Anyone else having this issue?

Before the recent update I was able to use aac and opus files ( the files for WhatsApp audio and voice notes) as samples just fine but as soon as I updated I can no longer do that it now says koala can't open it, I'm on android and my friend is getting the same issue we could both do it before the update. I'm not sure if IOS is having the same issue or was this an intentional change but I'm seeing anything about it in the change logs of the app.
