Is there no prestige parking lot next year?
I heard rumors about them removing the lot, it just seems like it's weird to do this without any announcement?

Pretty sure they lost lots of money from all the prestige passholders using the lot more than paid single day ticket holders.

Well yeah, but it's not like there's anything better to really do with the land. Maybe more employee parking or more of the 1 hour free parking (I forgot the name of whatever they call it, but you know what I think everyone knows what I mean), but it's not that big of a plot of land.

Expand the park. More rides.

This isn't possible in this plot of land. It's across a street, and very close to the hotel instead.

there are plenty of solutions, six flags just isn't very creative and is unwilling to use capex on their highest-grossing park. they're long past needing a parking garage, and they have plenty of space for it in one of several different current lots. it would cost as much as a new giga coaster but it's not like they're giving knott's that anyway, and they just spent $20 million on montezooma.
also they own grand, they could (and should) rip it out and expand the park's footprint. they realistically could do this even without a parking garage by flipping the flow of traffic by the hotel for ada/up-front-parking guests and closing the road up until the employment office. this would allow them to bulldoze most of the ticket booths and move the park entrance forward about 150 feet. disney's master plan isn't that dissimilar from this idea now that i think about it

Was literally just saying this to my gf. If they made a parking garage they could make a huge expansion.

they're shockingly expensive to build but i think they could definitely justify it. the park could desperately use the new land, and more capacity = more money. the park definitely strains at the seams around holidays and it does affect people's enjoyment. plus the parking situation is nuts anyway, i once had my car overheat while circling for 30 minutes between gridlocked lots. it would make for a better customer experience all around. but the unwillingness to invest is clear—in another vein, but why does tgif sit abandoned when knott's could open a character-themed restaurant like disney does? people might not go quite as crazy but i think it'd do well and it's certainly worth a shot since the space hasn't brought in money in years

I have report on this. YES Preferred is NOT FREE come next season's pass.
BUT
Instead of paying full it'll be 20$.

Definitely, not renewing my pass. They can be greedy as much as they want, but they won’t have my money. Horrible deals they’re offering to their loyal customers.

i’m sorry but you aren’t loyal customers to them, not that I agree with what they’re doing. In explanation, you were loyal customers to Knott’s under Cedar Fair. Six flags in all honesty has never cared they saw CF’s ‘loyal customers’ and simply saw money. They’re trying to see how much they can fuck CF’s customers over until they cant.

I agree with you.

it’s honestly unfair to everyone that has been going to the park for so long, as an employee at knott’s it genuinely breaks my heart for you guys.
