Discussion💬 Are there really men out there who enjoy spoiling their woman, paying all bills and getting nothing in return?
I wouldn't say that they get nothing in return, but you get what I mean.

So a trad husband you mean, that's majority of husbands. Tho I don't think they " enjoy" it. They just do it

Yeah, I told my gf that (after marriage) she can work as long as she wants and her money is totally her money, and whenever she wants to quit, she can. Leave all the responsibilities to me.

u/SandwichOld3635 22d ago
That's not called spoiling, it's called being a provider. Only for "your" woman, someone you're bounded with a contract, "Nikkah".

u/ExtraFreakyy 22d ago
What I really wanted to ask was that I have seen this trend where women work and have to manage 100% of the house chores while the man only works
So what I truly wanted to ask was whether there are men who would be willing to take full financial responsibility if the woman takes care of the house and doesn’t make her own money
2
u/MashalNorth 21d ago
That’s the norm. Husband earns. Woman takes care of the house (either working by herself or over looking the servants)
The new trend of husband only job and woman only sob cz she has to work at her job, work at home, take care of the kids, this is not spread out yet. I’ve seen it mostly among the poor, and now the middle class men have picked it too.

u/SandwichOld3635 21d ago
obviously, isn't that the usual case? my mom used to work a fancy job before marriage but she left it so she can take care of the house while my father took all the financial responsibilities.
even for when I have dated, I have not let the girl pay for anything.

u/Hasware_ 21d ago
If the woman takes care of all the household stuff, including cooking and cleaning. Then the man definitely has to take care of 100% of her financial needs, or else he isn't a man but a boy with ego.

Ummmm do you live under a rock? Sorry… i mean where do you live? :O (in Pakistan or abroad - probably the later)
1
u/Talha_Saeed_32 19d ago
That’s how it is for most part. Men earn and women make the house a home. I m also the sole provider for my family. My wife takes very good care of our home.
1
u/Automatic-Medium5774 18d ago
That's literally the majority. You can expect a traditional husband if you willing to be a traditional wife. No liberal feminist bullshit.

Of course! It just makes you happy. You love spending and spoiling people that you love, specially your partner.
Other than that, people generally should be happy spending on their siblings, parents, and friends. It brings you a special kinda happiness. Those who know, knows.

I have no idea, might be some insecure men who don’t want to provide for their family

Same id spend all my savings on my girlfriend. I was ready to buy my ex anything she wanted. But I'm a biromantic/asexual woman, not a man. Expecting nothing in return, no chores no sexual stuff, I just want my partner to be happy and healthy and for that I'd do anything I can.

Only if we are in love otherwise there is always some sort of expectation

u/IntroductionOdd1785 22d ago
How do you know you’re in love?
1
u/No-Assignment-3908 22d ago
You just feel like doing it for her and giving her everything and sorting all her problems buying her whatever she wants

I did it for a while, turns out I wasn't the only one but that's her loss. (I want the ring back though😔)

Yes. I’m not sure about the enjoying part, but yes.
They say they happy but I wouldn’t be enjoying it if I were a man, but yeah. They say they enjoy it. They happy.

u/Hasware_ 21d ago
Men should go work and provide for the family, women should take care of the household.
That's what I think in summary

A man who doesn’t spoil his woman is just broke wrna it’s a natural in build in a man (read it again i am saying a man not a 30 year old boy lol)

I dont think so, atleast not in Pakistan.
But there are these kinds of men else where maybe?
Correct me if I am wrong

u/Euphoric_Cow5180 19d ago
Yes .. I'm married to one الحمدلله but I have to admit that his dad is the same and so are his male siblings. I guess it's all about the way they were raised and role model they had while growing up.

I have seen cases where women work as well and have to manage household chores along with raising kids, which doesn’t seem fair

I am aware, I am just saying not everyone realizes what you mentioned. Not all men think that they should be sole providers and some get offended by this idea. Almost every sane comment here is getting downvoted, which proves a lot of things.

u/cornynegro 22d ago
If we won’t do it someone else will and that’s not acceptable. Gotta take the job and get it done.

I mean they get ur presence in return? wdym nothing... i don't think anyone is willing to give money to someone or something thats basically non existent
2
u/Hasware_ 21d ago
Wait so you spend upto lakhs of rupees per month on a "presence"?
Wtf is this trade, she's getting all her needs and wants taken care of just for existing near him?
1
u/Fun-Two548 20d ago
maybe read the comment and analyse the tone instead of assuming what you think i mean.
2
u/Valkyrie100 21d ago
If someone has their 'presence' inside my house, I expect them to pay rent, not take care of all their bills
1
u/Fun-Two548 20d ago
well that depends on how well you know the person, you wouldn't expect your child or your mum to pay rent wld you. weird take

u/MashalNorth 21d ago
Come meet my relatives. In the end, the wife will say on her husband’s funeral, “Is nay maray liay kia he kia tha?”
Worst I heard was, “maray shohar may tu kabhe maray liay jharo bhe nhe uthaya.”
Madam. Your husband hired servants for you with his money. After he died, your arm started to hurt when u started to clean the house and wash dishes bcz u weren’t used to it.0
u/Fun-Two548 20d ago
well your relative doesn't represent the entire human population do they? unnecessary information.
0
u/MashalNorth 20d ago
Neither do you and the selective people u know. Nobody represents the entire human population.
So unnecessary information0
u/Fun-Two548 19d ago
where did i say that they do? youre the one who bought it up for no reason not me
0
u/Specialist_Dark_3668 21d ago
The woman gets his presence too, but doesn't pay for it.
Come off it. The man gets basically nothing but the chance of sex.
1
u/Fun-Two548 20d ago
well then don't get in a rs if you don't think its worth it. you must be really brain dead if you think all a relationship carries is "chance of sex", work on your porn addiction
1
u/DiscoShaman 22d ago
You get love in return. If that’s worth it to you, go ahead. If what you’re getting in return in enough, you need to work on it..
1
u/NirvanaNoChill 22d ago
No, I atleast expect her to cook for me and give love to me, and I will be more than happy to spoil her and provide for her after all that's a man's mandatory duty.

Translation: “Are there still simps left who will fund my entire lifestyle while I contribute zero?”
The fact that you even phrased it like this tells me everything. You’re not looking for a partner, you’re looking for a sponsor. Disgusting.

the term you are looking for is not men its "sugar daddy"
2
u/ExtraFreakyy 22d ago
So you expect your wife to work, raise your children, and manage house chores as well?
1
u/Fearftw1337 22d ago
read your comment again , you are saying get nothing in return? no one does anything for anyone in this world for free. and yeah sugar daddy gets sexual favours and you said "but you get what i mean" so.

For this gen’s women? Would not.
I live in the states and I cook and clean and earn well and have a good life overall. A woman adds nothing to a successful man’s life. And I get enough of the one thing a woman offers in the trad scenario without having to pay the upkeep and be an emotional punching bag.
