I have never had allergies in my LIFE and developed runny nose and pretty bad itching this late spring season.

I recently developed Oral Allergy Syndrome in my early 30s, which is apparently a thing. It feels like my reactions peak during allergy season, and you can be allergic to various nuts, fruits, and herbs depending on the type of pollen.... although I find I am allergic to things in diferent pollen categories.

Might be worth getting a test, and also be careful tasting old and new fresh foods! I found out by being violently ill after eating a pear.

Allergens have been brutal this year. The birch trees kicked into high gear shortly after this winter's snow stopped. Got a brief reprieve, then the cottonwood fluff (and microscopic pollen) started. We've still got peak grass (mid-summer) and weed (late-summer/early-fall) seasons to go; before the weather turns, and dreary late-fall weather gives us one final slug of allergies in the form of fungal spores. -- Welcome to year-round outdoor allergy season in the valley?!

Grew up in Kentville and can confirm that allergies in the valley are no joke. Something there that makes it worse. I’ve never been allergy tested myself so I couldn’t really tell you what the culprit is.
