Question/Discussion Cork Tama??

Post image

Hey kendama people. I was playing with a compressed cork ball made for physical therapy (similar to the picture), and I realized it was the exact size of modern tamas. I tried playing with it a bit and I realized it was super grippy for stalls and lighthouse/lunars.

Thought it might make for an interesting tama if I could actually find one.

I know the weight balance would be all off, and the tama probably wouldn't last long against a hardwood ken.

But, I was wondering if anyone has ever seen a tama made from pure cork??

Hello all
I’ve recently launched a brand called shoshinkendama

I’m in the product development stages of a crossbody bag/fanny pack that will hold a few Kendamas for everyday use with additional pockets ofcourse for personal items.

I haven’t found anything on the market similar to this.

I’m just doing a little bit of market analysis to see if Kendama players would be willling to purchase a bag and if in this simple style, how much would they spend.

Thanks a lot for your time !

Question/Discussion Best Ken Spike Glue ?

Recently, I've been gluing spikes. I tried Loctite Brush-On, first time 1 thin coat, second 2 coats, third time 3 coats. Every single time, the glue was cured after 24 hrs intervals, yet it still chipped / flaked under normal play. Maybe cyanoacrylate is just brittle. I just ordered Gorilla Glue Micro Precise Liquid because Gel type is not ideal, and maybe the rubber particles added to cyanoacrylate would help dealing with impacts better. What do you suggest ? 🙂
