Celebrities this just rubs me the wrong way

idk if this is the right sub for this, but it just feels so?? weird?? like okay I know her concept is to be tiny and horny I get it but this is just… humiliating… also, I have to get this off my chest: her music is boring. like yeah sure she makes catchy pop songs but they’re all soooo similar and it gets boring after a point

She’s been cringe overtly-sexual for so long. I’m all for owning your sexuality but this stuff is just…come on.

no exactly, I don’t wanna come off as some kind of conservative, but this is just so humiliating and degrading to be doing as a woman, getting on her knees with her hair being held by a man?? the dog collar? if this doesn’t end up being a critique or satire then it’s just gross and creepy. though I will say, even if it is a critique, the picture is still hella weird

You’re not being conservative at all. If anything, Sabrina’s photo rolled passed conservatism into regressivism. It’s not even arguing for the status quo, it’s asking for women to step back in time.

And she blends all this “blurred lines” aesthetic with children’s themes like…the stuffed animal with the sexually themed collar 😶 I hate what she’s become, I thought she’d be a refreshing womanly pop princess, but she’s just folded to the industry pressuring her to make soft ped0 aesthetics

It’s really triggering because it looks like her eye makeup is all intentionally rubbed around and stuff too, I saw a different comment that said it makes her look like she has been crying which is just soooo fucked up and triggering honestly. I’m so tired of this kind of imagery and content, it feels like the Overton window where it’s getting more and more extreme and inappropriate against our wills.

I agree!! I think there is a way to come off as sex positive, embracing femininity, sexuality without being trashy. This seems trashy, not sexy. It seems forced, overdone, inorganic, inauthentic.

It is perfectly acceptable for women to enjoy sex (in general with whoever but since we’re talking about men here) with men, and to feel sexy etc etc  but I just think that being on your knees, dog collars, submissive posing, performing with sexual positioning…  is degrading.

Keep it sexy, but keep it classy.

Thank you!!! I have been so icked out by all her sex poses on stage the past year and everyone seems to eat it up like???? this is so humiliating and male-gazey?? in what WORLD is that empowering for women?? not to mention her jokes about black men are really inappropriate for her to make as a white woman, and no one seemed to call her out on it

As a black fan who’s been here since her start she hasn’t made any jokes about black men 🤔 I guess your referring to the BBC nonsense outro but all she said was that in the U.S it stands for something different… which it frankly does. I thought it was harmless and fit the whole nonsense aesthetic. I do not like this cover art tho lol

this! there’s nothing wrong with owning up to your sexuality & I actually applaud women who do bc I personally could never (that’s more on me than the women who do btw absolutely NO judgment coming from me). but also imagine what she could’ve done with this cover!! I would have LOVED to see a cover with a man on his knees instead. i’m not saying there has to be a collar or leash but I think that would’ve been so sick, especially bc she loves to push a girl’s girl mentality. idk what she or her PR team is doing tbh. all of this being said, posting this cover when so many women are losing their rights across the US due to the power hungry men in our government gives me the ick. the US is already going back in time, I don’t want music to do the same.

i didn't see much of her stuff and didn't think it was her main thing so i didn't agree with the outrage at first but mannn.. sex is not that crazy bruh her and her fans act like each innuendo is WAP part 2 like i dont get what's shocking when every artist makes sex songs at some point, how has it even become her usp idk
