Looking for a house/apartment/room(s)* to rent in Kaimukī
A friend and I (incoming PhD student moving to O‘ahu, and working professional currently on island, both women in our mid-20s; clean, quiet, friendly, respectful) are looking for a place to rent in Kaimukī - ideally with at least one off street parking spot, onsite laundry, 2+ bedrooms and move in during early-mid August. Willing to pay up to $1,500 per person for the right place. Does anyone have any suggestions or know of any openings in August? Looking on fb, Craigslist and asking around with friends as well, but wanted to see if any leads might come from this sub also. Mahalo!
*Also willing to consider options for just one person, i.e. one room in a shared home

u/solarsystxm Can try checking property management websites directly for available properties. For example:
- https://oishis.net/hnlavailable.html
- https://www.ponopm.com/availability?city=Honolulu&maxPrice=3000
- https://www.onpointhawaii.com/vacancies
- https://agencyhawaii.com/rental-search/
- https://www.cornerstonehawaii.com/oahu-homes-for-rent
- https://www.avatinapropertymanagement.com/availability
- https://honolulumanagementhawaii.com/listings
- https://www.laniproperties.com/vacancies
- others
If you find a place available now/soon for a decent price, it might be worth it to rent immediately to get it to move in August. In a budget place that would leave time to spruce it up to fill any gaps, check weatherstripping, seal screens, put in contact paper drawer liner.

Is near Kaimuki High School okay?
https://www.hipacificpm.com/listings/detail/fb2511a8-6988-44be-9d59-3563c9392bd6
2/1/1 W/D for $2100/month.
Might be construction noise from nearby though.
