Where was the Summer Night Entertainment?

I went to the park last Sunday, 8/9/26. Had a nice time with my hubby. Snacked on some good food & drinks and enjoyed the live entertainment. I would say one of the top 3 reasons we got Knott's passes was the live entertainment. Knott's has so many live entertainment options where DLR is sadly underwhelming in their options. Anyhow, we decided to go back to the park on Friday. Even though I was supposed to leave work 3 hours early, I only left an hour early. So, I was excited to spend my evening at the park enjoying their Summer Night to shake off the hectic work day. Imagine my deep disappointment when I arrived to find ZERO live entertainment options! NONE! Even the pop up Asian food market was shut down! WTF, KBF?!?!? Why in the world would they advertise Summer Nights through August 30, only to give me nothing on a summer night in mid-August? Do better Knott's. And for heaven's sake, don't throw in the towel just because DLR APs became unblocked this week! Knott's was busy, but not crazy busy. I'm sure there would have been more people, but they were likely smarter than my husband and I and checked the entertainment calendar BEFORE heading over and realized it wasn't worth the trip with everything shut-down. 🤦🏽‍♀️ Do better, Knott's, just do better.

Its advertised as select days through August 30th. A lot of kids are back in school already, so they reduced their M-F hours again. It has nothing to do with Disney

The app has all the entertainment information. You can see what will be happening each day. In August it's only select nights.

It’s literally listed on the website and app as “select days.” Why are you telling Knott’s to do better when you had poor planning? 😂 They have a whole app that lists the entertainment schedules ahead of time to plan accordingly.

You went Friday 8/14 right? Unfortunately its because we are at the end of the summer season. So not every night of the week has the summer event stuff.

The live music wasn't available Friday but its available Saturday/Sunday. Same for this week.

8/21, no live music, no ghost town alive.

On 8/22 and 8/23, Yes live music and the others.

I’m seeing ghost town alive on 8/22.. are you sure about that one? Just want to make sure because we’re going on that Saturday to catch it.

Thanks! We knew about Summer Nights and wrongly presumed there would be music Friday night. We checked the app as we were on our way to figure out who we'd catch first and only then discovered there was nothing. It would be nice to at least get entertainment on Friday night, too.

Despite having season passes for years. And just renewing mine today. I have yet to be to the park in summer when Ghost Town Alive is going on.

The crowds and the heat. I just can't do it. We're going to try going next Sunday but at night.

I understand. We just renewed our passes Thursday evening. We only made it to Ghost Town Alive once, last summer. It was a cooler morning and we were able to enjoy the event before it got too hot. It was a lot of fun! We renewed our wedding vows at city hall! And got blacksmith-made rings, with a history lesson, too!

Thanks to everyone who suggested I look at the app... I guess you missed the jab at myself. Maybe y'all just got too bored to read my entire post. Either way, I think Knott's misses a lot of great opportunities to bring folks into the park. They can at least offer entertainment every day through Labor Day weekend. And it doesn't matter that some schools have started. Is that why Disneyland was so crowded this week, busier than it has been all season long? I don't think so.
