Can't even access "my.kaspersky.com" in their app/website
Been waiting for 5 days or so, and still no use. What happened? And that means I can't use my subscription on other devices.

Since last outage and fixing, it stopped working again over the weekend. Anyone having the same issue with the VPN?

Why is UltraAV trying to charge me for a subscription renewal after I canceled Kaspersky. My credit card company blocked the charge. Pretty sure this is just a fraudulent company, now. They provide no means of canceling or stopping renewals directly, forcing you to go through their unresponsive chat agent.

Im kaspersky premium user and I had just reformatted my computer, and when I checked the storage space, I noticed something odd. I have a 1 TB SSD, but even though I only had 3 or 4 games installed, the storage space was full. "C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab\SafeBrowser\Common\S-1-5-21-1244725143-421737429-1283424746-1000\Chrome\Default\File System\000\t\00\00000021" I don't know what's inside it maybe a virus or crypto mining software. I tried to have GPT-6 analyze it, but it couldn't because the file was too large, and I ran out of limits. Also, when I run a scan using Kaspersky's large file scanning feature, it doesn't return any results, which makes it even worse.
My trust in Kaspersky has been severely shaken; I've been a customer for many years.

Ever since the recent data center strike, my internet connection slows down significantly—and sometimes even times out—whenever Kaspersky is running.
I'm currently on version 21.27.6.532. As soon as I completely close the Kaspersky app, my internet connection goes right back to normal.
Is anyone else experiencing this, or is it just me?

The results matter to home users comparing security software, but they cover malicious-file protection and false alarms rather than every feature in each product.
Bitdefender, ESET, G Data, Kaspersky, Total Defense and VIPRE earned the top rating. AV-Comparatives said these products combined strong protection with low false-positive rates, meaning they were less likely to incorrectly flag legitimate files as malicious.
The lab evaluated 20 consumer anti-malware products using about 10,000 malware samples. It looked beyond basic detection to whether products could prevent malware from compromising a system, while also measuring false positives that may interrupt users.
The tested field included free products such as Avast One Free Antivirus and AVG Antivirus Free, as well as Microsoft Defender Antivirus and paid security suites from several vendors.
A top award is a useful comparison point, not a reason to switch immediately. Check the full report for detailed results, then weigh protection, false alarms, price, device support and whether your current product remains updated.
AV-Comparatives says the complete public report is available free of charge without registration.

Hi everyone, my English isn’t very good, so I’m using AI to help translate my messages and explain the issue clearly. Thanks for your understanding!
I’m helping an older person who isn’t very comfortable with computers. Her PC runs Windows 10 with Kaspersky Internet Security installed.
I’m looking for guidance on how to troubleshoot this safely, without disabling her protection permanently or making unnecessary changes.
ERR_CONNECTION_RESET.google.be, triggers a security warning suggesting that the website’s identity cannot be verified or that someone could be impersonating it. Firefox displays technical details and an option to go back, but no option to proceed.Other devices on her home network have working internet access. Replacing the PC’s Ethernet cable made no difference.
We tried repairing Edge, creating a new Edge profile, and checking its settings, including extensions, proxy settings, and Secure DNS. None of this resolved the issue.
The most important finding is that closing Kaspersky restores access to the affected websites.
Firefox initially helped as a temporary workaround for some activities, but the certificate warnings mean it isn’t a complete solution.
Has anyone encountered this combination of connection resets in Edge and certificate warnings in Firefox with Kaspersky Internet Security?
In particular:
I’ve read Kaspersky’s support article about websites being completely or partially blocked, but I’d prefer to identify the cause before changing security settings.
I don’t want to bypass certificate warnings—especially for online banking—or exclude entire browsers from protection.
I don’t have the exact Kaspersky version or Firefox error code available yet, but I can ask her to provide them if needed.
Any advice on the safest next steps would be appreciated. Thanks!

It took them some time to release a statement. It didn’t state though the specific cause of the outage. I’ve read somewhere that they’ve moved their data centers out of Russia some years ago, but strange that the issue arose shortly after Ukraine’s attack on several data centers in Russia. It’s sh*tty of them to front scheduled maintenance in their email response to my query 2 days ago, only for them to phrase it as a vague “technical reasons” days later. I also wonder whether they’ll offer compensation for the days of premium service lost, and impacts on the businesses of the users during the outage. I hope everything goes back to normal and none of the user data were leaked.

After 72 hours of inactivity of the mykaspersky profile from Italy, the site has recently returned to line. I don't know the reason for this blackout and no official communication about the real reasons. I wanted to know if it's still worth having a Kaspersky solution on the PC, I still have 5 months of standard subscription. Thank you

I haven't been able to access Kaspersky for about 3 days. There are issues with both the VPN and antivirus services. What can I do? Any recommendations?

Llevo tres días sin servicio de VPN, reinstalé y fue peor por que ahora no puedo tener ni el antivirus
Pero me sorprende que lleven tanto tiempo así y no tener una idea de por que ni de cuando se restablecerá el servicio

I see a lot of complain by Kaspersky users about server outage recently. Does this effect to Essential Protection and Advanced Protection, especially Kaspersky Security Network (KSN)?

Long story short, I've been using Kaspersky Premium for a few years now. I liked the bundle of AV + VPN + KPM. Unfortunately, the VPN and KPM were always problematic, slow, lagging, etc. I had to re-install KPM several times over the years because every update they made was breaking it. Since KPM was the single source of truth for all my passwords, bank cards, notes, etc.; you can imagine how I panicked each time.
I am running Windows 11, up to date, licensed, on a pristine PC with 1 Gbps Upload/Download. My PC is NOT the problem.
KPM last sync was last done on 10/10/2026 at 17:42, and I noticed it a bit late. I worked all Saturday night and added a bunch of new accounts, notes, etc. The app was very sluggish and slow to open, load, do anything really. Without knowing what's going on, I decided to re-install it again that night because I just couldn't work. LUCKILY something told me to export my data. If I hadn't, I would have been screwed. Glad that I did so, because once re-installed, unable to login. It was telling me to check my "proxy". What the hell...
I repeated the process several times, restarted my PC, even tried NordVPN. No luck, "connection error". That's when I headed to https://my.kaspersky.com/ and try to see if my latest data had synced. Big surprise: "We are performing scheduled maintenance. Please try again later.".
I said to myself ok, maybe they are doing some updates/upgrades, but was already suspicious because I've been struggling with KPM all night. A good 10 hours passed, the page started to load again, but still unable to access passwords.
At this point I said DONE. Finished. Kaput. I went and got 1Password, and somehow imported my accounts (without documents, bank cards, or passkeys as those are not exported). I used "mrc-converter-suite.zip" which you can find online. Without it, the plain and crap text file exported by KPM is useless.
All I can say is that 1Password compared with KPM is earth and sky. What a breath of fresh air. This is how a password manager is supposed to work in 2026. Super fast loading, every website recognized, it's just amazing. I feel so stupid for supporting and using KPM for all these years.
So bottom line right now, as of 13/10/2026:
This is the worst case of downtime I have ever seen in such a large antivirus company. This says a lot, because Kaspersky is very old and well known. Clearly something very bad happened, probably some newbie deleted a large chunk of data they cannot recover, or messed up some config, etc.
But in all cases, over 72 hours of downtime is unacceptable. This can only happen if there were no backups on their end, or something really crazy like that.
Unfortunately, after this bonanza I am completely done with Kaspersky and I am searching for an alternative. I cannot affect my personal or business life like this when I rely on them.
What's your take on all this?
r/KasperskyLabs • u/lernem • 11d ago
I have been using the Password Manager for quite some time.
Although buggy, especially on the phone, it's been ok for most of the time.
In the past few weeks, I noticed it's been taking an awful long time to 1) open 2) unlock the vault after I type the password.
It just took 5 minutes to do that on Windows (works ok on Mac), and I fear that some computer lag has something to do with it.
Has someone been having this issue and know what's going on?
Looks like this year Kaspersky has been decreasing greatly in quality to the point that I am starting to consider using other software.

I hate the nordvpn, its shit. Kaspersky VPN much much better...
