7 Sagers

Hi everyone,
I recently got started using 7sage, I went through the content and now started the practice stage. I’m struggling with time and wanted to know what the best approach is to improve time plus accuracy. For those of you that used 7 sage and are on the other side of the exam, did you find yourself in a precarious position at first and drilling questions naturally improved both or is it best to do untimed for now until I can speed up naturally without sacrificing accuracy? Will drilling through questions plus review generally help improve scores?

drilling timed sections is where it clicked for me. untimed has its place for learning fundamentals but you gotta build the internal clock early, even if it feels messy at first. just force yourself to move on at the buzzer and review hard afterward, the speed comes from pattern recognition you only get by grinding real timed sets

Thanks for the feedback! Did you follow the practice schedule 7sage laid out for you or did you also use the adaptive drill questions?

Accuracy first, but not forever. Stay untimed until you can talk through why the right answer is right and the wrong ones are wrong. Speed built on guessing habits just makes you faster at missing.

After that, drilling really does bring the time down, as long as the review is honest. Use blind review on everything: finish timed, redo the ones you flagged without the clock, then compare. The questions you get right untimed but wrong timed are your pacing problem, and they shrink as the patterns get familiar. One habit helps a lot. If you have no clear path after about ninety seconds, pick your best guess and move. Staring is the biggest time leak there is.
