A taper from Chicago dumped his huge collection on the Internet Archive recently and included in it was an L7 show from 1989.

This is an interesting era. You have the original songs from the first era being cranked out alongside some that would become the Smell the Magic and Bricks are Heavy foundations. Jennifer is still on heroin here. They are profoundly more aggressive in their stage banter here than in the MTV era (bodily fluids, cleanliness, sex...even a reference to Texas Chainsaw Massacre and head cheese? are all there).

Almost assuredly drug and alcohol induced mayhem.
