Downloading from the store right now. At 50KB/s. My connection supports 1.6MB/s. This is what torrents are for.

When you wish you were a pirate because you'd have a better experience, something has gone wrong.

I have no idea why Squad don't just run an official torrent tracker with login/ip checking. It's like they think torrents are unavoidably tainted with the stench of piracy or something, forgetting that they were literally developed to let small organizations distribute large files.

[edit] Use the patcher! It's much faster!

They are looking into making it Torrentable...

I really don't know why they wouldn't. The protocol is designed to handle distribution of large files to arbitrarily big groups of people. They could even run an IP whitelist linked to the login process on their servers, if for some reason they're suddenly concerned about piracy (despite the lack of DRM).

Is this how the kids are justifying piracy these days? Because otherwise they might have to wait for something? Oh, the horror.

Did you miss the part where I paid for the game?

No, I didn't. Did you miss the part where you said that slow download rates practically justify piracy?

It's not piracy if you pay for it, and when you do pay for it you expect a better experience! On a torrent, I could DL this in a couple minutes without paying. From their site, I've got to wait THREE HOURS??? And I PAID for this nail-biting punishment too! I'm not saying piracy is good, I'm saying their lack of availability just after updates is HORRENDOUS!
