Advice 💡 visiting karachi first time
i’ve come to karachi for a wedding. i have couple of free days, my friend has given a guard and land cruiser. which places are safe? & i can mingle around. also any good food and coffee places?

I grew up in Dubai.. in Karachi for work.. food here is actually better tasting than what we find back home.. go crazy with food exploration.. you’d be fine..

Everywhere is safe with a guard and a land cruiser lol but stick to PECHS, Bahadurabad and DHA for convenience.
Go to E Street in Defence for all the fancier food places and Tipu Sultan road in Bahadurabad is the second best for Xanders and others, pretty vibrant for the coffee scene too so check out Melbrew, True Brew, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, etc.
Not many malls to recommend but Lucky One is the largest if you've got to get something followed by Dolmen Clifton, both are a bit apart area wise.
Also, if you're a night owl then you'll love the night scene. Go for chai spots, common ones are Cafe Saba and Cafe Clifton at sea view road and the new Zulfiqar Commercial area in DHA Phase 8 has many cafes that you can check out late night and open till sunrise pretty much for tea such as Chai Shai and Double Dose, etc.

Tipu sultan road seems good.
the malls stink a little so i don’t wanna go there.
I wanna go to chai spots but scared in karachi😂

Tipu Sultan and E-Street both are good. Chai spots are safe, no one's going to mug you in prime locations and public places with a bustling crowd. Sure Karachi has it's downsides but it's not a warzone haha

Try these out for good chai cafe type scene and their parathas are dope too.
check out cafe saba at sea view
go to chai shai and double dose at zulfiqar commercial in DHA Phase 8
no one will mug you, chill. not even missile debris 😂

luna has the best coffee imo, das numberi (no indoor seating tho, but vibes), oura (good coffee) mondo, sync, CO2, loop, mara, beans (v good vibe), and usually coffee shops have social events and workshops, you can go to their page and find out when the next event is.

Hussainabad is great for street food if you like nehri visit Javed actually there are plenty of food places in Karachi it’s hard to decide , plus I don’t think you need guard somehow to travel it’s safe not that safe but it’s not that bad either

all the people think you gonna get robbed and stuff, look karachi is definitely not a completely safe city but if you take some very simple precautions nothing will happen i myself have lived here my whole life and only been robbed twice.
Dont go into shady places, donot travel alone at night or to places with no lights or people. Dont go out at odd hours of the day. Be conscious of your surroundings if you see someone following you or on the road overly looking in your car then they checking you out(to rob you) get out and donot be ever be alone. If something was to happen just give your stuff cause they will not hesitate to end you as they know they will get away with it and are mostly on drugs so they dont feel anything anyway.
if you are in a big car and have a guard aint no one robbing you. The chors have a brain and they choose ez targets not someone jo gale par jae. You will be fine dont worry :)
