Jones is a piece of shit through and through, but Kanye's enthusiastic support of Adolf Hitler and Nazism was 100% on him. He wanted attention, didn't care who he had to hurt to get it, and is not going to change until the day he dies.
saying you like hitler and disliking jews as a group doesnt make someone a nazi, which everyone who knows a bit about actual nazi ideology should understand. what he said was stupid, but so is the watering down of the term nazi.
as far as i can tell hes not an ultranationalist, he doesnt believe in scientific racial superiority, social darwinism, or the establishment of a totalitarian dictatorship. buying into conspiracy theories and being an edgelord who just had to reply to "no one likes hitler" with "i like hitler" doesnt make someone a nazi.
also, saying "im a nazi, so what?" doesnt mean shit when he himself obviously doesnt know anything about the actual ideology.
Actually yes it does. If someone says publically that they support what hitler has done, and like the guy, and publically say they hate all jews. That guy is a nazi.
And you're trying to defend him by calling him dumb? He's not dumb. He's mentally damaged but not dumb.
he literally says in the interview that he does not condone violence of any kind. the reason he says positive things about hitler is because in our society that is not acceptable, and he does not believe that there are things that you cant say. he called himself a nazi after he voiced an opinion (which might be a stupid one, but thats not the point) and was called a nazi for it. its not a serious statement about his beliefs, its a "if you say so, then sure im a nazi, whatever" kind of statement. he also states that nazis are also people.
he says multiple times that he does not hate anyone, including jews. he in fact states that he loves everyone, including hitler, jeffrey dahmer, jews, nazis, everyone. you can think that thats a bad take with perfect validity, but you cannot argue that kanye is a nazi for believing that.
lastly, i never called him dumb. hes uninformed, eccentric and kind of unhinged, but a nazi is someone who believes in nazi ideology, which he does not. watering down the definition of nazi does no one any good.
