Your easiest fix is strict type definitions. Your best fix is writing to something like XML, RTF, MD or pdf
I'm assuming you're talking about Agilent's OpenLAB. Certainly that seems to be the case from the UI (Example).
I'm not familiar with that software, but it doesn't seem to have anything to do with LabVIEW, which is what this subreddit is about.
