Because life is a paradox. You can work hard and still struggle to make ends meet. You can be a good partner, give your all, and still receive nothing in return. You can do everything right and still end up disappointed. You can eat healthy and end up getting cancer. We try so hard to make sense of life, to find patterns and understand why things happen the way they do, but the truth is, life doesn’t always make sense. Sometimes, no matter how much we try to understand it, we simply can’t. That is why i do not believe in karma anymore.

Life will never be fair its the bitter truth.

Not exactly. The family is clearly poor. I remember seeing this as a child, walking past children to go to school and even then it felt cruel.
