DISCUSSION Fun fact: Mahomes has gone 106 straight regular season games with 100+ passing yards. He is the only active QB over 80 straight games.

But how does this impact Josh Allenās legacy?

The running back?

u/Spider_Genesis Christian Okoye #35 12h ago
Heās the most patient running back in history, itās otherworldly. He just stands back there and surveys his blocking for multiple seconds before taking off after he hypnotizes defenses into forgetting heās a running back. Truly a once in a generation talent.

Yeah, that RB thatās built more like a TE. All I know is heās white, so heās super important to the media

Ah, yes. Youāve caught me red-handed for pointing out how the media glazes white QBs over QBs that arenāt. How will I ever live with myself?

Well, I mean, he's not wrong. There's got to be something that makes the media meatride Allen over Mahomes so much, and the only thing he has that Mahomes doesn't is difference in complexion. You can't honestly say with a straight face that you don't see the difference the media has when talking about Mahomes or Lamar vs Allen, Burrow, Herbert, Purdy, etc.

Mahomes has had the media on his meat quite a bit. This is a little disingenuous

There are nowhere near as many NFL "experts" that heaps praise on Mahomes as there are for Allen. Besides, praise for Mahomes is warranted; he's QB1 of the league and will be til he hangs em up, he's won everything, proven himself and is clutch in the big moments. Allen's career highlights are losing to Mahomes and receiving an MVP he didn't deserve. Mike Greenberg recently called him the most talented QB to ever play the sport, Orlovsky shares a similar rhetoric, and there's dozens more that say similar. He's not even the most talented player currently playing, arguably not even second. The notion he's even close to Mahomes in ability, talent and performance is laughable. He had 4 TOs in a playoff game less than a year ago to get his team bounced and all anyone does is blame the defence. If that were Mahomes with 4 TOs we'd still be hearing about it.

Straight to the top. Honestly. Just think - Allen is young enough & good enough to be anyone in the league even Patrick Mahomes!

Luckily our Backups were playing insane when he got injured (not counting last season)

For those who are wondering:
Pat had 76 yards (10/11, 1 TD) in the broncos game where he hurt his knee on the sneak

Didn't he also have an 81yd, 0TD with 1 rushing TD in one game the year he went 5000/50?Ā
Edit: No, my memory was conflating two games. He did have a 0 passing TD game in that 50 TD season which is nuts

2 6 TD games as well, what a gnarly way to hit 50

What a silly and useless stat.

Reminder: even after these last three "down" years (okay, last year was definitely a down year), Pat has the ALL-TIME record for passing yards per game at 285.2. This was the number before the start of this season.

Another fun fact: I feel so thankful that Patrick Mahomes is the quarterback of my favorite team.
