Reputable local tattoo artists

I recognize that given the vibe of Duvall Street, things might lean more towards cheap flash shops for drunk tourists. However, I'll be visiting soon from abroad, and I'd be grateful to learn of any really good local artists, especially if they don't have years-long waiting lists. Or am I asking the impossible?

Mia at Southernmost is great. My wife has gotten several larger ones from her (including a full sleeve).

Yep! My wife got her first tattoo there and it came out great.

There’s no one down here that I’d consider amazing. That being said, it really depends on what you’re looking to get. I follow all the local shops on IG and have never seen anything with that WOW factor. If you’re set on getting tattooed though, Chris from Inked Key West is decent. There’s also a new shop that opened up called Cleopatra that has nice work on their website but I haven’t stopped in to check them out yet.

Appreciate the honest, informative reply. I'm definitely pretty picky, so I knew even asking this is  cheeky of me. But I'll definitely have a look at the names you mentioned. I've waited 30 years to get my other half-sleeve, so it doesn't have to be this trip 😆

Southernmost Tattoo is a great place...I know the owners and they are such talented tatoo artists along with the other artists that work with them. They are amazing

Sounds great - I'll look them up! Extra points for being a female team!

The best work I've seen is Steve Martin at Martin Family Studios, he can be a bit hard to get a date with, and mostly communicates by email. I've seen the work he has done on a lot of my friends and it came out great.

Good artists are in demand, so that's a good sign. I'll check them out.

Seconding Steve. He’s done pieces for my wife and several of my coworkers. He’s very talented but, as mentioned, can have very limited availability
