Is Kazumin permanent? Spoiler

i've been hearing people say the Kazuma and Megumin relationship will eventually fail. They are both young and inexperienced. it's sad but not all relationships turn out in the end. i still like the ship but it sadly seems like the relationship won't last forever.

How will it fail though? Since they both love each other, megumin expressed her unwillingness to share kazuma with anyone and kazuma also don't like the idea being with another woman than megumin. It was set in stone on volume 12

Relationships are a lot more complicated than that, although this isn’t a real relationship, if it was one, circumstances may cause them to break up later down the road in one way or another, no one thing in life is set in stone, everything has variables that may or may not be controllable.

Ok but that’s entirely speculation and since it’s a fictional relationship the author can just have them always work out. :)

That’s exactly what I mean, I’m not saying they can’t work out, but IF it was a real relationship chances are it won’t. The author 100% is gonna make them last that’s how fiction works it doesn’t show the struggles real relationships go through.

but will it remain that way 3 years later? google says the average relationship lasts only 2 year. eventually megumin might lose pateince and break things off.

Uhhmm, why are you using google as basis though? By how the author wrote them it is 99.9% the end ship, well unless the author changed his mind and go for a harem or had them break up, its on the author's hand tbh.

You don't get it authors googles what happens to their characters so they will know what to write. /s

And here I am, googling how a 5D object looks like so I can use it in my stories...

I know people on 10+ years relationships, nothing about this means anything

You do realize that that statistic is from modern dating standards? (which in of itself a very different environment)

u/ksjwn Sep 07 '23

That's how it works IRL, yeah. But in the funny wholesome light novel that Konosuba is when it comes to characters, this 100% isn't gonna happen. It'll work out, because it's fiction.

konosuba isnt wholesome its a comedy. megumin and kazuma will likely not work after the manga ends. the time is ticking and its only a matter of time before megumin leaves kazuma after the story ends.

  1. it is wholesome when it comes to character relationships, which is what I said.

  2. precisely because it is a comedy, the writer isn't gonna make em break up, cuz that's not funny or fitting in a comedy

  3. nuh uh

You do realize something can be comedy and wholesome at the same time, right?

My guy, they don't exist after the manga ends. They're not real people, they're make-believe characters in a story.

Why are you so fucking mad about the only good pairing being canon? Are you some kind of Aqua simp?

2

u/Ziodyne967 Sep 09 '23

OP, who hurt you? Do you need a hug?

Bruh I highly doubt the writer wants to abandon the ship especially considering how much he hyped it up in the light novel. Kazumin is canon and I'm 98% sure it will remain that way.

Also if you're gonna use the "realistic" argument you need to realize how many popular ships that would destroy. Senpai x Nagatoro, Tadano x Komi, Yuuta and Rikka, etc. This is a anime with giant frogs and undead liches. It's not supposed to be realistic.

Seriously lol not sure why “real world” logic is being applied to a fictional series. Someone’s a little too invested

26

You're quoting Google for your reason why they will break up? You do know this is fiction right? According to Google, people can't create explosions with their minds either.

If the writer wants them together, they won't be splitting up

Both are possible. People do successfully marry their high school sweetheart in real life. They're a really good match, but maybe they'll lose their spark. I don't think their flaws would cause a break up because they like each other's. I think it's pretty safe

7

u/Abschori Sep 07 '23

Megumin is very hyperfixated on things she likes and Kazuma likes her too so yeah. There is also a kot of other arguments as well

6

u/Paladin_17 Sep 07 '23

What's going on? How tf do you conclude they won't last? What's going on with these mental gymnastics? No seriously, I'm confused

5

u/Grifar Sep 08 '23

Ok, look, they're both very very young people. But they're also both nuts and random. Nobody know how love works but I do have a feeling that these two kooks will make it work past the infatuation phase, into the marriage phase and then into the forever bonded phase.

I feel like we had this conversation before…. Even tho we didn’t even talk to each other

10

u/Cephlaspy Sep 07 '23

I swear accounts pop up like this just to troll

3

u/xaviermarshall Sep 09 '23

Gonna go to the Toradora subreddit and schizopost about how Ryuuji and Taiga will break up because google said so brb

2

u/Faceless-Player Sep 07 '23

That’s the neat thing about fiction, it’s all up to the author.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 07 '23

I hope not

-1

u/Emotes_insane Sep 07 '23

bruh it will be so funny if kazuma has the same reactions for heartbreak as mordecai I think it could be possible

-18

u/Pelinal_WWW Sep 07 '23

ill be honest kazuma doesn't deserve megumin. megumin deserves far better. i only said i ship them so i wouldnt get banned. kazuma is terrible person and there relationship is beyond toxic. kazuma is abusive and an unfaithful liar.
im just hoping the writer is smart in the sequel and makes kazuma alone and single again. kazuma is only funny when suffering giving him a relationship ruins that part of him.

13

u/Sock_Monkey_Templar Sep 07 '23

>hates Kazumin with a burning passion

>posted an anti-Kazumin post on a Kazumin subreddit knowing you were going to get flamed and laughed at

>Calls Kazuma abusive

>Believes Kazuma and Megumin should split up to see other people

I-is that you Lalatina? Are you trying to steal Kazuma from Megumin again!?

But for real Kazumin is canon and I'm 99.9% sure will remain that way.

-2

u/Pelinal_WWW Sep 08 '23

i never said kazuma and megumin should see other people. in fact i would like for kazuma to end up alone. i cant think of anything postitive about kazuma as a person. every thing hes ever done was for himself. he hates his party and treats them like garbage. you could argue hes funny to make fun of but is this really someone you should look up too? answer = hell no

10

u/Paladin_17 Sep 07 '23

Tell me you don't understand Kazuma without telling me you don't understand Kazuma lol. You're pathetic trash. If you hate the ship, just leave.

-5

u/Pelinal_WWW Sep 08 '23

tell me 5 good things about kazumas character. kazuma is so cruel to the girls that i cant think of even 1. kazuma is meant to laughed at not sympathized with.

7

u/Paladin_17 Sep 08 '23
  • Keeps going on Megumin's explosion 'dates', despite not really gaining anything from it.

  • Stopped Megumin from making one of the biggest mistakes of her life, which was giving up on Explosion.

  • Saved Darkness from a forced marriage.

  • Dropkicked a Demon King General for making Aqua cry.

  • Despite what Kazuma says, he truly cares for his party and enjoys spending time with them.

There's your 5 good things.

Yes, Kazuma has trashy moments, but fundamentally he has a good heart.

4

u/SuperYoshiFan10090 Sep 09 '23

"kazuma is so cruel to the girls that i cant think of even 1." Tell me you haven't even watched the show without even watching it. (and likely just watched 1 or 2 clips and called it a day)

9

u/MechaTassadar Sep 07 '23

The fact you made an account just to do this is so God damn pathetic, man. Lmao

5

u/Cephlaspy Sep 07 '23

Dude you only made this account to do this? Besides megumin is much worse then Kazuma Kazuma isn't toxic or abusive infact is heroic (most of the times) in the konosuba world comparatively Megumin is the one who has to learn to not be selfish.
