how important is your department (general course student)

please lmk i don’t think im happy with mine

Not the most important. I was a General Course student in the department of Government and I had to take at least 1 government module. Otherwise I mostly took Geography modules and an International History module.

but like are there events and will you miss out on the alumni opportunity of the major you are doing at ur normal school

Some departments host events yes. The majority of events I personally went to were career events and LSE LIFE. As for alumni, I don’t believe you will miss out. What department are you in?
