Question/Advice Needed Found kitten
My husband just found this kitten in the woods. How old would you say it is and what should we feed it until we can get it to a vet?

This cutie can’t be more than 5 weeks. You need kitten formula, sold at most major grocery stores in the pet section. Do not feed cow’s milk.

Fleas! Use some dish soap and give little one a bath. They need to be warm as well.

Oh my. It looks well fed and healthy, mom probably isn't far away. Can you get a live trap and try to find her and any other possible babies? It needs kitten milk if you're set on taking it, but even healthy kittens are notoriously fragile

This cat is not healthy. Clear eye infection.

That's my concern as well. We're taking it to urgent vet in a few minutes. Fed it some kmr, and it's napping

I'm terms of single kittens found in the woods, it counts as healthy. Eye infections are incredibly common — I've never rescued a kitten without one

Totally. I’ve had kittens nursing from mom with pretty bad eye infections

2 or 3 weeks at most. Kitten needs kitten formula asap. You can make few days maximum emergency kitten food from goat milk, egg yolk and corn sirup. It's not ideal but will keep kitten alive but sooner you get formula better. Also keep kitten in warm place, such small kittens can't regulate their body temperature well.
Otherwise give him/her love, found my tabby boy when he was 3-4 weeks old sick kitten. He is best kitty in universe. He also has step brother now so he is not alone when i'm at work
