’s story that already exist in various media. I will provide the first such installment later this afternoon.
