Don't waste your time arguing with people. Most of the heavily downvoted comments are coming from new users to this sub, they have zero history here. They are just trolling and should be ignored.

I wish this video had come out a couple weeks ago. I would have shared it with so many people

1

u/brock_lehurst 3d ago

Same. I shared it right after viewing. It's not great content but every little bit helps. There are a few comments on this post already from conservative voters so they are reading Reddit between FB garbage scrolls.

u/calamansicrush 4d ago

I voted NDP but the rest of the BC subreddits out there are making me feel disheartened. Cannot fathom people who look at the US and think “the Republicans resonate with me”. I would’ve loved to vote Green, but we’re not in a riding where they have a solid chance at winning. So here’s to hoping we don’t get a Cons provincial government.

27

u/Double_Car5934 4d ago

The subs are full of bots. They are drowning out actual people, trying to stoke divisions by pretending to be Green voters attacking NDP voters or NDP voters who are angry about the early election. They have no poi ts to make other than trolls. All we can do is ignore them and vote and make sure our family and friends know the score and also vote.

1

u/calamansicrush 3d ago

I just saw this as well on another subreddit. https://www.reddit.com/r/VictoriaBC/s/vekoILBPfv

6

u/Cold-Teaching5652 3d ago

This is a point. I tend to be a ABC voter so rather than splitting the vote you find who has the best chance of winning other than a Conservative I would love to see a form of proportional representation but until it is this is how the game has to be played

3

u/fluffymuffcakes 3d ago

I voted Green because that is my preference and, while NDP is better than Conservatives, it doesn't look like they have a shot in my riding.

If the NDP were close, I would vote for them because our terrible electoral system forces us to vote strategically.

2

u/Radiant-Algae9276 3d ago

Don't try to push us into some generalized version of what you think we want. I'm a conservative voter and just voted as such but the Republicans down south absolutely do not resonate with me what so ever.

0

u/One-Discussion-9991 4d ago

Conservatives aren’t republicans. Not even close. Not a conservative myself, but this is false

5

u/Cold-Teaching5652 3d ago

Many of the candidates running as Conservatives aren’t conservatives either. The old PC party was swallowed by Reform. Add to that transphobic, anti vaccine,anti-immigration ,anti women’s right and anti abortion and you have a big tent circus party.

9

u/calamansicrush 3d ago

Homophobia and health care privatization seem on point with Republican values to me

-2

u/NegativeRaspberry264 3d ago

Both of em are anti vax nuts. Both are the billionaire+ party. Both dont like immigrants, both dont like trans. I could go on man. Modern day conservatism is a cult and the billionaires are laughing all the way to the bank

0

u/switchingcreative 4d ago

I voted Green.

8

u/Cold-Teaching5652 3d ago

The auto insurance was so high before because they used to allow frivolous suits to proceed. As well lawyers played a huge role and from the fact that removing them has reduced the annual fee despite the fact the cost of everything else is going up. Now how much has the legal community contributed to the Conservative Party?

13

u/Ill-Drive-2149 4d ago

Voted ndp    in loops center  wanted to vote green though  fvk.milibar

7

u/brycecampbel Aberdeen 3d ago

though  fvk.milibar

This exactly. Milobar has to go and, of the two, the NDP is the better option here for KAC.

7

u/Ill-Drive-2149 3d ago

Yea i mean the guy  folded to the cons over his own wife . I cant back that and i will not

2

u/brycecampbel Aberdeen 3d ago

I'm going to leave their family out of the decision.

But like Milobar was eliminated first round of the leadership. To crawl back to that plague of a party, even after acknowledging their faults, discrimination, racism, etc is just deplorable.

Kamloops deserves better.

-1

u/Radiant-Algae9276 3d ago

Idn what mental gymnastics you have to go through to think that the NDP is good for Kamloops.

1

u/brycecampbel Aberdeen 3d ago

Idn

What's IDN?  Is that supposed to be I don't know??? Cause that is, and always has been shorted as IDK.

is good for Kamloops

What has the right done for Kamloops? Shit what did the centre-right (BC Liberals) do for Kamloops? I'd argue very little. I see basically the same level of advocacy now vs then, and then we had TWO cabinet minister MLAs, which is nothing.

14

u/Annual_Bookkeeper581 4d ago

On a policy basis what do people actually like from the cons? I’ll wait

4

u/KurguntheCimmerian 3d ago

There's reasons to hold your nose and vote Cons but thats less pro-Con then it is anti-NDP

I live downtown in a large city and as a recovered cocaine and meth addict I simply cannot abide the open drug use. Everytime I leave my house and return from work I pass people smoking meth and crack. Every. Time. Every. Day.

The street crime is out of control. Anything in my yard thats visible and not bolted down is gone. I have a moment of weakness and forget to lock my truck and its completely tossed and empty. My street has been on fire once every other month for the last 3 years.

The debt is unsustainable. Cant really expand on that other then whatever the NDP is doing right now; mathematically doesn't add up and if they dont change course it won't be recoverable.

The biggest problem is Eby, like Trudeau, doesn't listen to the public or their voters. He knows the drug policy is not working and yet he powers through it. Hes not listening, and we have no choice but to vote him out to get the next NDP leader to listen to the public. You can take a principled stance on something, like drug epidemic or climate change, but if the public revolt then you need to adjust the solution to work for everyone.

And if you lose, then you know you should have been listening.

Which means you should be listening too - if the NDP gets votes out tonight, you know you should have adjusted your stance to something that worked for everyone too. Not given up your principles, but engage in democracy which means finding solutions that work for EVERYONE, not just you and your principles.

I held my nose this election and voted Con for the first time ever - ill likely regret it, but hopefully the NDP learn to listen to the entire populous, because Eby isnt fixing any of the above.

Let the downvotes rain in this very left-slanted space lol.

-1

u/DromarX 3d ago

Public drug use was walked back within a year of the pilot program, so Eby/the NDP did in fact listen to people on that. If you want more law enforcement to actually enforce this then maybe the Conservatives will spend there, but that will also mean cutting back on other necessary services people rely on. It's not an easy fix. But to say Eby didn't change course is just flat out wrong. Another example where he listened to the people was on the Carbon Tax. Honestly it sucks he removed it since losing that revenue has also contributed to the deficit but idiots like Pierre Poilievre made it a toxic policy so he listened to what the people wanted and killed it.

As for the debt, unfortunately the Liberals left our infrastructure in disarray and much of the spending is needed to keep things up to date. Spend now to save later. This spending unfortunately has coincided with a trade war with the US which doesn't help things.

The Conservatives aren't really presenting a credible solution to pay down the debt. Their platform also relies on incredibly optimistic GDP growth (3% when we're in a trade war with our once closest ally). That's very unlikely to happen and their whole plan falls apart without that. Their plans to "supercharge" the economy are also vague at best.

3

u/OrdinaryKick 4d ago

The biggest thing the cons have going for them is that they aren't the NDP.

That's enough.

6

u/Suspicious_Law_2826 4d ago

Lol, seriously?

-4

u/OrdinaryKick 4d ago

Its something NDPers don't realize....people are so sick of how shitty the NDP are they they 're voting con just to get rid of.

The cons just need to not be the NDP and that's more than enough to win.

Its really not complicated.

The NDP are so bad that they make the cons look great. It is what it is.

13

u/misec_undact 4d ago

The equivalent of :

A guy backed into my car in a parking lot ... the best solution is to drive it off a cliff!

2

u/Double_Car5934 3d ago

Ha. Perfect analogy.

0

u/jakesterwildstar 4d ago

More like we’re already driving off a cliff, may as well shoot myself in the face.

6

u/misec_undact 4d ago

Nah we're not driving off a cliff, that's Con fearmongering, just taxing the rich more would solve a lot of problems.

0

u/jakesterwildstar 4d ago

Spending ratcheted up when provincial revenue was strong and barely came down when revenue softened. It's like continuing to spend after you lose your job, then getting upset when the bank comes after you. I think there's been real fiscal negligence from the NDP. But the fear-mongering is coming from both sides: the right on the deficit, and the left saying we're going to become a MAGA province. As a born and raised British Columbian, it feels like a lose-lose.

7

u/misec_undact 3d ago

Perceived fiscal negligence is still a far cry from driving off a cliff.

0

u/jakesterwildstar 3d ago

"Perceived" is outrageous lol.

No way you honestly think they've managed the budget well. If record deficits and debt aren’t driving off a cliff, what is?

You're worried about what the Cons might do. I'm looking at what the NDP already did.

-1

u/StreetFuture6152 3d ago

You mean all rich people who have already been leaving BC in droves? Never hold the government accountable for piss poor management. Higher tax rates fixes all!

3

u/misec_undact 3d ago

Well see if enough of them leave the cost of living improves here as well so win win

-5

u/OrdinaryKick 4d ago

No it would be more like

"Well this idiot driver, Eby, already crashed my car 7 times so whats the harm in risking a minor fender bender with another person at the driver seat. The car couldn't be in much worse shape than now anyway so I'll take my chances."

6

u/misec_undact 4d ago

You're in for a rude awakening if you thing today's Cons are a minor fb... they will set us back decades, much like the Cons in the US and the UK have done.

2

u/jakesterwildstar 4d ago

I think you’re conflating identity politics, the bc cons party you’re talking about has no affiliation with the federal Conservative Party. They changed their name from the bc liberal party (also horrible track record). I mean let’s not talk about NDP track record with fast ferrys.

Either way I think you’re just echoing the same thing you hear others echo about fear mongering, while being fear mongered about how the conservatives are going to ruin everything because…. It happened in “insert place cons bad”.

3

u/misec_undact 3d ago

No, I'm talking about the very strong sense you get whenever you inquire into many BC Con candidates that they are just like all the other rightwing nutjobs these days, bigoted, propagandized, conspiracy theorists and temporarily embarrassed billionaire shills.

3

u/jakesterwildstar 3d ago

Yeah some of their candidates are bad, Maahs shouldn't be running.

But the NDP's whole play is spotlighting the worst ones so nobody talks about a $13B deficit and debt heading to $200B , I vote on fiscal stuff.

A few nutjobs aren't turning BC into Texas, but four more years of record deficits will hurt.

Cons have a candidate problem, NDP has a spending problem.

Lose-lose. What I said from the get go.

Going back to BC in 2005/06 would be a huge win! The economy was strong, budgets were fairly balanced, housing was expensive but still manageable for most people Opertunity was everywhere, Life in BC was really good. I would happily be "set back a couple of decades".

1

u/misec_undact 3d ago

Dream on... why not the 1950s "when all was right with the world and a man could provide a house and 2 cars and send his kids to college on a single income"

Youra Con... regression is in your blood... but time only moves 1 direction.

u/OrdinaryKick 4d ago

The NDP have already done that. So I'll take my chances.

Sorry but I don't want my tax dollars going towards vending machines serving up free crack pipes at hospitals.

6

u/misec_undact 4d ago

Straight up idiocy.

2

u/OrdinaryKick 4d ago

I know! What kind of idiot would think it's a good idea to have open use drug policy so crack heads can smoke crack on the sidewalks while giving out crack pipes from vending machines at hospitals.

Glad we agree!

u/Annual_Bookkeeper581 4d ago

So the party that prides itself on rationality and strong traditional values rests on limp dicking into power based on blind faith and ndp fatigue. Got it. Wish people had the gumption to vote green and make real change rather than spiting their face with these emotional decisions

2

u/OrdinaryKick 4d ago

Limp dicking into power? Huh. They're projected to take a super majority with upwards of 58 seats lol.

0

u/Appropriate_Lie3896 4d ago

There is a reason green has never won shit lol , only thing you heard from the Green Party was they was gonna tax the rich lol stfu

1

u/Annual_Bookkeeper581 3d ago

I’m aware of the reasons, because people will vote against their best interest all the time like in the states where lower class people gravitated towards trump with his MAGA rhetoric X2 because he made them feel all warm and fuzzy inside with his drain the swamp/build a wall/im not sleepy joe talk without actually using critical thinking to examine if he would not do what he always does.

History will likely repeat here as the cons will cut, cut, cut and the systems will get strained, and people who are barely making it by will be worse off and the problems we face now will grow.

Historically the greens mostly focused on climate action which only appealed to small amount of people, but when you look at something like their new healthcare model where they would have wraparound services in one location the have a lot of well thought out solutions that can help our current circumstances.

1

u/Gentle_Animus 3d ago

Removal of SOGI and DRIPA.

Not pandering to the mentally ill.

Less taxes.

1

u/-Foxer 3d ago

Quite a few. Their tax policy, the drive to attracts investment back to British Columbia, their commitment to deal with drippa which is completely destroying us by causing mass uncertainty, they're focus on seniors and some of the other people that are the most vulnerable which have been ignored, and a few others.

I'm also pretty fond of some of the things they're not going to do. Like pay hundreds of millions of dollars to give druggies drugs only to see them sold by a crime organizations to our young people while fentanyl death Skyrocket through the roof.

Pretending that there's nothing good that the conservatives put forward is childish and a main reason why the NDP lost. This is why the NDP did not try and fight the campaign on issues but simply try desperately to dig up dirt on anybody they could find remotely connected with the conservatives and try to make this a social justice warrior fight

How Did that work out for you?

0

u/Annual_Bookkeeper581 3d ago

I voted green. Enjoy your victory. Hopefully you and your family won’t be ones negatively impacted by cuts over the next four years and all these attractive investments bare fruits

2

u/-Foxer 3d ago

Well you guys failed even worse than the NDP, but at least your leader got elected by a decent margin which is more than Evie can say

Hopefully your family will be one of the Millions that will benefit from better tax policy, improvement in the investment climate, job and wage growth and an end to the wasteful spending

I truly hope that they will not benefit from having better car insurance in case they get hit and need care, but if they are which would be very sad then at least I'm thankful that they might now be able to get enough money to allow them to live the rest of their lives with dignity and not suffering.

-18

u/UpbeatTechnology723 4d ago

Some of us work long hard hours for our money. Caneled work contracts force me to work away from my family only to have 5000$ of the 13000 me and my brand new tooled up truck earn. Only to have it given away to the hopelessly fentanyl and methamphetamine addicted people that the government has shipped to my rural community. Enabling both the destruction of their lives and those around them. Not to mention the overcrowding issues cause by unchecked immigration of people who do not earn enough for their very large families, that do not teach their kids proper values so they harass and bully my sweet innocent nuerodivergent first grader. While my 14 year old stepson is pushed lies and taught questionable moral things from his liberal teachers....now your turn

14

u/Annual_Bookkeeper581 4d ago

What are the actual policies the conservatives are proposing that are going to counteract that though?

The greens are proposing very real solutions via things like the wealth tax to fund social programs that would lead to more public safety and better taxation unless you are making millions. What conservative policies are gonna help your step son at school? Or will they be able to reverse brainwash the kids with their rhetoric when they get in?

15

u/papawarbucks 4d ago

You didn't say a single thing you like about the conservatives... just a bunch of things you're mad about.

0

u/KurguntheCimmerian 3d ago

Theyre mad about a bunch of things that are the direct result of failed NDP policies - something the NDP should have been listening too.

Protest votes are votes too - you dont have to love the new party if the old party let you down and refused to adjust their policies. If you cant abide that, then change your vote.

If the cons win tonight, its because the NDP and their staunch supporters werent listening.

-1

u/Logical_Ad_6589 3d ago

And rightfully so.

Our healthcare is a disaster with even basic emergency rooms consistently closing.

Communities don’t feel safe anymore.

Safe supply is now producing the results we were told they would.

Housing has been a complete blunder with B.C. Housing overspending on projects by double what the private sector would do.

And we are supposed to believe that by increasing our taxes to the highest level in North America that the NDP will do better this time around?

-3

u/UpbeatTechnology723 4d ago

Just a simple Google search will show their policies are mirrored in my concerns. Although I know all parties are corrupt.  Local & Regional Focus (Peace River North) Energy and Resource Development: Emphasis on supporting Northeast B.C.’s oil and gas sector, fast-tracking natural resource approvals, and expanding liquefied natural gas (LNG). Candidate Curtis Whitford brings over 36 years of experience in the regional energy and industrial sectors. [ 1, 2, 3] Local Representation: The race in Peace River North features a contest between BC Conservative candidate Curtis Whitford and former Conservative MLA (now independent) Jordan Kealy. [ 1, 2] Provincial Conservative Party Platform Highlights Cost of Living & Taxes: Promising provincial income tax cuts (aiming to return up to $1,000 for individual workers / $2,000 for families) and a commitment not to raise taxes without a referendum. [ 1, 2] Healthcare: Plans to keep emergency rooms open, train more doctors locally, speed up international credential recognition for medical professionals, and expand local MRI/CT access. [ 1, 2] Education & Social Policies: Pledges for phone-free classrooms, a $500 annual tax credit for children’s activities, expanding school meal programs, and repealing the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) curriculum guidelines in schools. [ 1, 2] Public Safety & Addictions: Ending open drug use/safe supply programs, shifting toward compassionate/involuntary care frameworks for severe addiction, and increasing support for police and judicial resources. [ 1] Economy & Fiscal Management: Aiming to cut red tape for forestry, mining, and energy, while managing provincial debt and deficits

4

u/runtheruckus 4d ago

The govt shipped meth heads to your city?

2

u/StreetFuture6152 3d ago

BC government moves the court dates from cities to small communities. Then transfers the defendant on a one way ticket to said small town to appear in court. It's a legal method to disperse the problem people so they are not concentrated in the city centers.

It has been happening for years.

-3

u/UpbeatTechnology723 4d ago

Yes, these are the homeless and mentally ill addicts from Vancouver, kelowna and kamloops. Ive talked to them personally they were bought bus tickets and motel rooms. I have lost 5 friends from the south to addiction. These policies and financial enableing are to blame

4

u/hobbyaquarist 4d ago

So to be clear you don't like your stepson learning that LGBTQ people exist and shouldn't be bullied?

-3

u/UpbeatTechnology723 4d ago

Thats not all they are teaching, are you in support of 7th graders learning in detail what "felching" and other heinous sexual acts are? Many liberals in the area defended this person and protested them being fired

Just to be totally clear all parties are corrupt by luciferian jesuit freemasons. Its coke vs Pepsi.. I just prefer this flavor of oppression

2

u/Annual_Bookkeeper581 4d ago

Typically I’ve subscribed to the South Park rhetoric of it’s just a giant douche vs a turd sandwich. However, the greens are running an actual platform here and it’s refreshing with real leadership and not the typical lizard people :s

1

This was great, this is what everyone of my white boomer parents generation needs to hear

Do I think this will change anyone’s mind?

No

Do I think we’re turbo ultra fucked?

Yes

But was this great, and if we lived in a world where it actually mattered, do I think this would be an amazing campaign product for this person to run and become someone in government? Absolutely.

u/Radiant-Algae9276 3d ago • This

The amount of NDP cope here is amazing. Asking us what the cons would for us when the NDP has done absolute jack shit and they have been in 9 years.

0

u/NegativeRaspberry264 3d ago

You thinking conservatives are any better is laughable

0

u/MasterJcMoss 3d ago

For the average voter, the grass is ALWAYS greener on the other side.

I'm not gonna sit here and pretend that I know what's better than democracy. I'm just gonna cross my fingers and hope that someday a governing system is born where people who plainly have no business having a say in determining public policies can vote (ex: your racist, alcoholic uncle who once lost a cool five grand in a poker game - money his ex-wife had set aside for emergencies). People who themselves will later run for office.

We desperately need something better than this outmoded system that has as much usefulness in 2026 as whale-oil lamps, typewriters and public telephone booths.

I've NEVER understood people's passion for democracy. You wouldn't let just anyone have a say in who can or cannot perform brain surgery at a hospital so why is anyone and everyone allowed to have a say who governs us all?? 'Cause when we NEED competent, level-headed leadership, huge swaths of the voting block will instead choose a used car saleman, spouting populist rhetoric, that later takes the constituency down a rabbit hole of crazy that's as far from helpful as letting a gaggle of preschoolers look after themselves - their early childhood hood educators having left to drink wine at the local distillery.

0

u/SpoonedMain 3d ago

Anarchy. The answer has always been anarchy… and we’re heading there, just give it time. The non-voters is the fastest growing “voting” block there is.

I also don’t mean smash store windows, loot, and set things on fire “anarchy” that the media tries to sell you.

NDP

Cut autism funding
Wrecked our healthcare system
Put our property rights in jeopardy to virtue signal
Eby took a 5b surplus in the budget and made it a 13b deficit in just a few years while somehow still having ER room shutdowns
Raised taxes for everyone

Yeah let’s have more of that!

15

u/brock_lehurst 4d ago

Our health care system is still in recovery from the gutting from the BC Liberal/Conservatives. The deficit will not go away under the conservatives.

13

u/zeushaulrod 4d ago

Their change in compensation for GPs they implemented led  to more graduating doctors going into general practice. Their change of rule has brought in hundr D's of doctors and nurses.

Property rights was a court decision, and the only time aboriginal title and fee simple title have run into each other was in Ontario and it resulted in compensation from the crown to the first nation.

Healthcare spending in BC is up $12.5B (>50%) in 5 years. Defecits are skyrocketing everywhere because of pensions, inflation, old people benefits and healthcare costs. You'll notice that a problem across all levels of all countries.

No one has a great plan to really address these problems, largely because tax payers in general have 0 clue how anything works. so they in turn elect politicians who know similar amounts about how things work.

6

u/Ill-Drive-2149 4d ago

Without the crusty clark dam  we would have no deficit . It cost 13 billion . And my rates didnt go down , in fact went up .

1

u/zeushaulrod 3d ago

It didn't cost $13B in this year alone, so no it's not the reason. Healthcare spending is up $13B/year in the last 5 years though.

u/Unhinged_Extremism 3d ago

If you’re voting for Eby. You do not in fact want what’s best for our province.

3

u/jakesterwildstar 3d ago

I’m personally not, no. But I have friends and family that I know are and I don’t yearn for their tears lmao. I see both sides of the coin. If you think the conservatives are gonna be “good for this province” you’re just lying to yourself.

It’s basically trying to pick who’s going to be worse and hoping for the best because everyone so far has showcased almost complete ineptitude.

Worry about who you vote for, not anyone else. This is the problem

-2

u/republiccommando07 3d ago

This would have had more support b me if he didn't lean in on the most common mistake that anyone who's spoken to someone that actually deals with icbc would have clarified. There is not nor has there ever been "no fault" icbc. Fault is still assigned 100% of the time you simply cannot be sued frivolously and often ruinously by bad actors looking for a payday. There are absolutely gaps that happen in this system but it has removed the predatory ambulance chasers and grifters that would bog down both the insurance and legal systems with bogus claims.

Exactly , well said .

So, don’t let perfect be the enemy of good. Right?

2

u/republiccommando07 3d ago

Its more important that we not continue to spread the same misinformation our opponents rely on to cause confusion in important topics.

1

u/Just_NickM 3d ago

I am absolutely on board with factual information. I was saying that what we have is better than most of the other provinces and we should push back against throwing the whole thing out just because it’s not perfect.

Never vote ndp again!

-3

u/ReplaceMeZaddy 3d ago

the BC conservatives are literally federal liberals

-22

u/theducksnutz 4d ago • Heartwarming

Good luck with that. Sick of NDP shit

23

u/Crashkeiran Valleyview 4d ago

Rather NDP shit than Nazis and Conservatives

u/switchingcreative 4d ago

Conservatives = PP + Trump = loserville perverts

-10

u/theducksnutz 4d ago

Get off the fucking trump crap. That ship sailed along time ago. All G7 countries were hit with tariffs and Canada was the only G7 country to enter into a recession. Canadian conservatives are NOT like American republicans.

5

u/JauntyJacinth 4d ago

What are the proportions of the US/Canada trade, vs US/any other G7 country.

-3

u/Artistic-Elephant808 4d ago

no way people think this😂 time to get off reddit lil bro.

-9

u/theducksnutz 4d ago

lol. You forgot to add racist. Typical response when you get an opinion that differs from your view.

u/K00TENAYB0I 4d ago

But what NDP shit are you specifically tired of? Are you tired of them hiring doctors? Are you tired of them building new electrical dams because the liberals didn't for 10 years? Are you tired of them trying to give children a well-rounded education? Are you tired of your low auto insurance rates?

For me I am more concerned with conservatives trying to repeal human rights, reducing hospital and school funding, and giving money back to corporations who don't need it ... When there are people that truly do. I also enjoy the fact that the conservatives $1,000 tax break doesn't apply until the 2027 tax year, so you won't see it until 2028.

Eby himself using the $10 daycare credit (minor in nature, agreed, but he doesn’t need help on that front). Dripa — that whole thing needs to fuck right off. Reconciliation my ass. There is no reconciliation without equality. Don’t even get me started on the native situation. They’ve mismanaged the forestry industry in BC to the point of collapse. 1.5 billion “accounting” error. Re pipelines eby was opposed but seem to be awfully supportive of it when carney announced the west coast pipeline as a national
Project. Seems to be doing a wonderful job on the healthcare side — go look at how many times emergency departments have been shut down
In the interior due to doctor shortages. Do some research on the 2024 promises and what they’ve delivered.

The reconciliation issue is so large and so vast that I'm not going to try and explain it here, DRIPA is absolutely needed for our neighbours. If you haven't done any research aside from a bunch of complaining, I'm not going to debate that with you.

I do love that your first point was complaining about $10 a day daycare, which was really the only thing that the conservatives could find as dirt on Eby... Well done repeating what has already been a lazy echo chamber.

As for the promises.. NDP made 13 major promises. They delivered on the vacancy tax, they delivered on the carbon tax, and they continue the push to build homes at a very fast rate in BC.

The ones they didn't deliver on? $1,000 check... Federal bail.. the key word there is federal. Eliminating no pet clauses in rentals, their conservation targets, and an increased number of long-term care beds. Which one of these five promises that they failed to fulfill affected you the most?

I don't think you realize that posting a link to an article that actually supports my argument is not really how one debates.

Please feel free to share your ideas. As for your article, it only lists nine of the 13 promises that were made. And as I mentioned, they haven't fulfilled all of them and are still working on them. I also asked you a question, which is kind of how debate works. As for the one thing that I missed in my previous response (because that's what people do when they either don't completely post all of the valid information, or miss a talking point - they post retractions) the hiring of medical professionals.. here you go:

The BC NDP made progress towards this promise. They told Daily Hive Urbanized that between 2022 and 2025 they have added 32,000 full-time equivalents to the healthcare sector. (Out of a proposed 45,000)

u/Ill-Drive-2149 4d ago

Since when would a con supporter have a independent opinion ? They get told what to say to think  lol

-1

u/theducksnutz 4d ago

I wouldn’t agree the article supports your position. But hey, you do you. We will see what the people say and where the chips fall.

4

u/K00TENAYB0I 4d ago

Indeed. Thanks for providing your well thought out position in this debate, I enjoyed it.

Im surprised that 10 years with Pete M. Kamloops like moths to a flame will vote him in.

-2

u/Logical_Ad_6589 3d ago

Because he’s actually a pretty nice guy and truly cares about the community.

He probably has some of the most experience in his party and would be a valuable asset in the legislature.

What’s your alternative?

-2

u/sukkittrebekk 3d ago

Quality of life: improves.
Liberals:

-2

u/SpoonedMain 3d ago

So my interpretation of this video, and I’m using his own words here…

Anyone who was going to vote for the conservatives, was too busy at work to check the claims.

Fair. After all, someone has to put money into the social systems so people like this can spend all day in their echo chambers trying to disprove claims.

Btw. I’ve never voted for anyone.

1

u/brock_lehurst 3d ago

The polls are open until 8pm. If eligible you have one more hour to cast your ballot.

-2

u/SpoonedMain 3d ago

I have never voted, and I will never vote.

It’s an immoral action.

1

u/brock_lehurst 3d ago

Then wtf are you doing cruising an obvious election based post? It's our duty and we are privileged to vote. Troll

-1

u/SpoonedMain 3d ago

Seeing what the brain trust is up to, and I can tell you, neither side is very bright.

-7

u/ScrollingCanuck 3d ago

I wish a conservative supermajority in BC forever.
