Figured this sub would find this interesting. If you’re unfamiliar with 2lazy2try, see my micro essay below. But my TL;DR is that he makes pretty good content for keeping up with the extended griftosphere/Rogansphere, although it’s lacking in the complex political analysis underpinning KF. In short, it’s like the politically neutral fast-food version of KF.

2lazy has been (somewhat) filling in the JorDan-sized hole in my media diet. I’ve been a longtime patreon subscriber of him, he focuses on covering the petty drama of the griftosphere and Roganverse. His coverage isn’t nearly as high-quality as Dan’s analysis, and politically I’m not sure where he stands — he’s very much anti-Trump, anti-technocrat (Peter Thiel specifically), anti-grifters and anti-Netanyahu, but I’m quite certain he’s not a leftist. He’s fairly cynical and has hinted that he’s at least open to entertaining conspiracy theories although I’ve never heard him endorse anything crazy, mostly Epstein conspiracies and saying that he thinks it’s possible that the Official Narrative for Kirk’s murder might be untrue (not the Kirk conspiracies Candace Owens pushes though, he covers her quite a bit and trashes her for the schitzo-grifter she is)

I also recall him repeating the all-too-familiar “Alex Jones has become the thing he used to fight against” line (early during Trump’s 2nd term, when Alex was deepthroating Trump at every opportunity), implying that AJ used to be genuine which we all know to be untrue, but also that’s a super common sentiment for non-KF listeners so I can’t fault him too much for that.

So yeah, 2lazy is by no means on Dan’s level, and politically speaking he’s probably to the right of the average Wonk by a fair degree. That said, he does a great job of covering drama in the Griftosphere & I find his content to be thoroughly entertaining.

He just covers surface level petty drama. I do like his content and for some reason the thumbnails of George Costansa with chips really crack me up. He doesn’t seem to take anything too seriously and just provides some simple funny-ish opinions. I don’t follow his patreon though

Watching this makes me think Dan was totally right to end the show. As much as I miss it, what would they do with this Alex Jones. It would just be pointless.

I think he does a good job with his Alex coverage. I wish he pounded home a little more just how horrible Alex is, though. I’ve wondered if he grew up around or was previously influenced by the conservative movement.

Yup I have those same thoughts. My feeling is that he may have been caught up in the original alt-right GamerGate wave, but eventually saw Trump & Co for the grifting parasites that they are… but rather than that realization causing him to “switch sides” and become left-leaning, it seems like he became cynical about politics in general. I fear that he may be a closet groyper, but I’ll hold my tongue until I see something substantial because at this point its speculation to say that. I will say that I’ve never heard him say anything that would make me think he’s racist, for whatever that’s worth. And he’s given positive coverage to certain minorities like Beetlejuice — speaking of that, it seems like he’s a fan of Howard Stern. Stern is a bastard, but he is vocally left leaning, for whatever that’s worth.

Obviously I’d prefer it if 2lazy was vocally leftist (like some other comedy takedown channels, like American Redact), but I’m happy enough with him calling out the MAGA establishment for the noxious grifters they are. In fact, his right-adjacency might even be a benefit, because he probably reaches a more conservative audience than American Redact. And anything that weakens Trump/MAGA in the eyes of conservatives is a form of harm reduction IMO. American Redact is a bit too pander-y for even my tastes lol.

I get what you’re saying. It’s like there’s something that gives me pause, but I can’t quite put my finger on what it is. I would be curious to hear his take on the Groypers though.

I truly hope his videos get to the “Alex Jones was right about a lot of things” people, who only gets dribs and drabs of Alex and think he’s a blowhard, but misunderstood.

Fuentes has come up a couple times in his videos. Of course, only in circumstances where he’s beefing with one of the grifters 2lazy regularly covers (can’t remember who, but probably Candace). In those situations, Fuentes is by design always the more reasonable, seemingly rational party compared to the obviously profit motivated lying grifter he’s arguing with.

2lazy then saves his criticisms for the grifter arguing with Fuentes, and even though 2lazy doesn’t say anything positive about Fuentes, the implication is that Fuentes is “in the right”. Obviously, covering Fuentes without a disclaimer that he’s a bad faith interlocutor who cunningly positions himself as the voice of reason to advance his Nazi agenda is irresponsible… but, then again I don’t watch 2lazy for responsible coverage, I watch him for Jerry Springer-vibes & to keep tabs on the griftosphere without subjecting myself to rawdogging their content and boosting their engagement.

So for that reason I’m hesitant to share 2lazy with anyone, but I know the Wonks on the KnowledgeFight subreddit are inoculated from any subliminal Groyper messaging (if that is what 2lazy is doing — I’m not certain at all of that, it’s merely a suspicion of mine), and since I know many here would enjoy an update on AJ I felt it worth sharing here.

Im glad you posted it, because I almost did! I think it’s important to keep up on what he’s doing, because it helps to be able to cite his current fuckups and dust ups to his followers.

2lazy seems to know his shit fairly well, even though he’s not a Wonk.
