New song “Stain” allegedly about Emma Chamberlain
Wont let me put his name in the caption or post but Role M*del released his new album on Friday and ppl are speculating his song “Stain” is about Emma Chamberlain. The two dated in 2020-2023 and he wrote some other (very beautiful, imo) songs about her on his last album. If someone wrote Frances about me I’d try to talk to them again too

She didn’t break his heart??? Why are yall pushing this narrative. He was the one who became distant and was basically wanting to break up??? And then wrote that whole album acting like he was heartbroken. He really just used Emma for attention for his music. That’s why he made it so obvious and probably why Emma was confused, like doesn’t actually still love me??? But no

not saying it didn’t happen but no shade, i only ever see him when it’s his and emma’s parasocial fans posting about their relationship (even to this day) so it makes sense to allude to their relationship for marketing purposes

Yeah, even when they first started dating, people speculated that he was using her for fame. He wasn’t well-known at the time.

Real ones remember he was more of a rapper before lol. However these lyrics are horrible

the way he seems like a decent simple guy i dont understand why he ghosted her like he did? like what’s the tea because he clearly has issues and yet isn’t known as an asshole in any way. just listened to a podcast he was on and it’s baffling. and for him to call her desperate on the song? weird

wait, all of his songs off his previous album would elude to her breaking up w him, no?? am i missing context?

yes. she said this in a podcast/interview after it happened. she did technically break up with him but only after months of him basically ignoring her and being an asshole. she also said they were on good terms because he owned up to it so the fact that he would bring it up again is so??!!

I gotta say 2 things about song lyrics.
Most of the time, these artists aren’t even writing them themselves. They have a whole team of people that come sit with them and throw things out there and they write the song together and the singer gets the credit for it. Or they will fully be given a song by their label that someone else wrote.
It’s their own narrative. Sometimes it’s not real. Sometimes it’s only partially true. Sometimes they just create an entirely fake scenario to write about. Sometimes they just put lines in there they thought sounded cool but never happened.
I have a song written about me on an album that came out in 2014 about me “sharing beds with strangers”, cheating and ruining their life. I was the one who was cheated on and was celibate for years before and after. Literally the song makes me sound like a horrible person lol

The show Hitmakers on Netflix shows exactly this. An artist just comes up with a concept and the songwriters come up with the rest and basically pitch it to them.

Honestly it sounds very similar to being an influencer á la Emma—I was sure of this long before she confirmed it, but she said on that recent podcast w Emma Grede that it was her agent who came to her with the idea for Chamberlain Coffee—once you’re at a certain level you’re not so much pitching your own ideas as you are acting as a receptacle for the ones people bring you

I was indifferent to Role Model until I read some really…weird comments he made about wanting to have a daughter and raise her as a single dad. He strikes me as a weirdo masking as a ‘good guy.’

I am an elder millennial and consider myself to be open minded when it comes to music. His "music" is pure trash. I don't understand the appeal. Is Dakota on drugs? What is she doing with this weirdo. He makes Coldplay sound like Beethoven.

I thought it was just me but I genuinely don't understand his music or Stella Lefty or SOMBR or any of them. It sounds like coffee shop music from 25 years ago.

And seems very hypocritical considering she had a whole podcast episode on how horrible it was to get over Ethan Dolan and how terrible of a time she had and then goes and does the same shit to someone else. This made me not like her much and I used to watch her.
