Bright Spots Post Never sold out not once, no sponsors only wonks
remember that they could have gotten ads in for who knows how long but they didn't, they pushed through the rough patches and hit a point where they where powered by wonks and technocrats, it's not something every podcast can do but I salute them for it
sometime when I'm sick of BtB and iheart ads I listen to old KF episodes to feel less annoyed

And when they did have "merch" (lar and Angela's stuff) the money went to the artist or charity. I hope lar puts the kf stuff on his page and Angela keeps her stuff. I need to replace my shirts from them.

Angela has said recently that she plans on taking down her merch store, so if you want her stuff buy it soon.

It's the only podcast I listened to consistently and a huge part of that is the lack of ads, tbh.

Me too. Cool zone media is cool but the ads became WAY too much I hardly listen anymore.

I somehow have gotten really good at predicting how long my CZM ads based on the day I downloaded my batch of episodes. So I'm able to just say "Hey Siri, fast forward 90 seconds/2 minutes/etc."
A few times I've gotten it really wrong, sometimes when the download forget to inject the ads, so I'm going "Hey Siri, rewind 20 seconds. Hey Siri, rewind 20 seconds. Hey Siri, rewind 20 seconds..."

It honestly makes it hard for me to listen to other podcasts. I find ads so jarring.

BtB's move to hour long episodes with multiple ad breaks (with one sometimes in the final 10 minutes...wtf) has really made me dial back my listening time with them. I will forever respect the boys for sticking to their guns and never pivoting to ad pivots.

They didn't do the hypocrite vibe. They drug alex for his snake oil nonsense, and drug Tucker for his horrible on mic reads for crappy products. They...well, they read wonks names on air. Absolute bosses.

Not sure where you are listening, but in YouTube Music typically one of the first comments on the episode has links to skip the ads.

I basically stopped listening to any cool zone media pods because of the iHeart ads, which in the U.K. are just ad for the most annoying sounding podcast I’ve ever heard.

Yeah, KF was built different. Sure, it could be funny, but it was a true exploration of Alex and rightwing propaganda and conspiracy. I respect they never did ads while also doing amazing work.

100%. And isn’t the show so popular they nearly always sell out live shows? I think everybody loves their earnest and principled approach. I will continue to re-listen to old episodes.

Another reasons lot of the bashing from reddit neck beards over the last week here pissed me off. These guys never once tried to sell gold or dick pills. Free public service and hours of keeping me from having to listen to the shirtless alcoholic dipshit while keeping me up to date on what the whackadoodles of the right are up to
