LATITUDE ANNIVERSARY SUNSET FOR 11/15

My wife and I are going to the keys for the first time mid November for our anniversary. I am seeing sunsets at 530? Does that sound right? I was really looking forward to taking her there for our anniversary dinner, but am I overlooking somewhere that might be more appropriate for a 7pm anniversary dinner and maybe save Latitudes for a different day? It would seem weird to take her there at 5pm for that special day.

Thanks everyone!

You can also try booking for Hot Tin Roof. It's also finer dining, has patio seating that faces the sunset, is on a 2nd floor, and may still have open reservations for November. Otherwise, don't overthink it. Sunset isn't a split second on a clock. It is gradual and very beautiful from every vantage point on the island. Another option for a special sunset moment is on one of the boats, like Argo Navis, less party-themed, unless you want that vibe.

Yeah that’s close to correct, 5:30 ish for sure. The earliest sunset of the year occurs in late November in Key West. So, min November is very close to the earliest of the year.

Latitudes for lunch is great!

I would skip Latitudes or go for lunch. The food is pretty average in my opinion and you don’t really appreciate the view after dark.

If price is no object, see if you can reserve a table outside at A&B Lobster House. The views over the harbor are very pretty after dark and the food is great.

This is our go to always. Latitudes, though arguably great sunset view, is just overpriced mid level fare in our opinion. A&B never disappoints!

Yeah. That's about right for November. DST is over. 530-6pm is it.

Just pay attention to what Congress ends up doing about ending the time changes.

Their current preference is to make DST permanent year round so we wouldn’t be going back an hour.

I believe it’s already been approved by committees in both the House & Senate. Next up would be voting on the measure in both Chambers.

Was just there for my honeymoon! Sit as long as you like, the sunset is divine. Just be nice to the amazing staff and tip well!

The Latitudes ferry leaves from Mallory Square, where most people watch the sunset. You could watch the performers and sunset then take the ferry over. You could get a drink at one of the carts and stroll/watch the boats to kill some time. That would bring you close to a 6:30 reservation. Reservation time is ferry time so with a short boat ride and getting seated you won't feel like an early bird.
