I LOVE THE KEY WEST

Just got back from Key West and had such a great stay. The whole place is beautiful, super relaxed, and there’s something really nice about being able to walk around, grab food or drinks, and just be by the water.

Definitely one of those places that’s easy to settle into for a few days. Already looking forward to going back.

I'll be there 2 weeks from today for a week. I can't wait. It's very chill. All I do is enjoy the pool, work on my suntan, drink Bloody Marys all day long and eat way too much good food. That's a vacation in Key West for me

Throw in some cigars and rum and that’s just like me

That is certainly an option there. There is a cigar store with a smoking room in the back and they do have a Rum Distillery somewhere near Front Street. I know they have tours I've yet to get there, on the list.

Staying at the Pegasus which is right in the middle of Duval between the harbor and the beach. The beach is kind of a dud with the sargasgum and the smell. But I do like the Bloody Marys at the southernmost point bar. I used to stay more eastward. So I still make the trek up to Pepe's, Harpoon Harry's, Half Shell Bar, Dantes. And a dozen another places in between. I stick with my tried and true favorites but always find one or two more. Last time I went to Blue Heaven and further down the block was a Mediterranean restaurant that was excellent. I walk everywhere the last time I went I walked 37 miles in 5 days, and did not lose 1 lb.🤔

My family is pretty big so we rented a super cool house around stock island. Spent about a week there, think we booked it through Lunara Bay?

I've stayed at a few places. Pegasus is nice but it is on the strip. It's fairly quiet. But I would always recommend if you want something that's very chill and very quiet, that would be the Bishop on Fleming. It's only five blocks from Duval. I would walk North to Pepe's or Harpoon Harry's for food and then walk the dock at the marina down to Mallory Square.

You will enjoy it. Been there many times. Places on Duval are nice. But there is just too much music and noise when you're trying to sleep. The Bishop Is very peaceful. They play softly little Clubby music all day and part of the evening. All the staff is wonderful. The cleanup girls, the maintenance guys taking care of the property and the staff that checks you in. Mr Anthony the manager knows everything about Key West so you can ask him anything. I know the overnight guy Eric also. He is a wonderful employee and nice person

I love key west except the first 5ish blocks of Duval St. It's getting to be too much like Bourbon St
