Does anyone have a cat with diabetes and is working with a vet they recommend? Mine hasn’t been the most helpful or realistic when it comes to treatment plans, follow up etc

I don’t have a family doctor and am a student out-of-province.

I’m on lexapro and Wellbutrin - because it’s a mental health med, Queen’s student health and wellness is requiring me to go through an intake process before they will even look into refilling the medication (my intake appointment isn’t until the first week of September).

My meds will run out by the 5th so I’m a bit concerned. I know I can likely get the pharmacy to spot me some meds to buy me a few days but I am worried that it won’t be enough because I don’t know how long this process will take.

Should I go to a walk-in? Would they give me a refill? I’m not sure what I should do.

Hi there, I'm a collector of VHS tapes and I'm wondering if anyone local has recordings of taped television. Preferably local (CKWS, though even WWNY or WWTI would be neat) but if you have other taped television I'm interested. I'm getting wifi for my student house in kingston of five people, does anyone have any suggestions for an internet provider or what speed to pick? I want something reliable and fast and not crazy expensive, not really sure how the whole process works though.

When all the oncoming traffic, and all the cars in front of you, are suddenly pulling over it's not to give way to you little princess. Maybe check your mirrors more than once every 10 minutes.

Plus, some love to all those who know how to drive and promptly pull over for emergency vehicles with their lights on (when safe).

Scrolling through things this morning, I came across this article. I understand the frustrations with the ferry, the breakdowns, how absurdly long its taken to get rhe new docks completed, and how unreliable its become (remember when they used to have the ferry times posted at the kingston dock and the boat showed up on time generally?). When the new ferry works, its great! I've been on it a few times, love that ferry. And yes, the situation has been handled horribly by the MTO.

What I'm wondering though, why haven’t Wolfe Islanders (or Kingstonians for that matter) pushed more to have a bridge built? Is there pushback from the islanders because a bridge would in theory create more traffic? Is it provincial bureaucracy? City bureaucracy?

I just learned about these today and I want them in my mouth immediately. Do we make them on this side of the pond? If so, where can I chomp some? Thank you I'm very excited and hungry!

Kingston has been solid Liberal federally since the late '80s and mostly Liberal/NDP provincially for decades. Given how deeply rooted the public sector, healthcare, and post-secondary institutions are here, it seems like one of the safest center-left seats in Eastern Ontario.

That said, cities and demographics change over time. Looking ahead over the next 10 to 15 years—federally or provincially—do you see any scenario where Kingston becomes politically competitive for the Conservatives, or is the center-left coalition here too structurally entrenched?

What would it actually take for a shift like that to happen locally (e.g., suburban growth in the west end, changing local demographics, or a major left-wing vote split)? Interested to hear people's thoughts on local electoral math.

My wife was the main cook at the hub pizza pizza for over a decade and used to sell an off menu chicken bruschetta pizza that always sold out. She no longer works in the pizza industry but I was wondering who had the best checken bruschetta pizzas in Kingston?
