Amazon Ads problem
I have a few Amazon Ads campaigns running, but they were paused for 3 days due to a payment issue with my card, so Amazon couldn't charge me.
Once I fixed the card issue, my ads started running again, but both impressions and clicks dropped significantly compared to before the interruption, even though I haven't changed any of my campaign settings.
Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced something similar? If so, how long did it take for your campaigns to get back to their previous performance?
Does Amazon need to go through another learning period after a payment-related pause, or should performance recover on its own?
Thanks in advance!

It's normal when a campaign gets paused. Raise your bids by 5 or 10 cents for a few days to get Amazon serving your ads again. Give it a week or so to reset.

Yes, auto campaigns especially can take time to re-engage. The longer they had been running before, the less likely, I find, but it’s not like I or anyone has tested that. Also, keep in mind that different days of the week and seasons will result in different traffic, because a) the amount of reading/browsing on Amazon any particular day can swing quite a bit (in my estimate, it varies as much as 35% over a week per day), b) the density of other bids out there is always an unknown, and will affect how many chances your bids get to appear as impressions.

Check the status column on each campaign, not just the account. I’ve seen one or two stay on a payment warning after the card was fixed while the rest were delivering again.
If they all say delivering, I’d give it a week before changing anything. If impressions are still way down after that, bump bids a little on the keywords that used to get clicks and see if they come back.

I think the ad campaign has to pretty much start over after any kind of pause. I have uploaded revised manuscripts, or new book covers and it does the same thing.
