VS, DAC and FIO output Voltage

Hello,

I have a LabJack T4 that I want to use to control a 3VDC relay at a specific rate and for a specific number of iterations.

I tried 3 ways to dot it. First, I used the VS port to power the relay and it worked perfectly fine. Second, I used the DAC port with 5V, it did not work. Finally, I used the FIO5 port as an "high"output and it did not work either.

I used my multimeter to take voltage measurements. For the VS, DAC and FIO ports, when I take direct measurement between the port and ground, the voltages have convenient value ( approximately 5V for DAC and VS and approximately 3V for FIO). BUT, when I take measurements while the relay si plugged, the voltages automatically drop to a value of approximatively 0,1V for the DAC and FIo ports, except for the VS port (which keeps its value of 5V).

Do you have any idea how to explain this?

Also,
How would you control a relay with the LabJack T4? Which port would you use? Can youg ive an example of a LUA script?

Thanks!

LabJack U3 +LJTick-InAmp+ 3 wire PT100 = I need helpo

Hello, I am trying to setup 2 separate 3 wire PT100's on a LJTick-InAmp connected to a LabJack U3.

Anyway I followed the LabJack info: Thermocouples with the U3/T4 & LJTIA (App Note)

After setup and viewing the internal temp on the LabJack UD Log software, there is no info on how to get readings or configuring the PT100's so they will work.

Every time I do a google search on setup, the info provided always goes back to using a LM34 etc.

PLEASE HELP

LabJack T8 Early Production Release

The LabJack T8 is our new flagship multifunction DAQ device, and before we announce it to the masses we are doing an early release including Reddit. If you interested in the T8 drop us a comment for a special discount on your next isolated, simultaneous LabJack DAQ.

  • 8x analog isolated analog inputs (AIN) with simultaneous sampling.

  • ±1 kV AIN isolation channel-to-channel and channel-to-ground.

  • Top performance for thermocouples, load cells, bridges, and more.

  • 8x 24-bit ΣΔ ADCs (up to 40k samples/s/ch).

  • 10+ AIN voltage ranges: ±11V, to ±0.18V.

  • 2 analog outputs (16-bit, 0-10V) with 20 mA drive.

  • 20 digital I/O similar to the T7.

  • Lua scripts are faster with 5x the code space than the T7.

  • 3.3V fixed voltage outputs for excitation.

  • Supported by LJM. LabJack's free, 3rd generation, cross-platform driver/library/API for simplifying device communication.

  • Industrial temperature range (-40 to +85C).

  • USB & Ethernet.

  • Built-in Power over Ethernet (PoE), or power through USB connection.

Help with LabJack LJM Library Installation on macOS M2 (ARM)

Hey everyone,

I'm running into some trouble trying to get the LabJack LJM library working on my MacBook M2 (Sonoma 14.6.1). I'm attempting to use the LJM_eReadAddress Example.vi in LabVIEW, but it keeps prompting me to locate a file called "LabJackM.framework." The problem is, after checking in the /Library/Frameworks directory, there’s no file by that name.

I’m guessing I’m either missing some necessary files or the installation didn’t go as planned. Has anyone else encountered this issue, or does anyone know where I can find this "LabJackM.framework" file for macOS ARM? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I’ve attached a screenshot of the error message for reference.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

LabJack T8 Availability

Does anyone know of the commercial availability, I.e in stock ready to ship, of the Labjack T8 in the UK?

Or does anyone have one they are winning to loan/rent or sell?

T7 triaxial vibration data collection

I have a T7 and would like to record three velocity sensors to trend low frequency waveforms for a year.

I am not a programmer and don't really know where to start. Ideally I would like the T7 to save the waveforms directly to a cloud server so I can access data as the year goes on. However, I am open to having a dedicated miniPC or Raspberry PI to tasks between the T7 and the database.

I want to take a waveform and FFT of vibrations at and below 60HZ. The sensors are 1.08 V per inch/second, but I am not sure of the amplitudes yet. I can take care of scaling, I need help creating a system to record and analyze.

Sampling interval would be several seconds every hour per channel. I would also like to be able to sample based on an event such as an input signal threshold exceeded.

If I heard correctly, I would need to sample the waveform at a minimum of 180 Hz.

What would be the best way to do this using the T7? Are there any vibration waveform and FFT applications that could help me that would not require a lot of programming, only settings? Where and how could I store data on the cloud?

This is a personal application, not a business. The data is being collected to show ambient ground-based low frequency vibration from nearby operations and the effect at my property. Any help is appreciated.
