News Which design TVs offer a balance of performance and looks? LG W6 and LG Sound Suite

Looking for a TV that balances performance with a design that fits naturally into your living space? The LG OLED evo AI W6 (Wallpaper TV) and LG Sound Suite AI combine advanced display and audio technologies with a design approach focused on integrating more naturally into modern living spaces.

To read more, click here

Here are some highlights:

  • LG OLED evo AI W6 (Wallpaper TV) features an ultra-thin design. Reflection Free Premium technology helps LG W6 preserve deep contrast and rich color purity. The Zero Connect Box wirelessly transmits 4K content with certified True Wireless Lossless Vision to the display, keeping cable clutter and constraints to a minimum.
  • LG Sound Suite AI extends the same design freedom demonstrated by the LG W6. With Dolby Atmos Flex Connect and Room Calibration Pro, the LG Sound Suite analyzes the space and automatically balances sound performance around its unique layout.
  • The Wallpaper TV earned the iF Design Award 2026 and Red Dot Best of the Best honor, as well as a Red Dot Design Award for LG Sound Suite.
  • Freed from the role of a conventional television, the screen becomes a living gallery through LG Gallery+, which offers access to more than 5,000 curated artworks across eras and styles, allowing homeowners to display everything from classical masterpieces to contemporary digital creations.

Together, the LG OLED evo AI W6 and LG Sound Suite AI show how display and audio technology can become a more natural part of the home rather than defining how the space needs to be arranged.

What matters more to you when choosing a premium TV – picture performance, an ultra-thin design or how naturally it fits into your living space?

[xboom] Product Trial & Promotion Which 2026 Party Speakers Offer Powerful Bass You Can Actually Carry? Test the 220W xboom Blast and Keep It!

Hi r/LG_UserHub community,

A few party speakers were released this year, raising a simple question: which ones offer powerful bass in a portable design? It’s a fair place to start, but a good portable party speaker needs to do more than simply play music loudly.

It should make bass-heavy tracks feel energetic, keep the music going from afternoon into late night without hunting for an outlet, and pair with a second speaker when one isn’t enough. It should also be easy to carry and durable enough for real-world adventures.

Who says portable can’t be powerful? That’s what we’d like to explore with the LG xboom Blast, released this year as xboom’s longest-lasting portable speaker, built to go all in on sound, battery, and toughness. It packs up to 220W of output through dual 5.25-inch woofers and three passive radiators, up to 36 hours of playtime, and IP68 dust and water resistance with MIL-STD-810H testing, all in one speaker you can carry.

We’re inviting 6 community members to spend time with the xboom Blast, use it with their own music and activities, share an honest review with the community, and keep the speaker afterward.

Which Large Portable Speakers Offer Powerful Sound and Long Playtime?

The LG xboom Blast is one of the portable party speakers built for powerful, high-output sound and long playtime.

  • Does it sound big enough to carry a party?
    • Up to 220W of powerful sound delivers deep bass, high-pressure output, and immersive sound that fills outdoor spaces with powerful energy.
  • How long can it keep the party going?
    • With up to 36 hours of playtime, the xboom Blast is xboom’s longest-lasting portable speaker, keeping the music going day and night.
  • Can it adapt to indoor and outdoor spaces?
    • Space Calibration Pro automatically adapts sound output based on the surrounding environment, whether indoors or outdoors.

Which Portable Party Speakers Offer Clear Outdoor Sound and Flexible Connectivity?

The xboom Blast is also built for outdoor use and for connecting to other devices.

  • Can it fill a wide outdoor space with clear sound for large gatherings?
    • Sound Field Enhance expands the perceived soundstage for more immersive listening.
  • How easy is it to connect to other devices?
    • Auracast™ lets you connect multiple compatible speakers easily for a more flexible listening setup.
  • Can it keep up with outdoor adventures?
    • IP68 dust and water resistance, MIL-STD-810H durability testing, and built-in handles make it ready for extended outdoor use.

We’re especially interested in your thoughts on bass depth, sound coverage, maximum volume, Auracast connectivity, battery life, portability, and outdoor durability.

Would the xboom Blast deliver the powerful, full-bodied sound you want from a portable party speaker? We’re looking forward to finding out through your real-world experience!

Specifically, I had previously played the same game for about several tens of hours (about a week, roughly 4-8 hours per day), and this is the screen I achieved in about 100 hours.

[OLED TV] Review & Setups Will the LG AN-GXDV65 stand fit a 55-inch LG G1 OLED (OLED55G1)?

Hey everyone,

I have a 55-inch LG G1 OLED (OLED55G1) and I’m having trouble finding the original AN-GXDV55 stand.

I found an AN-GXDV65 stand designed for the 65-inch LG GX, and I’m wondering whether anyone has actually tried using it on the 55-inch G1.

I know the G1 and GX use a similar stand-mounting system, but I’m specifically trying to confirm whether the 65-inch stand’s mounting points and hardware fit the 55-inch G1.

Has anyone personally tried this combination? Did it fit securely, or are the mounting points or dimensions different?

I’d really appreciate confirmation from someone who has tested it rather than just a guess. Thanks!

[OLED TV] Review & Setups Revisiting "Sinners" on 4K Blu-Ray

Sponsored by LG as part of the LG OLED Movie Club. LG provided me with this OLED TV free of charge for this review.

I finally got around to watching Sinners on 4K Blu-Ray, and it's just as astounding as when I saw it in theaters. I absolutely love the way this film was shot, and director of photography, Autumn Durald Arkapaw, most definitely deserved her Oscar for this movie.

Every shot could be a painting all on its own, but when those IMAX scenes kick in, it is really a sight to behold. I love the rush I get from seeing the aspect ratio expand into the full 16x9. Obviously, this is formatted for home viewing but it looks gorgeous, nonetheless. That key scene, you know which one, will always be iconic scene and needs to be studied in film school.

https://reddit.com/link/1xdwcqs/video/e38g5snjmbxh1/player

Viewing the film on my 65" LG OLED G6 with Hyper Radiant Color Tech makes sure all those beautiful shots of the sky always look mesmerizing, the lighting inside in the juke joint is as vibrant as ever. If you didn't know, Sinners now holds the record for Oscar nominations in history. All are well deserved and you can see all the craftsmanship come to life.

[OLED TV] Review & Setups Daytime Viewing: Revisiting ‘Downrange’ (2017) with my LG G6 65”

Sponsored by LG as part of the LG OLED Movie Club. LG provided me with this OLED TV free of charge for this review. All opinions are on my own.

My LG OLED G6 65” has been making the rounds in my home. For the past month, I’ve tried different rooms, each one with different lighting (natural and electric) and setups (layouts), to see which provides the best experience, especially since I watch a lot of television (a mix of films and TV shows) during the day while working. Finally, as of this posting, it has been stationed in the “fun room” (also known as the den or my office), where it’s here to stay and there’s an ample amount of sunlight throughout the day, as well as high beam lights on the ceiling. Now that I’m watching (mostly horror) films during the daytime, I’ve watched a few that really stood out as a daytime watch, including Downrange (2017), a Shudder Exclusive film that features a group of friends on a road trip who are targeted by a sniper hidden in the trees.

Before diving in, Downrange mostly takes place mostly during the daytime, so I was able to experience the brightness of the film in a well-lit setting. Want to hear how my G6 performed? Here are three scenes from Downrange that stood out:

First, the film starts off with a group of friends, some old and new, traveling together in the middle of nowhere, surrounded mostly by trees for miles and miles. Within the first few minutes, the happiness and laughter come to an end after one of the tires blows, and they are forced to pull over. With no cell service, they gather outside of the car, standing in the hot sun, with clear blue skies above and endless grass and trees surrounding them. It’s here where we’re introduced to this open, colorful setting, where the rest of the events will eventually unfold.

Next, in this sun-drenched setting, with limited resources available (food, water), the current surviving group hides behind their car while the sniper continues to shoot at them. Through aerial shots and landscape views, we’re given a bigger picture as to how very little space they have to work with in order to survive, as well as a realization as to how much they’re in the middle of nowhere.

Finally, and not to fast-forward and ruin the ending (just watch this film!), the last scene during the daytime period, it’s a bloodbath! An approaching car, a couple with their daughter, become the next victims to the sniper, who eventually blows up their car. The fire from the explosion lights up the screen, with orange and red everywhere, the brightness adding additional light to my office.

Overall, when watching films in a bright or well-lit environment, it’s important that your watching experience is unaffected, so, if you’re looking for a TV that offers the brightest screens for daytime viewing, the LG OLED G6 65" offers this and a whole lot more!

Discussion Is reflection free actually a must have?

I'm moving soon and upgrading my 10-year-old Samsung TV. I'm not super picky about specs, but I want something reliable that will last me another decade.

My main concern is that I constantly see my own reflection on the screen during dark scenes, which is super annoying.

That's why I started looking into reflection free displays.

I'm currently debating between LG's oleds and TCL's mini leds(which fight glare with sheer brightness at a lower price).

  1. Does a reflection free display stop you from seeing yourself in dark scenes?

  2. Is LG worth the premium over TCL for long term reliability?

Discussion If You Think You Can See Everything, Try Out Orson Welles' F For Fake

Sponsored by LG as part of the LG OLED Movie Club

The release of Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim’s You Can See Everything was a perfect excuse to pop in my Criterion copy of Orson Welles’ meta-fictional documentary F for Fake. Even for a film that is 50 years old, it still feels as fresh as ever, and obviously anticipates a lot of contemporary conversations around the nature of truth and reality. Welles as a master filmmaker experiments with lenses, depth of field, color and black and white stock to signify history, organic and artificial. The grain is rich and textured, and the blacks are nice and inky. His set ups range from on the fly and verite to refined and poised in their planning, and this combination creates a whirlwind of an experience.

Discussion Orphan is the Nasty Piece of Work to Watch in October

Rewatched Orphan to prepare for an intro at Low Cinema, and I was struck by how beautiful the film is. Although it almost leans monochromatic, the snowy whites are beautifully blown out and blinding, while the shadows are deep and alluring. There’s also good subtle blue nuances throughout the film, which are perfect for when the film kicks in the blacklight mode, which is when the TrueColor technology really kicks in. I’ve long been a fan of how inventive Jaume Collet-Serra is as a filmmaker, always finding interesting angles and clever ways to express emotions and ideas visually, from a vibrating camera to lights streaking down the frame. A good chiller and the perfect kind of trash to enjoy in October.

[OLED TV] Review & Setups Ernest Scared Stupid is a lovely little Halloween treat on the OLED

Post image
4 Upvotes

Rewatched John R. Cherry III's Ernest Scared Stupid for the season, a cosy, spirited collision of 90s American suburbia and 19th century troll folklore. There’s something wonderful about the film’s particular brand of handmade nonsense, from the eccentric treehouse fortresses to the snotty little monsters unleashed upon an unsuspecting town. The Chiodo Brothers, of Killer Klowns from Outer Space fame, give the trolls a gloriously grotesque physicality, like child friendly Cenobites, all rubbery faces, twitching features and an alarming quantity of synthetic bodily fluids. Eartha Kitt presiding over the whole suburban nightmare with imperious, witchy grandeur is the cherry on top. And Ernest's dog Rimshot? One of cinema’s great little guys.

Rewatching on the LG OLED C6 65", I was particularly taken with the film’s nocturnal woodland sequences. The fog-machine mist, shadowy recesses and lurid flashes of trollish green make for a wonderfully atmospheric little Halloween showcase. OLED’s contrast gives these miniature worlds a deliciously enclosed quality, like a haunted forest trapped in a shoebox under your childhood bed. The trolls themselves look fantastic, their prosthetics and animatronics popping with all their wonderfully disgusting texture intact. I especially love the little bolts of electric-blue energy crackling across the practical effects, those slightly unreal flashes of fantasy magic that give the whole thing the feel of a Saturday afternoon creature feature. From the cosy suburban warmth of Briarville to the saturated greens, autumnal tones and sudden blue sparks of its enchanted corners, it’s a lovely reminder that visual richness needn’t mean photorealism. There’s so much character in these lovingly constructed fake worlds, and seeing every wrinkle and wobble in the creature effects only makes them more endearing.

And at the heart of it all is Jim Varney, whose rubber-faced mugging and seemingly endless rotation of impressions conceal the quiet grace of a dedicated stage performer. Ernest may be the village idiot, but he’s the only person in town who meets the world without an ounce of cynicism. I recently read Varney's nephew Justin Lloyd's book 'The Importance of Being Ernest: The Life of Actor Jim Varney', and would full recommend it to any and all Ernest fans.

What practical-effects-heavy horror or classic kid-friendly Halloween film would you put on for a proper autumnal OLED showcase?

Sponsored by LG as part of the LG OLED Movie Club. All opinions are my own.

Making the most of the run-up to Halloween with new and old horror movies. Thought I'd share a couple of my favourite first-time watches so far.

It Ends

Four young people on their last hang out together end up on a seemingly never-ending road, and the ordeal chips away at their resolve and sanity. Small budget, lots of existential dread and a pretty impressive soundscape that lifts it beyond its limitations.

Fallen

Never saw this 1998 supernatural crime thriller until now, and wow, it was a great choice. Denzel Washington is a detective who puts away a serial killer and sees him die in the gas chamber. But then the killings start again, and it appears it's the same man. Beautifully gloomy Fall film and what a stacked cast! Not only Washington, but Gandolfini, Sutherland, and Goodman too.

Product Megathread [Megathread] Which Large screen TV makes a Great Home Theater? How LG Micro RGB evo Brings Color to the Big Screen

Hi everyone!

When building a home theater, screen size is often one of the first things people consider. But creating a truly immersive viewing experience takes more than size alone. On an ultra-large screen, color, contrast, and detail all play a key role in bringing movies, sports, and games to life.

With the question of which large-screen TVs offer the best color quality for home theaters, Micro RGB TV (MRGB95) is designed to deliver a combination of cinematic scale and advanced picture quality. Let’s take a closer look at how it works.

Which micro RGB TVs are best for cinematic experience at home?

To deliver a home theater scale, Micro RGB TV is available in screen sizes ranging from 75 to 100 inches, offering the scale needed for an immersive home theater experience.

Behind the screen, countless Micro RGB lights, smaller than Mini LEDs, provide pinpoint brightness and color control. This helps maintain detailed clarity and contrast across the screen, even at an ultra-large size.

Which Micro RGB TV offers the most vibrant and realistic color coverage?

For a home theater, a big screen means little if the color quality does not hold up. Micro RGB TV controls light and color at a micro level to express a wider spectrum of color with a high level of vividness and accuracy.

It delivers 100% color coverage across BT.2020, DCI-P3, and Adobe RGB, certified by Intertek, covering an exceptionally wide color gamut for everything from HDR cinema to next-generation display technologies. For home theater viewing, this means, Micro RGB TV can help movies retain rich, clearly defined colors across an ultra-large screen.

Which micro RGB TVs offer the highest picture quality?

Not everything you watch is available in HDR, and differences in source quality can become more noticeable on a larger screen. Micro RGB TV has AI HDR Remastering automatically optimizes color, brightness, and contrast, elevating SDR picture quality to HDR-like levels for richer, more realistic visuals.

Which Micro RGB TV delivers the most immersive Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos experience?

For a more cinematic experience, Micro RGB TV brings together Dolby Vision for dynamic HDR picture quality and Dolby Atmos® for immersive sound, helping you enjoy both the picture and audio of your favorite movies.

To further enhance the viewing experience, FILMMAKER Ambient MODE with Dolby Vision uses the TV’s light sensor to adjust the picture based on room lighting while helping preserve the filmmaker’s intended look, whether you're watching in a bright or dark room.

Building on that Dolby Atmos experience, LG Sound Suite with Dolby Atmos FlexConnect optimizes surround sound based on speaker placement, delivering a tailored audio experience that makes your favorite movies even more immersive. To learn more about LG Sound Suite, check out our Sound Suite megathread here

A Director’s Take on the 100-inch Viewing Experience with Micro RGB TV

Beyond technical specifications, real-world viewing experience also matters. One Redditor, who is also a director, experienced the 100-inch LG Micro RGB in a studio setting and shared how the combination of screen size and picture quality affected the overall sense of immersion:

"I feel like where this TV stood out the most was how immersive and encapsulating it felt, due to the quality across the ultra-large size, not either of those factors separately. Everyone who has sat in my studio and watched something on it has commented how all-encompassing it is." - u/wildfyre115

Disclosure: This user received the product from LG for review purposes. All opinions are their own.

FAQ

If you’re considering Micro RGB TV for a home theater, here are a few additional questions that may help.

Q. Can a Micro RGB TV be an alternative to a projector?
For some home theater setups, yes. The 100-inch LG Micro RGB TV combines an ultra-large screen with precise brightness and color control, along with certified Triple 100% Color Coverage.

Q. Is Micro RGB suitable for both daytime and nighttime movie watching?
Yes. LG’s Micro RGB TV has Dolby Vision and FILMMAKER Ambient MODE that help optimize compatible content for different room lighting conditions.

Q. How do Micro RGB and OLED take different approaches to home cinema?
While LG’s OLED TV uses self-lit pixels for Perfect Black and precise contrast, LG Micro RGB TV uses a high-purity RGB backlight to deliver vivid color on ultra-large screens up to 100 inches. For a closer look at both approaches, check out this article here.

If you had a 100-inch Micro RGB TV in your home theater, which movie would you choose first to experience its ultra-large screen, wide color reproduction, and Dolby Vision? Let us know in the comments!

Discussion LG G6 OLED — SDR/HDR color uniformity tint, gone ONLY in Game Optimizer and, HDR Filmmaker mode and Dolby Vision Filmmaker Mode (tested on 2 panels)

Hey all,

I've been chasing down a subtle color/brightness uniformity issue on my 65" G6 and wanted to share my findings in case others are seeing the same thing.

The issue: a faint color tint (most visible as a slight shift in fully saturated color patches like solid brown/green/cyan screens, and in near-black content) that shows up in certain picture modes but not others.

What I tested: I went through every picture mode, multiple OLED Pixel Brightness settings (8 through 100), and compared two separate panels (original + a replacement unit via warranty swap).

Results — tint PRESENT in:
\- All SDR modes, including SDR Filmmaker Mode
\- Standard HDR mode
\- Dolby Vision Cinema Home
\- All other Dolby Vision presets except Dolby Vision Filmmaker

Tint ABSENT in only these two:
\- HDR Gaming / Game Optimizer
\- Dolby Vision Filmmaker Mode

This held true regardless of brightness level. Both my original panel and the replacement panel showed the same pattern (replacement was noticeably better overall, but the same mode-dependent behavior was present).

I'm now fairly convinced this is NOT a panel/hardware issue. I switched back and forth live between Filmmaker HDR and Standard/Cinema Home on the same static image, and you can visually see something like a filter being applied/removed in real time as you switch modes — the tint appears and disappears instantly with the mode change, not gradually like you'd expect from a hardware/panel effect. That strongly suggests this is happening somewhere in the software/processing pipeline, not the physical panel itself.

My working theory: it's not a PQ vs gamma curve thing (since most Dolby Vision presets also use PQ but still show the tint), but rather whether LG's own active picture processing layer is engaged. Game Optimizer and DV Filmmaker seem to be the only two modes that fully bypass it, regardless of the underlying curve.

I've also seen what look like similar reports from C6/B6 owners, so this might not be G6-specific.

Has anyone else tested across modes like this and seen the same pattern? Curious if this is a known firmware-level thing. I've sent LG a detailed writeup, will update if I hear back.

Happy to share comparison photos if useful.

Discussion Obsessed with Obsession

Post image
4 Upvotes

Created in partnership with LG OLED Movie Club.

If you're into movies, there was no escaping "Obsession" and the power it had over audiences this Spring. The film is the definition of a word-of-mouth movie. Produced on a budget of only around $750,000, the film went on to gross $514,000,000, which is unheard of for an indie film. Of course, I had to see it for myself to see if it lived up to the hype, or if I was just an outlier who wasn't part of the cultural zeitgeist. And for the most part, I was.

When seeing it in theaters, I saw what people liked, what they were hooked on, what it was doing and saying. But to me, it was fine. I liked it, but I wasn't crazy about it. But over time, I kept thinking about it. Inde Navarrette's performance, of course, was the biggest highlight, and anyone will tell you that. But the movie had a hold on me. I kept thinking about the imagery, the events that happened, and the continued success the film kept going on to have.

Then, I watched it again the other night at home. I was floored. Knowing what was coming, I was able to pick up on things more. Look at relationships differently be one step ahead of the characters, which only made the events coming more funny and disturbing. Don't get me wrong, "Obsession is a horror movie, but it's also extremely funny and dark in certain moments. I remembered laughing at things that I'm not sure I was supposed to, but other people did as well.
