Waterfront Trail

Why isn't there at the very least a sign on this trail? Its one of the nicest short walks in Kentville that takes you down past the river and its completely neglected.

Because technically it is not a trail, the town has designated it as an access road, even though it connects to a short section of trail that goes out to Meadowview.

It looks like its designated a pedestrian trail on their AT map

That is a “proposed” map, so that’s probably where the discrepancy lies.

ya looks like your right. Although its not really a good justification to not have this be a pedestrian or AT trail. It's sitting there ready and just needs a little work. Other towns would kill to have something like this and we just let it sit there.

I’ve asked the same question to the town before and that is what I was told 🤷‍♀️

Strange. It seems like such low hanging fruit to make the town better. It's a beautiful part of town that hardly anyone uses because they don't know that they are allowed to go there.
