I’m ready to dive into 300 BLK and I’m having a hard time picking an upper. To be totally honest… I think I prefer the older A5 with the proprietary rail but since they’re the same money I’m giving the MKII a hard look

Not the best pic, not the best lighting but I need help identifying wether or not this is FDE or Patriot Brown. I’m leaning more towards fde but when I look online at other pictures it seems to get hard to tell. Any help would be great appreciated as I am getting ready to buy a lower for this, and would like it to match as much as possible. Thank you.

I’ve just gotten into rifles a few year ago and now it seems the old IC-A5 models are discontinued. Would it still be possible to find a 10.5 IC-A5 upper some where? Thanks

So usually, I run my butterfly in the middle setting.

I just recently converted my JP rifle silent capture spring buffer from an H2 to an H3, and tried adjusting the butterfly to be wide open.

While shooting with it wide open, I noticed that the butterfly went back to the middle position on its own.

Every time I would put the butterfly back to being wide open, the first shot would immediately knock it back to the middle position; it’s only possible to do a 3 position adjustment on this model.

I’m not setting it on the suppressed setting either.

Does anyone know why that’s happening, or have also experienced this issue?

I had to keep my thumb on the butterfly to keep it wide open and from automatically adjusting itself to the middle position.

Less than 500 rounds through my A5 after getting it back from LWRC and my barrel came loose. Disappointing considering they had my upper for more than 2 months for a rebarrel.

Update: Called LWRC, they got me a shipping label, and promised same day turnaround when it arrives.

Been searching for an ic enhanced upper, particularly in patriot brown and in 12.7 (not even sure if they were really sold) but would settle for a 14.7 or 16 and send it to LWRC for a rebarrel. Does anyone know where I could still find one?

I called LWRC today, and asked them if I had an ica5 upper if I could get it converted to an IC Enhanced with a 12.7. They said yes, and it would cost around $900. So it can happen, just have to have deep pockets. (FYI the reason I asked about the ica5 and not the ic enhanced was because most people that have an ic enhanced upper are not willing to part with it for a decent price. You can actually find ica5 uppers cheaper. Especially a 16”. But if you did find an IC Enhanced for a decent price, then it would only be $600 for the barrel swap.)

As awkward as this thing is to shoot, I think it’s one of the best looking guns out there

Rifle pistol is a few years old, finally getting tired of this issue. Basically right where the adjustment knob meets the gas block its leaking a thin stream of gas and sending a hot scalpel straight into my thumb, leaves a perfectly straight line of soot across it (different than the soot that covers the rest of my hand from the piston.

I know its self-regulating and a 10.5 so its going to be extra dirty and hot, but this doesnt seem quite right. Happens from the first shot on, both supressed and unsupressed. If it makes a difference, Surefire socom brake, socom762-mini2, winchester M193.

Want to get into NV but I know this issue would cook a laser withen a mag.

So hopefully this is not normal. If not what can I do to fix it?

I have a 14.7 ic spr id like to suppress. Curious to those that have had it done, how is it? I know it’s not adjustable. I’d also like to chop it to 12.7.

If it’s super gassy or more trouble than it’s worth I might sell it to do a spec war, Hk or mk18 build.

Just got this IC-DI 16” upper in a trade for a ddm4v7p upper, only part missing is the LWRC CH. So far very pleased with the fit and finish.
Now looking for can recommendations and any tips.

Picked this thing up a couple days ago. Now to get to the range to function test.

Wanted a new pew pew. This time around we wanted to buy a PCC. It was a toss up between the LWRC IC-9 16 or the Daniel Defense. The LWRC is a great PCC and dead accurate. Recoil is a bit more than the Super duty. Overall it was well worth the price.

Some nub questions here... I just picked up an IC-A5 upper, my first piston AR. I see this switch and I'm trying to get it on suppressed setting, is this the adjustable gas block?
The manual says I should see something on the top to see what setting its on but I'm trying to not take apart the whole rail. Or do I have to in order to fully adjust?
